Bad customer service, mean and unfriendly. Low part quality. Tripled their prices under new management. I changed my exhaust flex connection at this same place under old management 2 years ago. Part is busted and falling apart! Make sure they give you an estimate before they lift your car otherwise you’ll pay a $35 or get stuck with their outrageous prices. Not recommended at all. Not coming back even if I have to pay more elsewhere.

The work that they performed was very good. The issue I had with them was that their credit card machine was broken but they didn't tell you until it was time to pay. So I had to go next door to the ATM to pay to get my money which I didn't like. Had I known that beforehand, I would have gone to my bank or went someplace else.

I came into Velasquez telling them out front what I needed repaired. They call themselves doing an inspection and they found other issues. Keep in mind never mentioning the issue that I came through the door telling them about. Had another professional inspection done and sure enough the issue I was trying to tell them about was surely a problem, and not the extras they decided to focus on with my diagnostic inspection. So had I shelled out the over 1,300 for things that were not in need of immediate repair I still would have ended up having to fix the main issue which I came through the door telling them about to begin with... again which was never brought up after their inspection. Always get a second and third opinion if you're not in dire straits, in other words if your car is drivable take it around and let more than one garage take a serious look. Thumbs down to Velasquez Auto based on the diagnostic inspection they gave me.

Took my 2008 Dodge grand caravan in because it was loud found out a pipe was the cause. They fixed right their very fast very fare price quick service. They did me right have done business with them before and will again if and when I need them they are always there to help. 😍

I won't be back. Bad prices. They were trying to charge me more for 2 mufflers, than to get my whole exhaust replaced. Ridiculous! On top of that, they only take cash now. It's not like they are in the most safe place. 👎🏿👎🏿

My review is also with the high price they charge. I called to make an appointment to get my spark plugs changed since the dealer was booked for days and were due after 50k. I was told first come first serve. Getting there I was given an estimate of $671 to change all 6 crazy. The dealer is charging me $260 parts and labor. Decided to wait a couple days on the dealer. Those that are reading we do want quality work but at a fair price. Buyer please do call around see what other shops charge before coming here.

I was taken care of right away by the nice, professional receptionist. The gentleman who was in the reception area was nice as well, he lead me to my car where the mechanic showed me and explained everything to me in detail and was nice enough to accept the facetime to explain it to my husband who was at work!. I thought that was aweso.e and they said it would be an hour or so, but I got my truck back in less, it was like 30-40 minutes. Being that i had Chemotherapy that day and felt so sick, they parked my truck close to the front door, I appreciate that so much. I know they could tell i wasn't feeling well. Please note, my review is more to do with the pricing than the service or work done by the shop. I called for an estimate for service. They were able to take my vehicle the same day, this was not requested but nice incase you are pressed for time. The issue was the pricing, they were only 10% cheaper than the dealership. I was not offered price options as with other shops, that varied by the warranty and price of the part needed to be replaced. However, I've dealt with this shop in the past and they have done quality work and honored warranty when issues have occurred without any hesitation. So my review is neutral. Good service, quality work but can be pricey.

We had an emergency flat tire nearby and managed to put the temporary tire on but had 100 miles to get home. We stopped at Velasquez and the staff immediately fixed the flat for a very reasonable price. The staff could not have been better. Highly recommend this franchise.

Cashier was extremely polite and nice! Needed pretty much my whole brake system replaced and they did it in 3 hours while I waited and at a pretty great price as well! Also had great music playing in the back and they actually show you what the problem is with your car and explaining everything to you. Definitely will be using this as my go to shop in the future!!

alternator broke literally two blocks away. not only were they open on July 5th when many places were closed, they came and jumped my car so I could drive in and save money on a tow, and were able to get the part and replace it with my battery in under two hours. very nice and helpful, almost wish I lived closer so I could use them for regular repairs(I have a Subaru so not an uncommon event lol)

They checked my suspension/ran a diagnosis. They are the only place I trust to take my vehicle for repairs. They give you an itemized list of what the problems are & a plan to repair the problems according to your budget. They don’t rip you off like other places. They tell you exactly what is needed & explain it all to you. I’ve been using them for close to 10 years. Always satisfied with their friendly & knowledgeable service.

My car was towed there and I was not notified that it had arrived, which is okay I can deal with that. I called them continually on a Thursday and I was getting no answers, so I decided to drive there after work because their hours said they were open until 6. Got there and there was as a handwritten sign saying “Closed at 4 sorry”. Once I got a hold of them they were very helpful. That is until they told me my car was ready. So I went to pick it up and they told me “We still have to do the tire alignment”. This was at 5:30, they closed at 6. They suggested that “it’s drivable” and to bring it back the next day. Brought it back the next day and they finished the work. Communication was very poor.

My engine splash shield flap became loose, and I had to head out of town on Saturday afternoon 2/17. I had no idea how serious of a problem it could be, so I was going to go to Firestone until I saw this place on the way and figured I'd go to a local place. Not only were they open at 2pm on a Saturday, but they got me in so quick and could not have been nicer. It was maybe 10-15 minutes there. Luis and Miguel were incredible and I am so grateful. They tightened it up and didn't overcharge me for anything. It is about 20 minutes from where I live, but for as long as I'm in Milwaukee, I will not go anywhere else! thank you guys.

I normally don’t write reviews but many of the past ones don’t do the garage justice as it should. I’ve came to this locations a handful of times and have always experienced nothing but great reliable service . I will say prices can be a bit high but considering they get any and all jobs done within 2-3 hours the price is worth it . Consider it more of a connivence fee and not just a garage trying to get back money. The manager / mechanic was very knowledgeable as well as showed me everything he was going to work on , and answered any questions I had about the work. And best of all it’s located right in the heart of the south side so not too much traveling was needed . I will always recommend this shop for quick repairs and great prices . Definitely will come back for any other repairs ! Side note: they have recently changed the name to Velocity but service is still 10/10

Dont go here, came here to get some muffer work done only for them to do major damage our cars engine exhaust system, now we're in the middle of a 5k lawsuit, they have people working there that know nothing about cars, and their parts are from pick and pull junkyards or stolen
