The work was done quickly and at a fair price. Sam took the time to call and explain what needed to be done and asked for my okay to do it. Then when I picked up my car the next day he showed me pictures taken during the repair, the broken parts that were replaced, and how everything went together under the hood. Sam made sure I understood what they did and answered all my questions without making me feel like an idiot. They also actually cleaned my car under the hood and inside, looks better than it has in years. I (almost) want something else to not work on my car so I can bring it back to West Coast Auto Repair for them to fix it.

For someone who does not know anything about cars (except for fueling it up), West Coast Auto Repair has been a great boon for my family's modest car fleet. I have been using their services for a decade now and never once felt that I was getting ripped off (big problem with other auto mechanic shops). If there is anything wrong with the car and needs fixing or replacement, Tej or Sam (the owners) would just let me know. Sometimes, they would recommend fixing it but its not urgent. It will run for another few thousand miles and then you can get it fixed during the next tune-up. Which mechanic shop gives you these options? Guys, if you want a reliable auto-mechanic without ever getting the feeling that you are getting ripped-off, go to them. "Awesome" would be little less for classifying their "Excellence". They earned my trust by their hard-work, knowledge and suggestions. This place rocks. Sam the owner and Tej the shop manager are down to Earth no pressure people. They put a new motor in my Volvo 850 including all the fine tuning for an awesome price and my car is working like a champ. Don't waste your time looking for the best deal. Wow, wow, wow. I would totally rate this place 6/5 if possible- absolutely outstanding! I called them in the morning, concerned about my car not starting correctly, and they said that they would see my car the same day, in between their other appointments. They helped get my car working properly again within a couple of hours. They also told me that if it happens to my car again, I can drop it off in the early morning and they will drive me to my work. So friendly and really great service- this is the place to go!

Been going to this repair shop for 8+ years. I'll never go back to getting my vehicles repaired by the dealership. Who know who touched your vehicle that day and never pay that stupid dealership premium $$$?! West Coast Auto Repair in Fremont has a small team and can always refer back to the tech and explain what was seen and why it was repaired. They always keep the damaged / replaced item and show you for your visual inspection. Only go to this shop if you understand the importance of keeping up with your auto maintenance for the longevity of your vehicle. They keep all records for every time you have a repair or maint check up. This is not a cheapy auto shop that wants your money and then never speak to you again. I recently sold one of my vehicles and having all my records pulled up by Sam helped the buyer make a sound decision in purchasing my vehicle in which they happily paid more than the Kelly Blue Book Value.

I have been regular customer of West Coast Auto Repair for about six years now. They have done wonderful job every time and saved me a ton of money. They are very precise in their diagnosis of the issues, discussing various options and resolution in very reasonable price. I had a very smooth experience with Sam on fixing my car which had a coolant line leakage. The part was ordered very quickly within a day and i got my car back by the end of 2nd day. I recently took my BMW to West Coast Auto Repair Shop in Fremont, Ca for some critical repairs, including replacing the water pump, thermostat assembly, and valve cover gaskets. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The team Sam and Tej were professional, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with BMWs. The work was done efficiently, and the quality of the repairs was top-notch as the car runs smoothly, they also gave a 12 month 12K mile warranty on the job, which was very impressive and besides the excellent workmanship, was the reasonable pricing. Tej is very good person and very knowledge, i went over there as i was getting some sort of sound from dashboard and he without checking the car said everything in detail and as we know if we go to mechanic for small problem also they say us to repair even if its not necessary but these guys are not like to that, if its needed to repair they say to us otherwise they give us good opinion. As we know ,now a days we search for good mechanics who don’t fool us and i would say this is the right place with good reviews. As for now i would keep this mechanic for my cars for sure and recommend to others as well, But i am not aware of the prices they charge, i would check it out further.
