I was looking for a body shop and a friend recommended Trans. I saw Trans had excellent ratings but what a disappointment. Took my 2023 Wagoneer when someone backed into my parked car and ran away. I told Trans I have 30 days rental coverage so I need it done in time. They assured me they were the best and I would be greatly pleased. Seems like they milked the whole 30 days before having me come back. When I went to pick it up, the work was bad. I might give it a pass if I was the 3rd owner on a 10 year old beat up daily driver but definitely not good work by any stretch of the imagination. Right side had massive amounts of orange peel, left side panel was floppy, middle section had dimples they claimed thats how the factory sent it. You would assume they would smooth out and block sand a factory part before painting. And dust nibs everywhere. Oh... and the car was dead. No power. I did my inspection and left them to make the necessary repairs. Round 2, they burned the edges while buffing out dust nibs and other blemishes. I had to point it out to them. No way the pro's missed it, maybe they were hoping I'd miss it. They did get a replacement battery from Napa. Don't know why they didn't just put the original battery on a charger. Round 3, Car has been repainted again. Looks better, but not perfect but I'm over it. Car is dead again. They killed the replacement Napa battery. The car is jumpstarted but the computers are not coming up properly. After a failed attempt to drive to the dealership I tell the shop to have it towed. I also let them know they have to cover the extra day of my rental car as they made my car inoperable. They said no, they had my car towed to the dealership and "washed their hands of the car". So after a thorough inspection by dealership it is determined this repair shop did not hook up a battery maintainer while working on the car with the doors open causing a very low voltage situation for the sensors to go haywire and failure of several computers on the vehicle. Some of the floppy body panels are fixed by replacing the missing clips. My insurance agent said he's seen this before. Low end repair shop not familiar with high end vehicles and will cause this situation which could have been avoided if they only put a battery maintainer while working on it. Insurance company also stated if Trans was an "in network shop" they would have forced them to pay for all the damage they caused. But Trans is NOT in State Farms network. On a plus note, my insurace company is awesome. They paid the extra 2 weeks for my rental car, and the dealership covered my rental for the several days while it was at the dealership being worked on. As for Trans, what a disappointment. They had an opportunity to make it right but "washed their hands" when they messed up. I would hope they learn from this. So if you have a keen eye or a high'er end car, stay away. They might wash their hands of your car once they damaged it too. After all this fiasco with Trans, I got rid of that car. If I kept it I would keep looking at the shoddy repair.

5 Stars!! I needed some body work done on my car and Trans Auto came highly recommended from a family member. Now I know why! On top of doing excellent repair work, they have FANTASTIC customer service. Each call was answered by a friendly and helpful person, and they were quick to get me on their schedule for repairs. Once the work was done, they walked around the car with me and did some last minute paint touch ups above and beyond what was on the actual invoice. I will recommend them to everyone I know!

Bad communication (just installed old parts instead of new without asking me, took 3 weeks and did not give updates), left a ton of glass chunks all over my trunk and below the trunk board, and smaller glass particles in my backseat (only realized there were glass particles in the backseat because I cut my hand trying to add backseat covers). The gear stick was also super stiff when it wasn't before. The job overall seemed so rushed (ex: paint drip). Didn't really feel comfortable asking them to work on my car again because they didn't care to do a good job the first time. My insurance adjuster told me how shady it was that they were taking so long, and that a good, reputable body shop will update you multiple times a week as they make progress. Also, new parts take a week max, which the body shop told me it'd take 2 weeks. She also told me multiple times that there should be additional hidden damage, as she has done this for years and knows what to expect. At first, I just assumed they didn't find any hidden damage, but after receiving the car in a sloppy state, I wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't want to go through the process to request supplements. If you're willing to get a lower quality job to save money, this is the right place. I'd choose this place if I was short on money. I'd recommend taking an extensive look when you go pick up your car. It looked good at first, except I didn't think to check for glass pieces left in the car from replacing the back glass... Also, make sure you don't need your car in a timely manner because it seems to be a common issue here. I'm glad the insurance paid for my rental.

They went above and beyond what we were looking for! After being sideswiped and having to deal with insurance and everything, having them do the most to ensure we were taken care of is more than we could’ve asked for.

I took my car in for paintless dent repair (PDR) and I’m really disappointed with the results. There are still small dents left on the car, and it looks like there may have been scratches that they tried to “paint” over — but the paint doesn’t even match. On top of that, the communication was poor. I had to reach out myself just to get updates, and the whole process took a long time. I had high hopes since this shop came recommended, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to that

Our beautiful jeep had a run-in with a deer and we had to put it in the shop for repair. We chose Trans Auto Body due to a friend's referral and we did not regret it. They were amazing and our jeep looks wonderful! Thank you so much for taking such good care of our Mjolnir and us. We hope to not need body repair work again, but if we do Trans is where we will take our cars.

Absolutely terrible experience, avoid at all costs. I don't usually write reviews, but my experience with this body shop was terrible. From beginning to end, the customer care was non-existent. I was told my car would be finished in a few weeks, but it ended up taking months with minimal updates unless I constantly tracked them down for information. When I eventually received my car back, the work was not only incomplete, but also was rushed and sloppy. To make matters worse, the bumper was not even properly reinstalled—it was crooked and loose, as if no one cared. They clearly took corners and did not care to double-check their work before returning it. If I can give 0 stars I would have.

