My son was having issues with his car, not sure other than a brake problem. My son dropped it off at Wrays and they got back with my husband the same day with the issues. Needless to say there were multiple problems. The gentleman that my husband spoke with was knowledgeable and friendly. We have dealt with Wrays in the past and had a great experience as well. If you have a child away from home and they need help with a vehicle I would highly recommend Wrays.

Best in the business, hands down. Got a total rear brake replacement (not just pads and rotors), new serpentine belt, and tires less than 36 hours after dropping the car off. Very communicative on estimates/pricing. Better quality and still cheaper than the chain guys in town. They also gave me an estimate on some work I'd need down the line that I was unaware of. Chris and the rest of the folks at the front desk are the best. These are my go-to mechanic in Bloomington.

Found this amazing place after my son’s car broke down and asking for recommendations on FB. WOW!! Several people had raved about Wrays. Chris also sent me a message directly. After speaking with him, he met my son and the tow truck driver at the shop to make it easier for him. (The shop was closed for Labor Day!) He communicated with me several times and fit my son’s car in to be looked at and fixed between other appointments. He communicated with me and my son several times and made sure we knew what was going on. Great prices and great work!! The car was fixed and back on the road before I thought it would even be looked at! I can’t say enough good things about Chris. Will definitely use Wray’s again!

Brought my son's 2017 Honda civic with 95k miles to Wray Automotive after having work done a couple weeks prior at Mavis in Buffalo NY over Christmas break (student at IU). Struts and shocks replaced at Mavis after going in for a low tire pressure issue. Son drove car back to IN and noted creaking noise and wobbly feeling upon arriving back (600 mi drive). Took into Wray, only to find that the new struts had failed, with poor quality with shoddy installation and tires were exhibiting dry rot with side cracks (Mavis said tires were good, although starting to cup but could be 'saved' with other unrelated work.) I felt uneasy at Mavis but was focused on safety and didn't have time to take to another shop so I had to trust them. Chris at Wray was awesome, called me to confirm strut failure and other related issues. I ended up doing a full workup with Wray -- struts, cv axles, new tires, etc. Chris provided full report and pictures that aided me in going to back to Mavis who after seeing the details, quickly offered to provide a full refund. Fortunately, my son did not experience an accident on the way back to campus -- things could have been much worse. I highly recommend Wray Automotive, especially for IU students as Chris takes the time to involve the parents and is focused on keeping cars up and running, honestly and professionally with warranties to back it up. My daughter is an out of state IU student so when her car had a check engine light on and was shaking, she called me asking where she should get it checked out/repaired. My local auto repair shop provided Wray’s as recommended option for the work. My daughter also got Wray’s as a recommendation from a student friend who was highly satisfied with the work she had done there for her car. After thoroughly evaluating the car, Chris called and explained what work needed to be done for the car to fix the engine issue, and provided information about potential upcoming service needs. My IU student’s check engine light came on so I searched and found Wray’s. They were able to get her in a couple of days later to assess the issue. I spoke with Chris via phone as we are out of state. He was professional, knowledgeable, and kind while telling me what we needed and even gave us a break on a couple of things. I can’t say enough good things about Wray! They took excellent care of my college student when her older car broke down. My out-of-state IU student had some tire damage due to sliding on ice. I sent her to both the Ford dealership and Wray's for an estimate, after seeing several recommendations for them from other parents. To make a long story short, they ended up saving me a lot of money on the repair (around $1k) , but more importantly, were communicative, responsive and kind with both myself and my daughter, and were honest about the work that did and did not need to be done. I'm so pleased my daughter now has a local mechanic she can trust. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
