Went in to buy case of water, body wash and salt and pepper. All employees standing around talking while there were at least 30 plus people in two lines and 1 line was self checkout. After waiting 25 minutes still in line and left my basket told the girl at the cashier's post if they don't start opening the checkouts people will start using grocers who do care about their business. For this customer I'll never set foot in another Walmart store in my entire life again. I left went to Hy-Vee was in and out in 20 minutes. Save yourself time and trouble go to Aldi's or Kroger's or my favorite Hy-Vee market

A register person didn't know what stamps were. He said, what kind of stamps? I said, postage stamps. He said he didn't know what they were. I said, you know, you put it on an envelope to mail something. He said no, he didn't have anything like that. 16, 17, 18 year old doesn't know what a s5amp is? SAD. Management didn't care. When I told them about the kid, they looked at me like I'm an idiot.

Definitely a feeling of not being safe There are security guards driving up and down the parking lot and inside the store. Also there's some type of security system in the parking lot on trailers that flash blue light like a police vehicle... I do not recommend this Walmart.

It's a Walmart. Stock and prices are what one can expect. Stock is adequate, and prices are lower than those in most stores. Of course, quality and selection are also lower, as one must expect from Walmart.

Stopped in to get some sports cards, and got yelled at by a clerk because they’re supposed to have barricades around the cards. Well I didn’t come in knowing what to get and I wanted to look before purchasing but apparently that’s not an option at this location. Either make it available for customers to be able to look at or don’t have them at all. Terrible location, the only one in town that operates this way.

I'm at the self checkout and I felt like I was doing something wrong, does everyone commits theft? These employees sole function is to give everyone a look that is really uncomfortable, like you're about to steal something Shame on Walmart to think everyone is there to steal when some of the employees are the biggest thieves and blame it on the customers

The employees are ALWAYS on their personal cell phones and are never paying attention, when you have a question they get an attitude. Definitely only shop here when I ABSOLUTELY have no other choice. Sad really.

If you like going to a Walmart needing a security guard, go here. If you like that security guard to be smoking cigs in the entrance of the store, go here. If you like cashiers to ignore and dismiss you, go here. One bonus star as customer service is decent the handful of times there.

Seems like half the store is more focused on wearing inflatables and filming than getting the money center and customer service registers fixed, when asked they just said they're down, and asked if they know if it will be fixed today? The employee while holding a drink and snacks simply replied nope, would recommend

The apparel and home decor sections are great. Probably one-third of the entire store is dedicated to clothing items. So if you’re shopping for clothes, this location would be the best option. I understand Walmart is not the best place for buying clothes but some of their products offer very good value, e.g., $5 plain tee shirts. Home decor and appliance collection are also pretty good. Photo services are usually pretty fast. No fresh produce available at this location. They have frozen and refrigerated food. So if you are grocery shopping, the Walmart on Allen Road would probably be better. There’s a Subway inside the store.

How do you run out of snow shovels @ 9:30 in the morning on the first day of snow ? It’s not like they have a whole year to prepare for it and that it snows every single year. In a small city like Peoria they can easily predict demand. What a fail from a mega corporation like Walmart. Whoever is responsible for inventory management at this location should be fired. Went there two days in a row not a single snow shovel was available This was the second Walmart I went to in Peoria and the same deal.

I bought Christmas tree lights on the 23rd. Inside the box were someone’s old broken lights. They obviously put them back on the shelf without looking. I had my receipt and explained what happened to customer service, but they told me there is nothing they can do because it’s a Christmas item. Sure, but they literally sold me a box of trash. I left and did my shopping elsewhere. I won’t take that chance again.

Just awful in every way. I've been waiting in the customer service line for 22 minutes. Their computer froze and people have been waiting so long, they are leaving the store. The sweet older woman behind the counter can't help anyone. She called the manager and this lady comes up and makes a phone call and says we all just have to wait for everything to reset. This line is out the door at this point. The older lady opened the other register . The manager just walked away and didn't assist this woman with this crazy line full of pissed off people. This place is a NIGHTMARE... DON'T COME HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS..... and you know corporate doesn't care. Not about their customers and not about their employees . I feel so bad for this poor lady behind the counter. They have staff to follow you around the store but not to actually help anyone

I never get an urge to go to Walmart even if they do sell everything from tampons to tires so if I have to go to Walmart I like to keep it as quaint and quick which is exactly what I get from Walmart on University in Peoria. Not only that the management team here is not stuck in some office that no one knows about, they are out there on the front lines making your visit just as quaint and quick as you thought it would be. My hat is off to this group. No waiting in line, no looking for an associate, no wonder everyone here is smiling they know they have a good product that the other Walmart stores just can't seem to find. Good Job to everyone that is out there on the front lines making it happen everyday.
