Transmission work is never something anybody wants to have to have done, it is also something that is expensive no matter where you go, however buy once cry once, if your going to spend any money on transmission work it might as well be here so it gets done right the first time. As a note, Dave is a very trustworthy guy who is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and honest, he will take care of you and your prized possession. I rarely recommend shops but Van Linn's is a place I would feel confident sending anybody.

I brought my jeep in for leaking transmission fluid. After further diagnostics it eventually resulted in replacing my engine. The repair involved a battle with my warranty company to get the repair covered. It was successful! Andrew kept me informed every step of the way and answered all of my naive questions with patience. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone.

I went here for transmission repair and had a fairly good experience. 3 months later my transmission ran out of fluid so I had it towed to Van Linn's in hopes of another good experience. Then the real nightmare began. First they broke my ignition cylinder. Then charged me 500 to fix it. Then my electrical for my emf coincidentally stopped working and the wiring was in the same compartment of the wiring for the ignition. They offered to fix it for me for 900 though. They told me that I had a bad wheel bearing and that was true but they put a new one in the wrong side and wrote that I had noisy tires on the receipt. This turned out to be untrue as well because I brought the car to tires plus and gave them opportunity to sell me new tires. They took them off the car and balanced them and checked them and not only were they good but I had over 70% tread left. I found out later that the wheel bearing they said they replaced was from the factory. The reason that I had the car towed there in the first place was the transmission. It was simply out of fluid. They charged me 350 to add fluid and fix the leaks. So I paid my bill and left with a car that now had no heat control in the dead of winter. Four days after getting my car back it started smoking after I started it up. I knew right away that it was the valve housing unit because it happend around 6 month earlier. The good news was it was warrantied because I had Broadway Chevrolet fix it. I had it towed there and they installed a new unit. At that time they informed me of a slow transmission leak. They said it would take a couple months to run out. Anyway this was my experience so buyer beware. They are nice guys but this very well could happen to you.

Highly recommend Van Linn. They rebuilt a transmission on an older car over 10 years ago & did an excellent job. Recently bought a 1971 Olds Cutlass. I would trust hardly anyone to touch this car. 51 years old & perfect. Dave & Andrew checked it out & performed several basic services to bring it up to a good operating standard. Patient & took excellent care of a classic car. It will be going back in the future, for additional service work.

The people at Fulton's/Van Linn's are professional and friendly. My step dad has been bringing his cars there for years and highly recommends them. When I moved here, I started doing the same. The prices are competitive and the work is quality!

This is a great place to take your vehicle. They're honest & upfront (as a female who knows cars, I appreciate this greatly; I'm used to having repair shops try to fleece me). Reasonable prices & quality work. Definitely recommend!

My check engine light came on and my car was idling roughly so I brought it into Van Linn’s to get checked out along with an oil change. I had an extended warranty on my car and they said they will work with my warranty company to cover the cost of the repair (needed a new intake manifold and valve). Low and behold my warranty company said my warranty is now invalid. So while I’m dealing with that because I know I had another year and 20,000 miles covered from time of purchase, the great guys down at Van Linn’s took care of my car. They were patient while we figured out my warranty issues. They Called many times to try and file a claim when it was promised to be worked out. They kept working hard for me and took care of my car- even housed it over the weekend. Once they got the go ahead to fix the issues from the warranty company, my car was back to me very quickly! The service I receive here is unmatched. Thank you all at Van Linn’s for your excellent customer and vehicle service! I appreciate all you did for me during this debacle!

I usually try to do all my repairs myself but with it being winter I chose to have the work done by Van Linn's. This was the first time I have ever brought my vehicle in to be fixed. I found Van Linn's cared about my vehicle as much as I did and felt that they were the best to fix it. Considering how it was the beginning of winter and every mechanic was busy it was a relatively short wait for me to get the work done considering the time of year. All the employees are very knowledgeable about the work they were performing. Everyone was easy to talk to and explained the work very well. The inside of the building is clean. The prices are very competitive and I would recommend everyone to go here.

