Haven't been here in years. But awesome place, and Frank is a good guy. Only problem was MY piece of junk Volkswagen. After taking it in multiple times, each for a different issue, Frank recommended I buy a used or pre-owned Toyota or Honda. I bought a brand new corolla and haven't been to a mechanic in going on 5 years. Normally, a mechanic would just milk customers junk for more money. Not Frank.

My car overheated and I needed help quickly because I was on a work trip. They didn’t have the part, but they dropped what they were doing, triaged the issue, helped me find a place to get it fixed that day and gave me a safe place to wait while I got my car towed. These guys are amazing. Their shop was totally full of vehicles waiting for repair and they stopped what they were working on to be sure I was taken care of and safe. If I ever need car work when I’m in Baltimore I am taking it to them.

Frank is the best!! He replaced the engine on my 2002 Ford Explorer in February 2013 and did a fantastic job! He also replaced the clutch at the same time and, because the clutch on this model is non-standard (thanks a lot, Ford), he had to call a lot of places before he finally found ONE place in California where we got the clutch assembly from. Anyway, as others have said, he keeps you informed every step of the way and always calls to let you know of any charges, etc. and gives you options. Honest, straightforward guy. He just did some additional work for me yesterday and I'm completely satisfied. He stayed open late and actually drove and gave me a ride back to his shop to pick up my car because the cab companies were being complete flakes! Over the past year that I've used Whay's, Frank has been outstanding. For convenience. I made the mistake of going somewhere else for oil changes...never doing that again! Even if it means taking time of from work - this is my mechanic as long as I'm close enough to get to him or until he stops "mechanicing" :)

Awesome business! I was in a jam on my way to work when my check engine light started flashing. Called Whay’s and was told to bring my car in. Dropped it off, handed over the key, and began ordering my Uber for a ride to work. Owners refused to let me get an Uber and offered to drive me to my job. Wow! Just don’t get generosity like that these days. Great service. Good, honest folks. Detailed explanation of diagnostic results and work done. If I had two more hands, I’d give Whay’s four thumbs up!

I have to give full marks to Frank Whay. He successfully diagnosed and FIXED a long standing electrical issue with my 2006 Chevy van. I was at the point of getting rid of the vehicle. Now, I think I will keep it. The crew was skilled, friendly and worked fast. Couldn’t be happier. Will definitely bring my van back to this garage.
