Purchased an engine for a car in our shop and they sent us the wrong engine and refuse to do anything about it. Response. We clearly stated that this was for a 1966 Bronco restoration and we were sent an earlier Falcon motor. This is not a modified vehicle and having to re-drill holes in a bellhousing because a so called "Engine Shop" doesn't know one engine from another is asinine and not common practice among reputable shops. After reading more of your reviews we should have known better.

Took my Blue 2006 Ford Mustang for an engine rebuild ($1,900) and then just a few months later my timing chain busted on the freeway driving normal speed. So I took it back to them as they have a six (6) month warranty program and they told me it would cost another $800.... Please be aware of their false advertising gimmicks of "saving time" and "re-manufactured engines" but this place is far from it. They have wasted my time, money, and energy. Thankfully, I have my receipt and paperwork so I will also be filling a complaint with the BBB and other respective agencies as nobody else should ever encounter a scam like this.

This is more than a parts store like auto zone. For one thing, they rebuild engines as a machine shop does. They have been here for 45 years. Joe was very professional. I read some of the reviews and I believe the reviewers mistook knowledgeableness for rudenesses. I’m very happy I stopped by after all these years. I highly recommend this for the pros that are looking for a top notch automotive parts and engine dealer.

I highly recommend this place for any of ur rebuild needs, Wendy was awesome from start to finish, I'm in Albuquerque NM and had zero issues with communication, she kept me informed every step of the way, they picked up my motor within 5 days had it fully rebuilt and painted in 5 weeks, and shipped out when and as promised. Great job to everyone involved I appreciate you helping me get my 1939 chevy master deluxe back on the road 👍

Outstanding service! I found them on a web search. When I called, they had all the answers to my concerns and was very detailed orientated. Incredible knowledge of these engines for my Advanced Design 1947 Pickup! Lucinda was there every step of the way and kept me updated on the progress. I couldn't be happier with VAPE!

Very responsive and friendly people. Wendy, over the phone and Lucinda behind the computer, were always willing to communicate my inquiries to the shop where Joe was very helpful and knowledgeable as well. They always backed their comments and consulting up with clear HD pictures of the engine in question. It’s great to get that kind of documentation too for your own records. Hopefully they use quality parts, only time will tell but their pricing is very reasonable. I only wish they could back their warranties with a few more miles. Maybe they could offer ‘extended warranties’ with labor cost included at an additional premium, say..around $250-$500 more for up to 36 months or so? :). Did I mention that they can hook you up with great shipping rates as well? Great people, great service, great prices! No ‘hanky panky’ here. Bring them your business, you’ll be pleased.

These people put the wrong head onto my engine, which they eventually fixed, but both timing chains snapped about a month later. Huh? What? Incompetence? Spite? Either way, I should have anything other than to go with VAPE engines.

They “rebuilt” an AMC 195.6 engine and it’s trash. Within 100 miles it’s no good. Metal in the pan and trashed bearings. Stay far away from this place is my recommendation.
