Went in for a loud vibration in my engine that it does occasionally. Mechanic didn't fix the problem or even find what was wrong. He then proceeded to do a "diagnostic" which I didn't ask for (it doesn't have a check engine on). He charged me $130 for nothing, didn't even give me the diagnostic paper. If you wanna get ripped off, come here (:

During my visit in San Diego my car had some issues and I checked with a few shops in the area. After spending a few hours in couple different shots, someone recommended A1, and I’m so glad I found them. In less then one hour they fixed my car for a cost less then what other shops charged me for diagnose service. Thank you!

SCAM ARTISTS!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I look young but Im not a fool. Simply went in for an oil change and I receive the service, but they tried to sabotage my vehicles condition. They put 2 quarts more than it’s suppose to have. Not only that but they left my vehicle in gear after parking when service was finished. So When I started the vehicle to leave it jumped forward and stalled out after hitting the curb. Also they must not have used a funnel because I look at the valve cover and it has oil all over it. Not a very good first impression. Will not EVER return.

Very crooked repair shop, Stay away! After charging me $500 to diagnose & replace the fuel filter so my truck would pass smog, they loosened two clamps on my cold air induction so it would pop a new error code. No wonder he offered me free diagnosis on my next issue! Criminals! Response to response: I'm the only one who works in this truck. I installed the air induction system. You loosened the clamps around the air mass flow sensor, which popped P0101... vacuum leak or that sensor. I found the loosened clamps immediately, tightened them, cleared the code, & the truck is fine. No codes. You are a crooked shop.

STAY AWAY from this guy! He lies to his clients! He comes out with any excuse to fail your car. Then wants to charge you for repairs that your car don't need. How is he still in service. Money hungry! He want money upfront all the time.

I am so so pleased with my service from A1 Run Rite. I got lost and almost went to a different shop and I’m so glad I didn’t! A1 replaced my brakes & rotors and did an oil change all within an hour. This place was professional and VERY reasonably priced. To change your brakes and get new rotors-not just get them resurfaced- was $200+ tax with the coupon in the Get 1 Free magazine. No other place I called could match that ! The customer service was top notch too, Ali made this experience easy and just wonderful. This is how you run a repair shop!! I most definitely will be back for any car services needed and recommend them to anyone that will listen. Thank you A1!!!!

Wouldn’t recommend not only did he have the car for over a month but the stuff in my car was eaten up by rats and when I asked him about it he called me a liar and said he had no rats but had rat traps out, when we went to get the car he said he cleaned the engine, why would he have to do that if there was nothing in the engine to clean, the first time I got my car it was worse then how I gave it to him and took it back to him to fix his mistakes, he said it was completely safe to drive it. Not even a week after I got it, it died in the middle of the road and was completely unsafe to drive when I told him about it and told him I could not drive it he said to drive it to him. I had just went in there to change the catalytic converters and came out having to “fix” the air flow mass sensor, and gaskets. We had already fixed the air flow mass sensor with a mechanic friend and Jeff said it was faulty and put a new one in I call it a scam, Jeff also did lots of work without asking before hand and filled the transmission fluid up almost 2 liters more than it should of been filling the transmission fluid without permission and filling it far to much that if it wasn’t caught before hand the transmission would of been ruined

I was referred to this place and do not regret a bit. Really nice people. They took care of my car as it was theirs. I had my smog done and oil changed here. There was no time wasted, the guys work hard and honest. I recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic, check them out.

STAY AWAY !! There is nothing about this place that made me feel they have any integrity or honesty. First I paid close to $400 ($397) dollars for a vehicle safety inspection. I never shopped around prior to arriving, but found out that the average price in the area is about $270. Okay, so I paid $130 more with Jeff. He insisted I pay before the service - more to come there. Again, I made a big mistake by not shopping around or reading his reviews. Oh, his 12 reviews - isn't odd that he only has 12 reviews for 18 years of being in business, and all reviews are either 1 star (required) or 5 stars. Read them closely, all but one of the 5 star reviews look so fake. Okay, so he does the inspection and he finds some issues... He immediately tells me if I drive off to have these repairs done, I would have to pay the $400 ($397) dollars again. EXTRORTION. Okay, I had 3 issues. 1\ a worn tire - yes it did look worn, but not enough to not pass - of course he sights worst case risk. He does not repair tires, but he said I could drive off "AFTER" I pay for the other repairs and then come back to show him the new tire. (again he does not have tire service). Issue 2\ - worn front brakes. again, not something I could see myself easily. and the third 3\ issue was lights were not aligned. I did ask for the old parts, and again they looked fine to me. plenty of brake pad left. He just wanted the payout. Well what do you know he can fix my brakes and lights for about another $385. If I do not pay him now or drive off - I lose my $400 dollars. Okay - I will give him credit - he can do math - it took him 10 minutes to work up my numbers. He could of offered to do some of the work for a reduced rate do to the extra $130 he charges for the same service as others. The lights adjustment was a joke. So... Knowing very well I would be an idiot to drive off without allowing him to extort me. I allowed him to do the work and only when I offered to have the brakes and the tire to be delivered did he lower his price (how convenient). He admittedly said that I could drive off only to do the items he does not service and then come back to get my "Pass" certificate, but only AFTER I pay him for his services. Why? Is this even legal? So I paid him the extortion and I personally had to physically walk over 3/4 of a mile to have the tire repaired. I still can't believe how blatant and cavalier he was about what he was doing. And with a smile the whole time. I am glad you are reading these reviews and did not make the same mistake I made of not looking at the reviews. BUT, if you do decide to come here and deal with these guys, then you deserve what you get. Also, I will also post this same review on the BAR website and let them know that it just appeared very shady what he is doing - he should NOT have a license to do these inspections.
