Put a bad engine in my truck then the owner was a total ass and said it wasn't them. They left all kinds of stuff broken and it took 2 months for them to fix it. Highly don't recommend if you want it done right.

Left vehicle broken replaced exhaust pipe didn’t connect to muffler or replace rotted gaskets that were 2 inches away from replaced pipe. Left heat shields unattached. Didn’t fix half the stuff I took it there for said don’t mind the check engine light it’s running fine! Mentioned exhaust sounded loud said not to worry about it because it was older. Well he put an old rusty clamp on it with one bolt. I smelled like a old chainsaw driving it. He replaced plugs and one coil pack. With the way truck ended up running after having it there a week before I couldn’t get it to go faster than 20 miles an hour as all coil packs were trashed. I also had a bad gasket on windshield washer tank that allowed fluid to drain after three days. He said it must have a hole in tank and no part number for tank and if I found one would have to remove fender. Not the case took 20 mins to fix and was a 4.00 part. Can only get ahold of him in morning and end of day. Vehicle sat there 2 days couldn’t get in touch finally did said oh it’s done-ran a code that was it didn’t fix a thing and said guess I should have called you. WTH? Not worth the aggravation and damage to vehicle. Replaced the pipe for inspection but no way did it pass emissions with pipe blowing out exhaust instead of sending it through muffler! Never going back!

Highly don’t recommend!! They lie to your face saying they gave you a sheet with everything needed for inspection but the sheet had nothing on it but a charge for $47 for it not passing inspection. Too many chiefs at this place since new owners it went down hill. First time I went to them since new owners they said only had two things wrong with the car I got those two things fixed as they showed me what was wrong. Take it back and they say you have three more things wrong and we told you they were wrong first time on the slip we gave you which was a lie. They never gave me a slip. Some young mechanic came out to show me the two issues didn’t mention one bit what the other issues were. Very dissatisfied with their poor communication and lack of detail. Save yourself the headache don’t go to this shop. Huge waste of time and money!!

Since new owners they have held my vehicle for weeks if not months on end dealing with a warranty and parts they never called in. Vehicle drives worse now than before it was ever taken there. DO NOT bring your vehicle to this place under any circumstances.

This guy is a scammer, do NOT trust him! His listings are full of lies and guilt trips. Sold my dad a van and told him all it needed was inspection. Well, he let him drive it home knowing it was a danger trap! The frame is cracked and it actually needs well over $1k in parts alone before he can even think about inspecting it. And now the guy won't even respond. Id give zero stars if I could.

I can’t even put into words how amazing Brookeside Automotive is. I was driving home from school on a day where the roads were very slick and ended up hitting a mailbox right across the street from their establishment. I had never been in a situation like this and immediately panicked not knowing what to do and was completely hysterical. A very kind man came over to help me and tried pushing my car out as I was stuck on a curb next to the mailbox, and shortly after others came over to assist. The team from the automotive shop worked together to get my car unstuck and safely drive it over to their shop for me. One of the men even gave me a hug and they all tried to make me feel better about the situation saying that it wasn’t my fault, we are all human, and that the roads get bad, that what’s important is that I’m okay and no one was harmed. I told them that I had just gotten some rust fixed on my car and couldn’t afford any further work done, to which they responded that they wouldn’t charge me. I was completely taken back by their kindness. They took my car in to fix it right then and there and had me come inside to warm up. As I was waiting for my car to be done I called my mom and told her what happened, to my surprise, this was the same establishment that helped my mom, brother, and I out after a collision when we were just kids. She expressed how kind they have been for years and what a blessing they are to Erie. I owe this place a million thank you’s for everything they did for me. What started as one of the most stressful moments of my life, turned into something I will always remember because of the way I was treated.
