I was waiting in line at Automotive. I was next in line and the cashier allowed a customer that walked in to go before me. The cashier was very unprofessional. I called for management on my phone and he came to the back and made sure I was taken care of. The manager asked another automotive technician to take care of me by exchanging my battery. I noticed on my receipt that I cannot return the battery if something happens to it. Terrible experience. Poor customer service!

The auto service was great but the representative that checked me in was very unfriendly she seemed like she didn’t want to be there and didn’t smile..It seemed as if the customers were annoying her and getting on her nerves.I will use the auto center again just at a different location. This was my first time using the service and I wasn’t happy with the the representatives attitude. If she didn’t want to be there then maybe walmart she place her in a different department.

Been on hold for 30+ minutes; had to call 5 times and no one answered in automotive, the automated service sucks. After a while, someone answers, I start to ask question, I got switched to customer service. Walmart called me back, James hung up on me while I was asking about a battery. I called back 3 more times, got transferred 2 times, got transferred back to James, he said he didn't hang up on me until my question refreshed his memory to 10 minutes previous - James NoLastName did not know how to work the computer, yet he said he is the manager. This is the last time this Walmart will work on my vehicles and the last time I set foot in this location. Now I know why the reviews are so horrific, they represent ignorance and Incompetence!!

This was a return visit to make another tire purchase. However, I walked in around 8am. Doors open for service at 7am. I ask how long the wait (1.5 or 2hrs)? I was not clearly verbally communicated with a time (just a shrug of the shoulders). Therefore in every interaction in customer service. Is a lesson to learn regarding time. There is the online booking for appt's. Also, The clerk was efficient just limited in clarity. However, the staff was inadequate in the shop repair. Which is respected of a longer wait time. So if you're a walk in for car service. The wait time could surpass a reasonable time if any anticipated turnaround time if estimating (2 hrs.) For your vehicle.

The cashier lady Delza is extremely rude. She doesn’t answer the customer when they talk to her. We don’t expect 5 star service but we expect communication? Ignoring the customer is highly unprofessional… all she said to me was “keys” then when she was done with me she just asked the person behind how she can help. Really off putting.

I recently visited Walmart Auto Service for a simple car repair, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Despite being told that the service would take a reasonable amount of time, I ended up waiting for **six hours**. When I finally went to check on the progress, I found that the staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than actually working on my car. It was frustrating to see them wasting time instead of attending to the customers who were waiting. Given this experience, I can only give them a one-star review. I do not recommend anyone to use Walmart Auto Service for tire purchases or any other car services. Save your time and take your business elsewhere.

Worst car service ever and customer service!! They don't deserve at least one star from me right now! Yesterday May 29th 2019 I went to the Auto Care Center to get a patch for my tire. Something that I paid almost $50 extra for free patches. They took an hour and a half long to tell me that they could not put a patch on my tire at all. They told me about my sensor that was broken but I never expected it to be inside my tire with other broken metal parts!!! So today May 30th 2019 I woke up and saw my whole tire deflated luckily I had a spare and went to another tire shop. I asked them that they can patch up my tire and they told me yes. While the process of getting my tire patched they found my sensor and the broken metal parts inside the tire. You can tell in the pictures that how they just threw it in there and air up my tire and let me drive my car like that. I live 3.5 miles away from the store within that process of me going home Tire could of popped and caused me to be in a car accident luckily nothing happened. But still this is not acceptable at all!! So if you're reading this please don't ever go there to get your tire replaced or repair!! It really shows how much they care about what they're doing with people's car!!

I had a slow leak in one of the tires (on my Toyota Rav4) that was sent to this Walmart Super Center for repair on Saturday. They had it " repaired " in less than 2 hours. But it was under- inflated which led me to think It was not repaired at all. So I took the vehicle to another Walmart on a Saturday; left it there for most of the day but they put it at lowest priority because I used my Walmart+ membership *for free flat repair), as a result they did not get to it at the end of the day. A couple weeks later, after I wrote a bad review on the Auto center, I found that the tire was no longer leaking. Therefore, I hereby changed my rating from 1 to 4.

Cashier lady is the rudest person you can ever deal with. She doesn’t explain anything about the process and gives face expressions as if she’s not getting paid for the service she’s providing. Service also was so slow while mechanics were chilling and joking around at the front desk

Set the appointment and arrived on time. It didn't take long for my oil change. I'm happy with the process!

It’s cheaper than other places for this type of service so I like that. I’d say schedule an appointment for sure. If you do it as a walk-in, you’re going to be there for at least 2 hours minimum. Also, I asked for them to swap out a quart of oil for a quart of Lucas used for high mileage vehicles. I was asked to purchase the product so it could be used. I did so, when my vehicle was returned, the quart of Lucas was sitting in my front seat untouched. That has happened on several occasions. When I go elsewhere, it gets used.

I waited 2 and a half hours for an oil change just for the incompetent mechanic with half his teeth to tell me that he does not know how to do it so he left it like that. I asked to fill up the air in my tires and not even that he did. When I asked If I waited for nothing he said “yeah” after I left I heard everyone laughing because of that. Horrible service, don’t come here you have to wait a LOOOOT for nothing.