If you're looking for an honest, reliable, and good shop, then Van Linns is the place. Long story. Took my car to another shop for a Trans leak. The other shop was supposed to do a few things to diagnose the issue, and either they didn't or they were trying to get some money out of me. I was told I needed a whole new transmission. I just bought this car. 6,000$ car, and they wanted me to drop 5,300$ for a new transmission. This was extremelyupsettingto hear. I hadn't had the car for even a week. I even contacted the person I bought the car from and was upset at them for selling me a junk car. I brought it to Van Linns. Best decision ever. They are WOUNDERFUL! They now have a lifetime customer. Dropped my car off over the weekend. They got it in Tuesday, Dave called me, he explained every single thing to me. He made sure I understood everything that needed to be done and why. He called to make sure I knew that my rims were painted, and removing the tire to patch the hole might mess it up. Totally fine with me. Last thing I was worried about. He made sure I was aware that I need a specific "key" to remove my tires. He told me he didn't want me to end up with a flat and not have that piece I needed. My car was ready Thursday, and It wound up just needing a new bushing and some seals. The first shop I brought it to was trying to screw me over and had me devastated and feeling like an idiot for buying a car with a bad transmission. Van Linns did a few other things, and I wound up only having to pay a little over 900$ to fix it. When he told me that, I started crying. I was so happy. Thank you Dave! I know this car is going to need a few more things done in the near future, I will be going back to Van Linns.

I had transmission issues with my truck and Dave could not have been more professional from the initial call to the photos sent to the explanation of his findings. Then Dave gave an explanation in terms i could understand related to the cost associated. The price given was in line and actually less than a GM Dealer gave me as a budget price. As much as we all dislike putting money into our vehicles, I could not be happier how this major repair has been handled thus far. Repair is in the works and I have all the confidence it will be done as promised. Thanks Dave and the team at Van Linn's.

I wish I could give it 5 stars as the customer service, communication and the repair itself was great. However my car needed transmission cooler lines replaced and I was told the cost will be higher because they have to remove my front bumper. Fair enough no issues there. However I had a specific part popped out of place on my front bumper before bringing it in and it was still popped out when I picked it up. That tells me they either A)went out of their way to purposely pop that little piece of the front bumper out of place again in the SAME EXACT spot or B) they never actually needed to remove the front bumper and I got charged for it anyways. I'm going with the latter. Disappointing end to a otherwise great experience

Took my Toyota FJ to a shop near me because the auto shifter had some extra play in it. Was called back and told it was the transmission and was quoted $5900 for a used and $7500 for new. They said they weren't sure until they got in there? That was a red flag that they never opened it up to check it out. I also had driven a vehicle where the transmission went out and I couldn't go above 45 mph and the FJ was able to be drive at low and hwy speeds without issue. I told them I didn't want gheir repair and went looking for a second opinion. I took it to Van Linns and was working with Dave. Dave agreed it was suspicious and looked into my shifter issue. He found the shifter assembly needed replacement and a transmission temp harness needed replacement. All in all $1500. Dave even explained the printouts that showed how the temp sensor worked. It was a relief to work with such a friendly honest shop. I highly recommend them.

I brought my truck to Van Linn's for a major repair. I cannot say enough great things about their staff, in particular Andrew Schneidewend. Andrew worked with my insurance company to see the repair was covered properly and timely. Upon picking up my truck, I was given detailed instructions regarding a follow up inspection on the repairs that was required. My truck ran like new and I cannot tell any difference from before the repair, to present day. The inspection was fine and proved that they got it right the first time. I have used Van Linn's in the past for minor repairs and I knew they could handle this repair, and they exceeded expectations. Thank you, Andrew for your hard work and most excellent service! And Dave, he is a really nice guy too!

What a helpful and knowledgeable group of employees! I was looking for a very specific part that nobody else had and they were super helpful in getting me my part at a great price. If I didn’t have my own repair shop, I would bring my vehicles here!! Thanks Scott!

I first called another company who wasn't the most professional on the phone. I quickly did a Google review search on the best transmission shop in my area and saw Can Linn's transmission. As soon as I called Van Linn's with my issues I immediately was put on the phone with Dave "the owner". Dave was super kind and was all about trying to get my transmission fixed. Once Dave diagnosed the many problems in my transmission he called me to verify I wanted him to go through with the repairs. I of course went through with the repairs as I was feeling very optimistic about this place. Dave assured me he would provide me with either pictures or the worn parts he replaced. Sure enough after my transmission was repaired he had all the worn parts sat aside for me to view in person. Where else do you get customer service and the reassurance like this? I feel in this day in age it's hard to find either good customer service or honesty and Dave's shop has it all! And I waited until I got 2,000 miles on my transmission and it shifts perfectly before I left this review. And also another side note all his employees were very professional with me when bringing me in the back to show me my new transmission and all the worn parts. This place is professional, curtious, timely. I would highly suggest Dave and his professionals to help solve any of your issues. Thanks Greg Martin

So im late to leave a review. But several years ago I had the rear end go out on my jeep. I had them fix and replace the rear end. Well it went out not even 4 months later. I felt the entire job should have been fixed for free sence they didint put the rear end back together properly. That was not the case. I had to pay the labor and they covered the part. It cost me over a extra thousand dollers. Stay away

I've been taking my cars here for service for 10 years at least. I have always been treated well and my cars also. Quality service at a reasonable price.
