I have NEVER bought a brand new car in my life. Royal was wonderful. It started out through texting and just asking questions about a used car on their lot, but he actually pointed out that with some specials they were running, I would either save money or pay the same, but get a BRAND new vehicle. He was very patient with my 9 million questions, and after we drove 2.5 hours to get there, he had everything ready to go. Quick test drive, all paperwork was completed online and through emails, and so I was able to get everything taken care of very quickly. Highly recommend Waco Hyundai, and ask for Royal. First, I’d like to start with that. My daughter went to another Hyundai dealership and they treated her so horrible. All they cared about was making money even trying to take advantage of a 19 year-old soldier. They had her crying because they were trying to take advantage of her. It was the very first time that she was purchasing a vehicle.. But we ended up finding this dealership and let me tell you 100% they treated her so amazing so respectful caring they made it so easy for her to purchase the car. They are ran by veterans so they understand how to support military. It didn’t take long for my daughter to get all her financing and all her paperwork done thanks to this dealership. I’m so grateful for the experience that they provided for my daughter. My daughter left with a huge smile on her face. The service technician met me at my car and then checked me in at the desk. He showed me to the waiting room and told me where the restroom was as well as showing me the coffee station. While I was waiting I got a text with a video showing me all the things he was checking on my car and recommended replacing the cabin air filter. On the video I could see that it needed replacing. He came into the waiting room and confirmed that the filter was included in the service. When he was done he came to the waiting room and walked me out for paperwork and then to my car. Great personalized service.

From start to finish was not a good experience especially on the customer service side of things. Our salesperson, Antonio, never stood up when we walked in or even when we got to his desk. We drove over an hour to get there for our appointment to see a specific vehicle and after talking for about 20 minutes, the vehicle had sold. That part was fine, but mind you he had already been speaking with my husband through phone call, text messages, and he recorded the inside of the vehicle, and when we get there he seemed as if he didn't speak to him at all prior. He kept trying to get us in a newer vehicle or higher mileage and over the price range of everything that we had already spoke about. We were not looking to finance and he knew this, and yes he kept pushing for what our monthly payment was. I finally made the statement to him that their finance company would not even have our information before we got the vehicle paid off. I called and spoke to the sales manager who was more understanding and will be addressing the concerns and experience that we had. I am very big on customer service, and so when I am the customer, I have high expectations. This Antonio guy didn't seem to want to make a deal of any kind knowing that we weren't financing. He didn't want us to go anywhere else but yet, he had no recollection of what the customer stated. Make notes of specifics if you talk to that many people, take pride in what you do, especially when you're trying to make a sale. Due to the poor customer service that was received, we won't be back to that dealership, and we had a great experience the last time we were there and purchased a car which is why we went back.

They even went to the length of shooting me a video while they were working on my car to let me know the different points that they were checking on verifying that they topped off all my fluids. Alex was so very helpful he went above and beyond for me and made my experience worth my while. I was dreading buying a vehicle cause I always get the run around and I go there for hours and then they say we cant help me but not Alex he listened to my situation and my budget and went from there and made what I thought was going to be a nightmare a very pleasant experience.. Aaron also helped me and made sure my car was detailed and sat with me the whole time to make sure I knew what everything with my car was explained.. There was another gentleman that I signed paperwork with and I'm sorry I forgot his name but he was nothing short of amazing.. October 2025, my wife and I decided to try a Santa Fe, tried to test drive one but it wouldn't start. The salesman mentioned that mice had been getting into some of their vehicles and would get that one checked out. We tried another vehicle and it worked fine. I checked the engine compartment and saw no damage so we put in an price offer but were rejected. A few days later, the sales manager contacts us about another Santa Fe within at our price point, so we decide to look at it. It was the same one we originally tried to drive that wouldn't start. I ask the salesman if the vehicle had been run through Service as it is "Hyundai Certified", and he assures me it only needed a battery. If starts immediately so we think nothing of it and we go through with the purchase. A month and a half after we buy it, we notice one of the daytime running lights is sporadic so we take to Service when we get a chance as it has only 6,000 miles on it and full warranty. When I drop it off, the Service worker immediately say they do not cover rodent damage. I tell them their sales guy mentioned mice to my wife and I and they should talk to him, he conveniently had no memory of the conversation. They deny the warranty claim stating it happened off site. I have lived at the same address over 20 years and had 8 different vehicles and never had any problems with mice. The Service Manager states that the light harness and several other electrical components are damaged and our total repair bill is $7,000. I contact our insurance and they send out an adjuster to approve the repair. He contacts me and states that they are approving repairs of $2,000, as that is all that showed rodent damage. I ask what about the additions $5,000 and he stated that the wiring harness for the light was a warranty repair and the dealership acquiesced. If I hadn't involved the insurance, this dealership would have overcharged me $5,000 so they would not have to cover a warranty repair. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new vehicle. Their sales and service departments were both dishonest with me to the point of fraudulent behavior. If anyone does decide to buy from here, take the vehicle to a trusted mechanics shop and have them thoroughly inspect the vehicle. Do not trust "Hyundai Certified"

One star. My wife took our daughter's 2023 Hyundai Kona (with very low miles), to Hyundai of Waco on November 18th for a standard oil change ($98) on a car with zero issues. Two days later, the engine warning light came on for low oil. My wife and daughter had to pull over immediately at an AutoZone, where the employee confirmed the dipstick was “bone dry.” It took 2 full quarts of oil—nearly half the car's capacity—just to get it back to a safe level. Despite having receipts for the oil purchased at AutoZone and records from AAA and an independent mechanic confirming there are zero leaks and no oil stains where the car was parked, Hyundai of Waco refused to accept responsibility. I even spoke with Dave, who sent a video of the service that proved nothing other than the fact that they touched the car but did not confirm quantity of oil. The only logical explanation for a leak-free car being 2 quarts low immediately after service is that they failed to fill it properly. This negligence caused massive frustration, forced us to change Thanksgiving flights to return early, and cost us additional money for inspections just to ensure the engine wasn't permanently damaged. When I called to resolve this on December 1st, their response was to offer a "free oil change." That is an insulting and tone-deaf solution after risking my daughter's safety and the integrity of a new vehicle's engine... I expected a refund and apology but instead was simply dismissed. Do not trust this service department.

I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. When checking in I asked for any software updates that might be available for my vehicle. They did everything and also fixed a recall on the safety belt enclosures. The routine review of systems showed a very dirty cabin air filter which was replaced.