I got into an accident... basically this FJ cruizer with a bumper guard passed 2 lanes and ran straight into my lane. My car was taken to Caliber Collision to get a quote and have it repaired. Unfortunately because my car had a salvage title & there were previous damage, they would not work on it. I was referred to Trans Auto Body (Huu Tran) via a facebook group. We fb messaged back and forth and I told him about my situation. First, It was great that he worked with Liberty mutual aka Safeco (the other party's insurance). Second, his team did a phenomenal job fixing my car!!! Huu was very honest and worked with me during the entire process. He told me that the people that fixed my car before did a terrible job and that he would be able to make it right. Lastly, after my car was repaired, there was a creaking noise in my dash (from the accident) that was really annoying. I bought it back to the shop and they were able to fix it! Bonus: he had my car washed every time I went to pick it up. A+++ For Customer Service and Job Well Done!

I had an accident in Dallas while in vacation and my car was not drivable. I had to leave it to get it fixed. So i google for a local shop and Trans Auto Body came up with a 5* Shop was closed for days due to a holiday but i was able to contact Mr. Huu and he got my car out from the tow yard that same day and had the car ready like new in two weeks including having my car washed in n out. With me being out of town and not able to stop by the shop Mr. Huu had great comunication with me concerning my insurance and progress of the repairs. I would recommend TAB in a heartbeat!!

I have a strong distrust with car shops. I worked in a repair and maintenance garage when I was younger and have taken my cars to people who would straight up lie to my face or take shortcuts. Trans Auto Body has earned my trust and praise. They made custom accommodations for my car service that freed up the burden on me. The lobby and building may not be the pinnacle of beauty, but the people here are wholesome, and they deliver quality. They're honest about the can/can't and did/didn't details. I live 45 minutes from here and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

These guys do amazing work. I had a pretty bad dent/ crease on my left rear quarter panel right where it meets the bumper and on the body line with a special decal thats no longer available, not only were they able to save the decal, they also removed the dent. VERY HAPPY!! Thank you Tran's and especially Mat. I would definately use these guys again and recomend them to everyone.

I would not recommend, had several things done and the only thing that was fairly DECENT was the paint job i had done, other than that service is bad work is also not good at all. Been having problems with my vehicle ever since i got it back and they didn't even do everything that was needed . Plus it was too expensive , also engine light turned on not even 10 minutes after I drove off there property. DO NOT GO HERE! Waste of time and money!!

I really don’t recommend this place, they charged my insurance double the initial estimate which is not an issue when you see the car in a good shape after all. Unfortunately it was in terrible condition, the paint on the backside of the hood was terrible, the car was muddy dirty when I picked it up, there was paint all over the windshield that been sprayed unprofessionally…. With all that been said; they had my car for 3 weeks to do all that!!!

I chose this shop for my repairs because they previously helped me with the claim process for my totaled Prius. Based on that experience, I assumed that good customer service would also translate into good workmanship. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case with my 2015 LS460. I live in Garland, so each round‑trip is about 2 hours meaning the three visits I made added up to six hours of driving + finding someone to take the car home and wasted effort. I brought in my LS460 along with a brand‑new, unpainted factory bumper purchased directly from Lexus of Plano for them to install, paint, and repair the quarter panel. The quarter panel repair turned out great; however, the bumper paint job was full of defects. On my first pickup attempt, the bumper looked fine from a distance. But because the car is black, I inspected it closely and immediately noticed paint dots all over the bumper. They acknowledged the issue and said they would buff it out. On my second visit, I found that only some of the dots had been buffed many were still visible. On my third attempt to pick up the vehicle, I specifically asked them to double‑check the bumper to ensure all defects were gone. While the dots were finally removed, the excessive buffing left swirl marks and scratches across the entire bumper. Their proposed solution at that point was to repaint it. A couple of days later, I received this text from the shop: “Greetings Mr. Tran, so we spoke to the owner and paint guy, and unfortunately we would hate to paint your bumper again and end up with the same results. We feel that we can't meet your expectations. So at this point the owner suggests we just charge you for the repairs done to your quarter and leave it at that. Your new balance is just $200.00. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call or a text. We are here till 6PM.” Breaking down their message: “We would hate to paint your bumper again” – shifts the risk and responsibility onto me. “We can’t meet your expectations” – reframes an objective quality issue as a subjective preference. No acknowledgment of the scratches or paint dots. This is a common tactic businesses use to avoid liability. The underlying message is essentially: “We don’t want to redo the work, so we’ll reduce the bill and hope the problem goes away.” My response to them was: “Hello, Thank you for getting back to me. I understand your position, but I do want to clarify my concern. The issue isn’t unmet expectations—it’s that the bumper paint job was not completed to an acceptable or standard quality. The visible dots throughout the bumper and the scratches caused by repeated buffing. I appreciate the offer to only charge $200 for the quarter repair; however, I want it noted that I am accepting this resolution to move forward, not because the bumper work was satisfactory, but because the paint job itself was unsuccessful and will now need to be corrected elsewhere. I will come pick up the vehicle today.” I was fully willing to work with them to get the bumper corrected as long as they were willing to stand behind their work. But repainting the bumper would have cost them additional labor and materials, so instead they chose to only charge me for the quarter panel repair. A reputable body shop would have taken responsibility and repainted the bumper to uphold their craftsmanship and quality. It also makes me question whether they would have honored their “lifetime warranty” had I paid in full before noticing the defects.

Called so many places to try to get a custom bumper painted and installed on my Accord. So many places didn’t want to mess with the bumper as it had a taillight and inserts and spoiler. These guys at trans auto did an amazing job painting it just right to match the silver color of my car and even painted parts black to match the car and just how I wanted it done. Emerson and his team are awesome. Definitely will be recommending and will be coming back if I need any work done.

Came in as a walk-in appointment, got a quote in 15 minutes, and got my car repaired over the next 3 days. Super friendly, convenient, and they restored it back to perfect condition very quickly. It would have been much, much more to go with the dealership service shop, so I definitely recommend giving them a call!
