I am writing this review a year late, but the service was so terrible I had to share my experience. I went to the shop because I needed a state inspection to buy out of my lease. I have a 2019 Honda civic which has been maintained consistently and reasonably. When I went to pick up my car after inspection, I was shocked to find out that it failed because of ‘excessive corrosion on the battery terminals’. When I asked the mechanic to show me where the corrosion was, he essentially promoted me away and said either pay to get it fixed or go somewhere else. I went somewhere else. I brought the car to another mechanic shocked to see it had failed on the battery terminals. The mechanic stated there was literally zero corrosion and was so shocked he encouraged me to file an appeal and report with the state of Maryland.

Having just moved to the area, I needed to find auto I could trust to do routine maintenance on my vehicle. The service shop at this Sunoco was recommend to my by several people. After my visit this morning I found out why so many people recommend coming here. Ian was my service advisor and was so friendly and helpful as I dropped off my car. Within an hour, the work was done and the mechanic, Oscar, even topped off my fluids and air in my tires. I could not have been more pleased with the experienced that now I too am recommended this Sunoco to others in the area. Special thanks to Ian and Oscar for making my day!

Horrible service. We first brought it in and they said we need a water pump change. They charged high price of $1,000 for water pump change. 1 week later the car wouldn’t run well. We brought it back here and they kept it from Friday to Monday with no call or update. I called On Friday and the rude manager (maybe Pakistan) said that it may be spark plugs and he would call me back. No call on Friday evening, No call on Saturday, closed on Sunday. We finally call on Monday and the same manager (Middle Eastern accent) tells me it’s the engine! I Never even spoke with the actual mechanic. Do not take your car here. They do not care and they just want money.

Recently purchased a used car in Virginia and needed to get a Maryland state inspection. I dropped the car off midday and was met with very friendly staff. The mechanic (I believe it was Edwin?) was very helpful and finished with the inspection much earlier than expected. I immediately received the results summary over email and a call to come pick up the car, and I was able to pick the car up after the mechanic shop was closed but the convenience store was open. It cost $95 which I feel is fair. The overall process was fairly easy and I value that as a first time car owner.

They always do good work, and they stand behind it. If something isn't right they fix it. My husband and I trust them to always be fair, and they will look for the least expensive fix... they never try to upsell or make a more expensive job. Their work is as trustworthy as they are!

Bethesda Auto Repair at the Woodmont Exon was wonderful. I had low tire pressure and while inflating my tire noticed that a nail was lodged in it. They got me right in and got the nail out and the tire back on in 15 minutes. It was a very fair price for the work and I was extremely happy with the work. They helped me so much and quickly. I greatly appreciate it.

Wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. Trying to rip customers off by lying about work that needs to be done. Not the first time I’ve seen this. Hopefully someone shuts these criminals down They are now harassing my wife by sending texts to her from random numbers. Will be calling the police, again. Update multiple other state inspectors to include the state police of Maryland have confirmed my vehicle did not have the problems, the owner claimed it did and my vehicle was passed

Also mostly about the car wash. Conveniently located but lacks an undercarriage rinse and no soft cloth. All cleaning is by jets, which got rid of most of the pollen but some grime remained. I just did express.

Avoid this place at all costs. These guys try to scam my dad. He went there to register a car, paid and told them he’d left his car for 2 hours because he had to take a uber to pick up the car recently registered for my brother. Owner said it was ok. When he came back, there was a boot on his car and the owner told him he had to pay 150$ to get off the boot that HE installed. So dishonest.

Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs I could give 0 star If I could . I recently visited this car inspection place, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The receptionist was incredibly rude when I called to ask if my car was ready . Really condescending behavior . But the real issue was with the owner. He tried to convince me that I needed to pay $1,500 for repairs to pass the inspection, even though my car was in great condition. There’s a 30-day window to fix any issues after a failed inspection, but he threatened to charge me again if I didn't fix the "issues" at his shop. When I called out the owner on his dishonesty, he completely lost it—started yelling and acting like he'd never been accused of such a thing before. After reading other reviews, it’s clear dishonesty is a common problem here. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere trustworthy.

Highly recommend this place, they have knowledgeable staff, very friendly and willing to assist. Mohammed made sure everything was perfect before I picked up my car and the repairs were done in a timely matter and I was kept informed during the way. He also identified an issue which instead of just telling me what it was, asked me to come by so he can show me exactly what's wrong and what needed to be replaced. I do appreciate the honesty and the quality of work is top notch. If you want a comprehensive service with good customer service, Bethesda Auto is the place to go.

I took my car in for a md state inspection because I thought that was what I needed. They did the inspection but let me know that I was missing the year sticker for my registration and there was a flag on my registration due to needing my emissions test. They don't do emissions tests but they were able to extend the date for me & fix my registration so that they could give me the updated sticker! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! They really went out of their way to help me with a problem when they didn't have to.

What service! After I jumped my friend’s battery we came to this gas station because it was the closest automated car wash to DC. The guy had no problem jumping our battery again after filling up with gas. The air for her tires was FREE. Free! Then the guy hand washed her car before it went through the car wash. It was like it was personal for him. Let’s get this filthy car looking it’s best. Filthy! Her car is looking good for a ‘91 Civic!

State inspection:$95 Tint removal:$120 Both of which are decent. I say decent because I found a few places that had both the service for cheaper. 15+ dollars cheaper but the services were already being completed. I gave the place 3 stars partially due to how the services were complete but mainly because of the inconvenience the place caused. I came in for a Maryland state inspection at 1pm ( was told it would take 1 to 1and a half hrs). Inspection took 2.5 hrs. Which I’m fine with. Only thing I had to correct was my window tint. I was told it would be 120 to remove the tint and get passed today. Again which I’m fine with. I ask how long it will take to remove the tint I was told 30-45 mins. This is at 330pm. I was already here for 2.5hrs might as well get a passing inspection. They begin to remove the tint and the glue from my car windows. I Thought things were going pretty smoothly until it got to the back windshield. They removed the tint but not the glue. Instead of removing the glue from the back windshield, which was the last thing they had to do. They decided that everyone is going to take lunch at the same time and sat down to eat & chill for close to an hour. I have now been here for over 4 hrs and still have not had my car completed. If your trying to have your service completed in a professional/timely manner. I don’t recommend this place. If you just got time to waste then by all mean. Oh. They also decide to leave the power on in the car the entire time basically killing the car battery. I had to ask if the needed to have the power on before they decide to turn it off.

This is a review for the car wash. The air dryer was pretty pointless. The angle it’s set at, just blows the water around the car rather than off the car…. & i paid $12 which is a lot more than it’s worth. Edit - they’ve now removed soap from the $9 option and are extremely belligerent when you question the fact that it always had soap/ when it changed? An alleged con I suspect. So I’ll never go there again & recommend boycotting them as in these times trying to outsmart ppl is absolutely horrible business practices.
