A-Z Auto is a prize for car owners. Don Le, the owner and his mechanics are a mighty force in a modestly-sized shop. Don prides himself in being fair, doing the right thing and making sure he gets only an honest day's wage only after has done an honest day's work. I am lucky enough to own two Mercedes, a VW Bug, a BMW, a Prius and a Porsche. Until I met Don, I drove only Japanese cars for fear of the cost of keeping up exotic cars. Because of Don, I jettisoned a couple of my Japanese cars and picked up four great, fun German cars. He doesn't save hundreds of dollars, he literally saves thousands of dollars. Let me give one small example of how he saved me money. My Prius had digital engine display fail, costing $1600 at a Toyota dealer's shop. Because of this high cost, this is what led me, luckily, to find Don. He told me he knew someone who specializes in repair the existing board and he saved $1000 in repairing the board. It's been four years now and it works perfectly. He can also work on old cars, as well. He did some engine work on my old Ford F-250 pickup. He charged $800 while another, unnamed shop here in Gilroy estimated $2200 for the same work. As is his custom, he fixed it perfectly. Over the past many years, I've learned that Don actively seeks the best prices for the best parts to help his customers. Adding a guarantee makes only better for the car owner. He believes in doing the right thing for others because, as he tells me, "I can, live with myself." It is no exaggeration to say he looks out for his customers. His shop may be small but his work is great. You can waste your money at another shop or you can get high-quality repairs at the best price often with a one-year guarantee on parts and labor. In spite of owning six cars, I've never had to take him on that guarantee. I have also met a long-time customers, who drives 90 minutes from Lafayette solely because of Don's work. I will not switch to another shop because there is no equal to A-Z Auto Repair. Don his shop mechanics are "One of the Good Guys".

LOVE this auto shop. When Don worked at Truman's (permanently closed) I would bring all my cars to him. I was so happy to find him again in Gilroy. He always does an excellent job at a great price.
