I called around for estimates on repair costs and one of the places I called was United. I was glad to hear that the costs were very reasonable, and I already knew they had a great reputation. Repairs were made the same day, future potential repairs were discussed, and the final cost was close to the estimate. The staff was excellent and knowledgeable. I would recommend United Auto to anyone.

I had my car brought in with an issue. They got it fixed after 2 days because I had to wait after a spot opened up. I had no clue about my issues aside from electrical issues. They found it and had it resolved within 2 days because I waited for a spot to open up and I was in no rush. Great service. Would come by again. Greatly recommended by friends for a reason.

I was able to get in without an appointment. When I called in they gave me quotes that were really close to the final price ( it was a very fare price). Great customer service, every one was very friendly. They got the job done in a timely manner. Most important of all they did not give me a list of issues stating they need fixing as soon as possible. Thank you for your great service.

An awesome place! Even as busy as they were they took the time to help with my car. They were upfront and said they couldn't get to my car til Thursday after the cold snap hit Fargo, ND on Tuesday, the 29th. They recommended several towing places in the area. When I arrived on Thursday morning around 9AM the car was in the shop thawing out. By 10:30 I was on the road. Friendly, knowledgeable technicians. I would highly recommend them for all automotive services. Thanks guys!!!

Awesome customer service and timeliness. I called them right around closing time and got a quote, dropped it off after hours and put my keys in their drop box. They called me first thing in the morning with a more detailed estimate once they got to check over the vehicle and had it fixed by lunch time. Also one of the cheaper quotes I received over the phone.

When asking around where to take our car, we were told United was the only place that hires actual mechanics!! They were extremely honest and prompt. They could have taken me for several thousands of dollars but instead, they were honest enough to tell me the repairs would be more than the car is worth!! We took our other car in for a check up so they are definitely worth another shot!!! Highly recommend!

I haven’t always had the best luck with other facilities, but United Automotive on 28th Street has never disappointed me. Their oil changes are very reasonably priced and they always are completed in a promptly matter. Any other issues I have had with my car they have always been honest with me and never once have I felt like they would try to scam me into something I don’t need or even over price me. They truly are the best of the best! I have had a few instances where I have needed immediate assistance and they have ALWAYS accommodated to fitting me in right away. Quality services and trustworthy people. Could not recommend enough!

Would not recommend. Dropped my vehicle off for a simple diagnostic run and they charge $128 for labor for a part that is accessible by removing two bolts ~20 minutes maximum for a skilled mechanic. They then quoted me $350 for a part that is available at multiple websites for less than $100. Very clearly trying to take advantage of people that do not know much about cars.

Always excellent service. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I took my car in recently spur of the moment as I couldn't get it to accelerate past 15 mph and they worked on it and fixed it same day. I couldn't believe how fast they were able to work on. Plus they treated me with respect and kept me updated on the progress. I've gone there a few times for other small repairs and it's been the same experience every time which is why I keep going back. I definitely recommend!

I have been going to United Automotive for several years (and a few different cars) now, and I have to say, no matter what I need done, whether its just to be looked at or fixed, the staff here is fantastic! I began bringing my car(s) here because my dad has also been going here for auto services since I can remember. They can get me in in a timely manner, they explain in detail if there are any issues (because I am no car aficionado.. I know very little about cars), they answer all my questions, and they are so friendly. It's a lot like taking you car in to your family to get it looked at. They have even been so great with me that I once was having some heating/cooling issues and it was sporadic when it would happen so they said whenever it did again to just drop by (without an appt) and they could get it looked at. I did just that and they were able to accommodate me, get my car looked at and most importantly fixed that same day. You honestly can't go wrong with taking your car here. They will take good care of you and your car and they always call before they do anything if they find something out you need to know about that may be going wrong. Trust me, just call them, you won't be disappointed! Also, they have recently remodeled the waiting area and it looks AMAZING! Stop searching, seriously, just call them.

was told this was a good shop from a family member. I came in for a misfire on #5 cylinder, which is what my scan tool showed. Printed out a work history for vehicle since I was a new customer. Service writer glaced at it and handed back to me. Vehicle was kept most of the day. Around 3:45 pm got a call stating it was fixed and ready fir pickup. (No call to approve work) when I pickup work invoice stated #4 cylinder spark plug and coil replaced. I told the counter person that was just replaced. Seemed to drive fine that night. The next day noticed a slight misfire. Stopped by to notify a week later. Was told to bring it in. Dropped off and got a call they could not get a misfire. So $375 to replace a part that was replaced a month prior and no solution. I even told the service writer I have Screenshot data that shows it was misfiring, but he did not ask to see it and only started to bring up work that was not related to this issue. Not happy! See attached invoice, no correct mileage recorded, no check engine light was on, parts replaced were new 1 month prior. *Update ended up being a clogged muffler which a shop should have been able to easily test. I understand people make errors, but to not even address the concern after I still had the issue and dismiss me telling me my car was not misfiring. Will not use for services again.

They’ve been great. They are professional and kind and when I leave the shop the problem that I came in with is actually solved - not a headache that I have to bring elsewhere for another look. They’ve been realistic about repairs on a 20yr old vehicle and have been able to consistently get me in as issues have come up.

I was rather disappointed. I went in to get a coolant leak checked out. They quoted me over $2,000 worth of work. I asked how much for only the radiator fix that I asked for, and that came to around $1,100. I ended up getting the work done at another shop for less than $800.

Had a great experience here this week. I was in town and needed a quick oil change. Shelby got me right in and the shop had my oil change done within 20 minutes. They also discovered an issue with my AC which they were able to squeeze in as well, and done quickly. Highly reccomend!

They provide quality service at an appropriate rate. They are competent, polite, and professional. When you talk with them, they easily and professionally explain the problem and how much it would cost to fix. I've never had to deal with condescending idiots or slimy salesmen at this shop, which is a refreshing change as a woman. The surrounding area is fairly safe, which is nice for drop off/pick up. I would highly recommend this shop.

My truck broke down in Fargo so I had it towed in for servicing and was quoted $1300 so being from out of town I had no choice other than authorize the repair. After a day I got there and waited for the repairs to be made and a few hours later was given my truck back and told it was good to go. A couple weeks later I checked my oil level and it was good but found all my intake clamps were not tightened back up and I know they had it off for the repairs. The shroud is also broken in pieces. Not happy about what I found and somehow the $1300 quoted was only $438 but the not complete service makes me question there integrity.
