Very rude scammers. The girl at the front desk is very rude and argumentative. The mechanics are crooks. Brought car in for a routine inspection. They said I needed a new computer, and said they could save me money by getting it used. I looked it up online and it was $169. They wanted $650. When I told them no, they said it was too late, they already ordered it, and I could take them to Court if I wanted. Avoid them at all costs.

So I called to get a price for an engine. First they didn't want to do the job, then didn't like the fact that I wanted to bring in my own engine. It is a brand new engine from a dealer so that was kind of odd. Then I was told they would be calling me back with the price the following week as they had to get it all together. No call the following week. I called back and they had no recollection of my call? I'd avoid this place.

A&G is the best auto mechanic in the area. Period. I've been bringing my vehicles there since I was 16. They work super fast, always accurately diagnose even the most complicated problems w/ my car (and I've had many), and always do the work right the first time. If you drop your car off overnight, you will hear from them before 9am w/ a diagnosis and an accurate price quote, and the car will probably be done before noon, but certainly before the end of the day. A&G's quality is unmatched, but you will pay a premium for their time. They're not cheap by any means. There are some other good mechanics in the area that are cheaper, and if I know exactly what needs to be done to the car, I sometimes choose to save some $ and bring it elsewhere. But when i have a serious repair, or a complicated problem, A&G is always the way to go, and they always get it done. A+++

A&g repair our USPS LLV's. I see these guys all the time, and they work like dogs. Much respect. I recently got new wheels for my car, and in the process of removing my old wheel spacers, I rounded off one of the nuts that secures them on. I didn't have a proper sized nut extractor, so I stopped by after work. Al took a look, and told me to stop in tomorrow morning.. So, the next morning, I show up. He drove me to work in his car, and when I finished delivering my route, my car was back at the post office, and the keys at my sorting case. If that isn't a solid dude, then I don't know what is. Much appreciated! These guys are busy as hell, but if you are in the area, definitely give them a call. Tell them you know me. You'll get 0% off, but they'll say, 'cool story', and fix your car.

I am so happy I found a local Mechanic shop. I had been going to the dealership and spending ridiculous amounts of money only to have the same problem. I went here and they literally told me it was my oil that needed to be changed. The lack of oil was causing my engine to shut down, yet the dealership couldn't fix that. I will definitely be going here moving forward as will my mother, and I will definitely recommend to anyone in need of honest, friendly people that want their patrons to ride safely and feel confident in a reliable vehicle.

My car battery was suddenly discharging and I brought the car in to be checked out. I am not local to Hopewell Junction so was really in a jam. The folks at the shop gave me a battery charger so that I could jump the car. Drove straight there. The didn’t have an alternator in stock so I left the car over night. Drove home to Long Island with my son. This morning g got a phone call. Car running fine. Might be the battery or the alternator. Came to pick the car up to find out that there was no charge. Great service. Nice guys. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience….especially when in a pinch. Drove car home. Will take their recommendation and put in a new battery. Thanks guys!

My car had a broken belt which affected various aspects of driving. I work in Hopewell Junction, but live in Westchester, so I was not near my home. I had previously used this garage for other repairs when I lived in town because of their good reputation. They continue to provide excellent service. This could have been a very difficult situation, but they made the effort to come and tow me and fit me into a packed day so I could drive home a little after five. I am extremely grateful for their service and highly recommend them for any repairs needed.

We are fortunate for them I have nothing but good things to say. A&G is one of the best shops around. They do quality work at an affordable price, always take care of their customers, and have extremely courteous service. At this point, I don't care how far I'd need my car towed if something happened to it, but it'd be going to A&G. Edit: A&G continues to amaze. Al and his crew will fight for you in any way they can to make sure things work out for you. I seriously can't recommend them highly enough.

My car was involved in a freak accident when a rock flew off the back of a truck and went through my sunroof, causing scratches on the roof and damaging both the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Within two weeks, my car was completely repaired and detailed, looking as if it just came off the showroom floor. Ron and his crew managed every aspect of the insurance claim as well! The customer service was exceptional, with great attention to detail and service that truly went above and beyond. I would give them 10 stars if I could!
