I waited about a week maybe 10 days to post this review to see if what they did solve the problem apparently it did so extra points for good mechanic work. I had brought the car to another place close by 2x after the check engine light came on, once they replaced the catalytic for lots of money and i got about 3 days driving before it came back and then there was a thousand dollar vaccumm leak , then about a week later it came back, so i changed to TOTAL Auto service and no problems since. Addition 5-16-2023 Because i have an older car, I have been back to total Auto Service a few times now. NEVER let me down. reasonable pricing. I don't even mind that it takes them a week to fix anything more than an oil change.. they move a LOT of cars through there and i have never heard or read a disparaging word.

I took my Jeep there after being told it needed a rebuilt torque converter. They confirmed the diagnosis and gave me an estimated price half that of the dealership. I dropped it off on a Sunday night and then waited patiently. I called twice for updates, then it was finally ready Thursday late afternoon. I'm very pleased with the results. It seems to run quieter and smoother than it has in a long time. Shifting through the gears, or banging down into OD works nicely, response is quick. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Was not too impressed with this shop. I left my truck with them for over a week to get a simple pressure check done for a suspected blown head gasket. At this point, I picked up my truck. I eventually got a quote for repairs needed, and followed with requesting a quote for a used engine replacement. I never heard from them again. The shop could learn a thing or two about communicating with their customers. They may do great work, but I will never know. They lost their chance to get business from me.

Great auto shop!! They have always worked around my work schedule for drop off and pick up. I originally went to them to have my front brakes replaced after my local Chevrolet dealer stated that’s what I needed. After inspection, they called me and stated that I had lots of mileage lift on my front breaks, but said my rotors could use a resurface. During the process, their machine broke and they put on brand new front rotors and wouldn’t let me pay the difference. I’ve been using them since that day for everything…routine service, tire rotation and most recently purge valve replacement and thermostat assembly replacement. They have my business all the way!!

Never visit this shop for transmission work or customer service. Tommy rebuilt my 1978 Chevy K10 automatic transmission. The first time that I took it back they had left numerous bolts out of cross member and the remaining were loose AND the transmission was leaking. They did not install the original bolts when I took it back, they just picked up what ever they had lying around and installed them. I ended up purchasing new ones (correct ones) and installing them myself. (what if this had been an elderly person and could not inspect their work? you should be able to trust their work and not have to go behind them and inspect everything). They worked on transmission leak. I took it back a second time because of another leak. Sat on their lot for 9 days and they did not touch it (no communication with me until I called them). I took it back a third time. I forget how long they kept it this one last time. I finally called them and asked if I needed to call a tow truck to come and pick up my vehicle. On top of all this the transmission is still not shifting correctly. I guess I will take it to a competent shop that can fix it correctly the first time and pay for something that I have already paid for once. I will never do business with this shop again!

Great customer service! Had my transmission replaced, roters re-serviced and new brake pads, AC serviced. Gave me a price much better than anyone else I could find. SUV runs great! I will go back for any future repairs if needed. Highly recommend!

Tommy has built over 25 transmissions for me over the past 20 years and I have been very pleased with his work. He has always treated me fairly, never overcharged me, and is100% honest! You will be well taken care of at Total Auto Care! He is the only one I trust with my transmissions and auto repairs.

Tommy replaced my timing belt, water pump, drive belt, pulleys, ignition coils, spark plugs. He did a good job at a reasonable price. It’s true that it’s hard to communicate sometimes with Total Auto Service. They are busy and they have a small staff. But Tommy does what he can. I recommend texting them, and don’t try to call. They’ll reply to your text as soon as they’re available. I was able to easily communicate with them by texting them. Tommy has had a few bad “reviews” from people who don’t know what they’re talking about? Such as transmission bands being too tight? No. Tommy follows factory specifications for new and old bands. There are different specifications for old and new bands, and varying degrees of tightness for each. He has worked on thousands of transmissions over the course of his lifetime. You can trust him. He also replaced my radiator, coolant, and radiator hoses. He used a universal coolant that’s compatible with all kinds of coolant. Green coolant? Orange coolant? You don’t need to worry about it. Universal is compatible with all kinds of coolant if it needs to be changed in the future. He did a really good job on my truck, and he supervises all his mechanics personally. Tommy can be trusted, but it will take some more time at his workshop than others. He takes his time, and there’s nothing wrong with that. 10\10 would recommend Tommy again.

I was able to have my truck towed there they stored it fixed it quickly and walked me through what I was looking at the whole way. Miss Isabell was nice enough to let me make payments too. I would never take my car anywhere else in the world! They really know how to take care of their customers! Needed my AC fixed quickly, not only because I was going out of town this weekend but, it's the middle of July and is way too hot out to be driving around without it. I dropped my car off on a Monday evening, after hours, with their very convenient after hours drop box, and before they closed the next day, it's done! So fast! Also the office staff and customer service was THE best! I spoke with Izzy and she got me answers right away! My AC is cooler than ever and I'm so glad I chose this place to have it done! I do not usually do reviews but THIS place was worth the time to enter this. Pricing was very fair as well! Thanks to all the staff/employees here for being amazing!! Oh! And they have a number to text after hours! So convenient all around! 10 out of 10 for sure!

I'm driving a well-used '05 X-Type Jaguar that was purchased brand new in 2005. It has low mileage overall, ~140,000 and I have recently expected more minor repairs to be needed. After replacing the battery at one of the large chain operators, the car wouldn't crank. I suspected a costly new alernator would be needed. No, the battry cables had not been securely fastened! A No Charge solution. I consider myself lucky to be close enough to do my car-care business with these folks!

Wish I could give 6 stars rating! 1st visit: I took my Navigator in because I feared the worst with my transmission. I had a delay between 1st & 2nd gear. But, they said "probably just need to calibrate the computer for shifting speed." And guess what, they were right! Small charge! Other shops would have milked it into a complete transmission job I'm sure. I'll definitely be back. 2nd visit: The "dealership" said I needed new ball joints & struts (over $1200 repair). I brought it over here, they put it on the rack & checked it out. Only needed a little grease.
