Did some major 150,000 check up repair of timing chain, over heat on thermostat and radiator, also did a complete diagnostic, and major support and communication to us during the whole process. I would Recomwnd Toebwcks Auto Repair to all as they took care of the customer, a service I have not seen in a long time., as they even washed and detailed the car inside and out. Dave Barber is the best! I received a questionable & expensive quote from my dealership to fix a brake problem on my car. I decided to get a second opinion. I found Dave at Torbeck auto repair. After a few minutes of looking at my brakes, Dave found the problem and provided a very simple and inexpensive fix. He even took me back to the shop to look at the problem and talked me through the issue and how to solve it. Transparency and trust are a big deal to me, and Dave provided me with just that. Our family has been here twice this week and couldn't be happier! It's so important to have a trustworthy mechanic whose business makes you feel like part of the family. My van had a dead battery and not only did Dan offer to drive out to help start it, he gave me a loaner car while he was replacing the battery, he had an umbrella at my door so I wouldn't get wet in the rain and he carried all my groceries to the loaner car! We get a car wash, pens, towels and candy at each visit! It would have been a rotten day if not for Dan, Tari and their staff! Plus, they treated us to an awesome meal today at their 30 year party celebrating how long they have been in business in Hartwell!

Took my car to Dan after Tire Discounter’s didn’t repair it correctly. Was able to get me in within a couple of days, repaired my car and even filled up all my tires, including spare, cleaned my car inside and out, provide loaner car and all for a fair price. If you want great old fashioned service, Dan is the man!

Working with Dan was great. We had a major issue right before we were supposed to go on vacation. He was able to get us in last minute and get the issue fixed. The absolute best service and experience I have ever had dealing with a mechanic or getting anything on my car fixed or looked at...This includes initial call, friendliness, up front and honest, calls, call backs, time frame, cost and just over all pleasure to do business with. Service here is amazing! Such a friendly staff. They made me feel so welcome and taken care of. Asked me if I needed a ride even! I was very impressed at the way they got me in on such a late notice and had my car back to me in the same day. The prices here are AMAZING. My son's suv had a caliper lock up in his Durango while traveling from Kentucky to Northern Michigan, we managed to get his vehicle off the highway and was able to find Torbecks on a Friday at 5 pm. They were very helpful and stayed late even though they didn't have to. It was close to closing time but they immediately checked my oil and added what was needed to get me back on my way safely. I can’t say enough about Dan Torbeck. This is a generational shop from father to son and you can tell they have a lot of experience. I live in Columbus and started a new job that was headquartered in Cincinnati. I called Dan because my car, that had just been in the shop the weekend before to have the left front bearing replaced, was making a loud grinding sound after I drove to Cincinnati. I called Dan at 4pm and he said bring it right over. How many repair shops tell you to drop it off or we’ll schedule you for the following week maybe! Not Dan, he heard it in my voice that I needed help and he stayed late, stopped work on something else to help me. I can’t thank him enough. Go see this guy if you have a car problem. I recently had service on my 2007 Honda Pilot at Mr Torbeck's repair shop. He was recommended by my family members. From our first conversation on the phone I was looking forward to meeting the owner. Once they looked my car over and gave me the cost I agreed because it was very fair and reasonable. They had it done the next day and even alerted me to some things that I wasn't even aware of like 2 lights that were out and the replacement of those items were fair and reasonable as well. His staff is very nice and courteous as well. Upon completion they delivered my car back to me freshly washed! Very nice touch especially if you have ever had to deal with greasy fingermarks and smudges after getting work done. Doesn't stop there either! I got a phone call a few days later checking up on how the car was performing. You just don't get that type of service anymore. Those special touches mean a lot to me. Shows me care, character and the integrity this establishment has. I now have a new mechanic and I'm grateful. I know you will be too!
