These guys saved me! I was in for Christmas and got a flat. They fixed it quickly and inexpensively. They are open 7 days a week which demonstrates they put the customer and their convenience first. Got a tire from them. No longer than a week later I went to another shop and they tell me that theirs a bubble on the inside of the tire. How do yall not see this when yall put it on? I wasted $60 dollars here JUST TO HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND GET ANOTHER ONE. Never coming back. Like EVER.

They are liars I sent my Son to the shop to see if they had my tire. I had a blowout on the freeway. They told him. Yes I called when I was on my way with the tow truck. They told me yes I asked again once I got there they told me yes once it was time to put the tire on they said they don’t have it they sold it. I need to buy a new one. It went from $60 to 130 then they told me I need it my rim bent also I couldn’t find my key lock so they told me they can take it off for me. I agree with them telling me I can use the lock again after not being able to put a tire on because I refuse to buy a new one for 130 expecting to only pay $60 he told me I cannot use my lock and allow me to drive off with only three working lugs. This place is a rip off they are liars and very unprofessional, and only thing they was worried about was me giving them their receipt back to prove they didn’t do the work

I wish I could give 0 stars. I bought a set of brand new tires had them mounted and balanced no problem. Not even 90 days later one tire leaks, take it back there's a pin whole on the wall of the tire. I'm told NEW tires don't come with a warranty (even though the lady at the desk said I get a manufacturer warranty) now they want me to pay $125 for another new tire. Had i bumped the curb or something I'd understand it being my fault but nothing like that happened. Never again will I come here.

I received a call from my son while he was there having custom rims installed on one of the classic vehicles that we have restored. The owner spoke with my son about having an engine installed in a classic vehicle that he was trying to restore. My son called me (I am in Rochester, Mi) and says that the owner of Universal Tires wanted to meet with me about it, and the owners statement was this, "I would only have to put the engine in the car " I told the owner that I would meet him there after I finish preparing my dinner (I am a transplant patient). The drive had taken an hour. After getting there and the receptionist was walking around the property on her cellphone (I overheard the personal call) not concerned with me walking around looking for the owner (I was dressed in my professional service uniform). After five minutes or so, she looks at me and ask me what do I want, while still engaged in her personal call. I briefly explained to her why I was there, and her response was, "He is next door, he will be here soon." I walked around and waited another ten minutes while the unlicensed and unlearned mechanics were trying to figure out how to do a job on a vehicle. The owner finally shows up and tell me to follow him to look at the engine that was going to be installed in the vehicle. The engine was on a stand, completely broken down, and the parts were all over an old bench style care seat. The owner wanted me to put the engine back together and put it in the car for what amounted to pennies. Within my gift of discernment and the analytical nature of my character, I found the owner to be a liar, a cheat, and of an avaricious nature. Cheating his customers with exorbitant prices and refusing to pay a decent wage for the services that he requires.

9/30/2022 @ universal thinking it would be a match made in heaven it was not. 10/16/2022 before universal opened I was there to inform them do not do any additional work only work already paid for. I was told on Monday they had dropped the tank some of the work staff are habitual @ not telling the truth. I Said to front office you have cameras therfore it will show me there on monday if they dropped the tank after I left. Also if I bought all my own parts it would have saved me over $600.00 + . We've contacted BBB and additional state regulations concerning this unforseen situation. Universal said needed gastank because of leak it's @ shop to check if that was the case. Bought 4 new tires what's wrong with this picture from Universal this nightmare doesn't end. Gas tank pressure checked passed pressure test didn't need gas tank replaced. Nightmare that keeps on giving or shall I say taking.. Bought 4 new Goodyear real tires 11-29-22 with warranty, returned universal tires told to take them with me I left them. Also when I suggested universal look @ their cameras because I stated do not do anymore work on my car and they did it anyway I was told in a very loud alpha male voice I don't have to prove anything to you that's when I said not doing this I disconnected the call without a goodbye., Leak around the filler neck .

I had a very disappointing experience at this car shop. Their prices are unreasonably high, and they installed low-quality aftermarket parts that caused my car to break down again within just a few days. I would not recommend their services.

👎👎👎 Horrible experience And This review is from my experience with UNIVERSAL TIRES AND RIMS DETROIT. First they broken my environment control motor, second as you can see in the picture this is how they repair my muffler that they charged my $400 meanwhile the muffler weight put pressure on vehicle front drive shaft and rips it off NOT recommend and unprofessional 👎👎👎

I went there because my work van was shaking when driving. They told me I needed two tires at the front for $300. Upon agreeing, they came back to convince me I needed better tires for $350. They installed the tires, and the van is still doing the same thing. I went back in 30 minutes, and they claimed It was a faulty control arm. I asked them to reinstall my old tires since that was not the problem. They refused and wanted to fight. I paid them with cash app, which means I can't even call to dispute the transaction.