My Everstart Max battery that I bought 6 months ago, was emitting toxic fumes, you could see the discharge on top of the battery. (See photos) I was getting weak and dizzy while driving, so I brought my car in for a warranty exchange on the battery. The associate at the counter called in a service technician after I told her what was happening and he said, it smells like rotten eggs right? I said yes, so he told the associate to book me in. Later, I got a call from a different technician who said my battery was good, but that they could not get my car to start “because the remote in the key battery was dead.” They were obviously lying because my key battery was fine, i explained the car battery is bad and that they were wrong, the problem is the car was not responding to the key. They insisted I needed to replace the battery in my key. Well… I found out they actually blew my battery attempting to recharge it, because I asked them to retest the battery and it showed it needed a replacement. The battery had a higher charge when I brought it in, than when they tested it the second time, which indicated the battery needed replacement. I only chose this location because they showed the battery I needed in stock in the Walmart app. Unfortunately after all the fuss they realized the battery was not in stock. When I involved the store manager I told him the website showed it in stock and he said “you can’t trust the website it’s always wrong”. I said you can’t say that sir because that is a valid complaint to your corporate office. He got very defensive and even defended his employees, while showing no regard for me as a customer. Essentially, I thought I was stranded at this point, but they put in a cheaper battery than the one I purchased, and reduced my 4 year warranty to a 2 year. I have kept the battery test results to prove that they completely blew the battery after I explained the situation. Will upload photos, I do not recommend this location. How as a mechanic do you not realize when a battery is dead?! And what’s crazy is I had more power in the battery when I brought it in, than after they charged it and blew it! The only other thing is now I have to go to the doctor for exposure to sulfur dioxide. This is actually the second warranty replacement I’ve had to go through because the battery was emitting toxic fumes of sulfur dioxide. They tried to take advantage of me because they thought that perhaps I was disoriented from inhaling the fumes! (Will be uploading battery test photos soon )

The slowest service you will ever receive. I scheduled an appointment at 9:30am and still had to wait up to three hours to get my car back, and it was a two tire change! Never again will I go to this location, they have no sense of urgency and it’s ridiculous. Adamant on keeping you here all day!

I had an appointment scheduled for 3:30 PM and arrived on time. After placing my car in the queue for an oil change, I was told half an hour later that they didn’t have the required filters. Without even asking me, they cancelled my appointment. They told me that if I brought the filters myself, they would complete the oil change. So I went out of my way to purchase the filters and came back—only to be told that my appointment had already been cancelled and I would now have to walk in and wait for over two and a half hours. This was extremely frustrating and a complete waste of my time. If they had told me upfront, I would have gone to another service center instead of running around to get the filters. On top of that, the staff at the counter was very rude, which made the whole experience even worse. Overall, very poor customer service and communication. Appointments should be honored, and customers should be informed clearly before wasting their time.

Being nice is free. Had a kitten stuck in the under carriage of my car. Asked if they could put my car on the lift and take the cat out. An older Black lady told me no and to go to the fire department. I went to Texas Cars as they have done previous work on my car. In 5 minutes, they put the car on the lift and took the cat out. Like I said, being nice is free. I see why Walmart has 2.7 out of 5 stars.

Came for a tire patch. A TIRE PATCH. Took 2 hours. And I was before quite a few people and still had to wait. Don't get me wrong prices are great. But the lack of time management for services is ridiculous. One employee got upset at others because of how long it took to even patch a tire. Should've bought myself a patch kit and just had them air it up for me instead.

Worst auto center experience ever. The first time I came in was to get a flat tire fixed. I arrived at 7:30 AM and still waited 4 hours, only to watch customers who came after me get serviced first. Completely unfair. I asked one counter staff for an update because taking awhile already.. guess what she told me.. “I don’t know”. Crazy I gave it another chance and came back to get all my tires replaced. I arrived at 7:00 AM to be first in line and waited outside until about 7:20 AM because the doors were still closed. When they finally opened, I was told they weren’t doing tires today. For whatever reason I don’t know. If you don’t want your day ruined, stay far away from this place. Not worth it

Worst auto experience of my life. Came in for a dead battery. Let them know that the battery was DEAD dead and if I brought them in the keys they’d have to jump it again or push it to the bay. They insist they want the keys now instead of pulling it to the empty bay. After half an hour of twiddling their thumbs someone comes out to try and start it and is shocked it won’t turn over. Then another guy with a jump pack. Then a third guy with another jump pack who realizes you have to push the clutch to start a manual. They finally get it jumped and in the bay. After an hour I get a text that it’s done. Turns out it’s not done, someone canceled the ticket and they’re still “working on it”. They can’t figure out how to reopen it to get the computer to send me updates. Another 20 minutes pass with no update so I walk over to check on it and it’s been sitting there finished because the lady running the counter that’s been working there a decade doesn’t know how their system works or what keys go with what worksheets or with what bags. $120 and almost two hours later we’re finally back on the road. It’s like if someone took the three stooges and sucked out all of the humor. Absolutely infuriating and ridiculous. I should have just let AAA do it and spent the extra $80. Not worth the aggravation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review for Matt Gutierrez — Walmart Auto Care Center (Montfort) I want to recognize Matt Gutierrez for delivering the kind of service that deserves attention at the highest level of Walmart leadership. At the Auto Care Center on Montfort, Matt consistently demonstrates professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for customers — qualities that elevate the entire store. From the moment you speak with him, it’s clear he takes pride in his work. He communicates clearly, explains what needs to be done without pressure or confusion, and treats every customer with respect. In an industry where many people feel rushed or overlooked, Matt does the opposite: he makes sure you feel informed, valued, and taken care of. What truly sets him apart is his integrity. He doesn’t cut corners, he doesn’t upsell unnecessarily — he focuses on doing the job right. That level of honesty builds trust, and trust is what keeps customers coming back. If the CEO of Walmart is reading this: Matt is exactly the kind of employee who strengthens your brand. He represents Walmart with excellence, and his work ethic reflects the values any company would be proud to stand behind. Walmart needs more people like him — and he deserves to be recognized. THANK YOU MATT! For educating me and my wife about the importance of using only the highest quality oils for our daily drivers.
