My husband took his car here for service. Upon entering the store, there was no greeting, "how can I help you" or anything. The representatives (middle age or older males) just looked at him. Then when my husband asked if this was the correct location of the building to have his car worked on, one of the men just shook his head, yes; still no words. They did not say "what can we help you with" or any inquiry as to what was needed. At this point my husband told them what he believed to be the problems. He was told a diagnostic would be ran and they would proceed from there. It was later in the day so we left the car overnight. The next day we did not hear from them and when my husband called no one answered. The following morning he called and the car was not done yet; they promised to do the diagnostic and call him back. By midday, no call so he went back to the facility and was told they were swamped, so they could not tell him when they would get to it, or even give him an estimate!! He still had to pay for the diagnostic ($109). My husband decided not to leave the car. The customer service and lack of communication were the biggest problems with them! I really would have preferred not to have even paid for the diagnostic; after-all they should not have even done it if they could not foresee a plausible time frame for beginning work on the car! I guess we were at fault for evening leaving the car after the initial encounter (no acknowledgment or attempt to assist without prompting). Poor Poor service!!!

Great service quick and on time. Have used these guys off and on for years only because they are a bit of a drive from my house. They are my go to people for when I have a pressing or involved car issue. Great service team and Carey (SP?) was a great manager to work with. Extremely pleased with value of service.

The service is always great here! I've been getting my car serviced here since they opened and I've never left disappointed. The service manager Derrick is always kind and helpful! I can't remember the technician's name (I'm sorry if you get a chance to read this) is always kind when I do get to speak to him and he always goes the extra mile to ensure my car is in its best condition.

I have had 3 of my vehicles serviced recently at AAA in Hampton. All contacts and conversations with the service managers were polite and professional. The repairs were completed in accordance with stated instructions and estimates, and were finished on time. No complaints. I would recommend AAA for maintenance for anyone who does not want to go to a car dealership, or risk work from a small repair shop.

They almost never answer the phone, or call you back when you leave a message. So after hours of trying to get ahold of someone i finally did and of course they were out of stock of everything i needed. Very basic items and it was early in the day.Avoid. Avoid.Avoid.

Terrible service and professionalism. Brung my car in for repairs because it would not start. Then I received a call from the service center saying my car was fixed and ready to roll. After paying a king’s ransom for the repair, I went out the door to start my car only to realize it still would not run. I went back in to complain and got jerked around by multiple personnel as to why I couldn’t speak to a manager. Now mind u I paid for an Uber to get to the service center and pick up my car. So again a waste of my time and money. The service agent swore up and down the repairs were made and the car was drivable, however there is no way it was fixed and i go to drive off and it would not start, still. The staff was not even accommodating as to the inconvenience they caused by misleading me into believing my car was ready to go. Not to mention i was on my lunch break trying to get my car. So now i was late getting back to work from lunch thereby costing me money and time at my job, due to their lack of competence. Ultimately I did get my car back, running and fixed but the mood had soured because of my initial bad experience. Hell i would have been a little less irritated had they shaved something of the full billing price for the inconveniences i had to endure. Sadly I would not recommend this busy to my enemy for any car trouble issues.

They replaced my water pump in mid July then in August had to take it back for the same thing and on September 15 for the same water pump that they charged $1500.00 to replace. Then on October 16 they had not replaced the $1500.00 water pump nor would they give me a refund for faulty work. This is truly one place that I would never ever take my car to because there excuse for not performing the job is that their mechanic, only 1 at the location, is out sick and then he is on vacation is the only person who can work on your vehicle. Again with all the receipts for the work that was paid for in hand they refused to give me a refund and there corporate office will not respond. I guess this is their way of conducting business besides their over priced membership of ripping off customers without blinking an eye.

One of the employee is selling their personal car from this location. He tried to hide the fact that the car had a blown transmission. Tried to prevent me from getting the car inspected by a third party mechanic. He even got the car's VA state inspection done from here(AAA hampton) itself yesterday and everything passed!!. Really!!! A car with blown transmission had state inspection passed. It is so shameful that AAA is allowing people to use its resources to trick people.

The only thing that was ok was the diagnosis for $99 bucks. They said that my number 5/7 coil pack and #7 sparkplug was bad and catalytic converter was bad. All this would cost me $1200. I had taken my 99sls to a muffler king before taking the car to AAA a month prior. I was told by them my mufflers had time left on them and I needed to fix my motor problem. Now I told AAA to change the coil pack and spark plug. They said for a total of $250 parts and labor diagnostic included. The changed coil pack 1/4 and probably the wrong sparkplug too and I paid the price. Car still has the same hesitation.

Awful experience. I had my car towed there 11/26 and they told me I was 3rd in line to get checked. They did not call me one single time during the whole 6 DAYS my car was there. I called to follow up and they kept saying no one has looked at it. It was 2 days before Thanksgiving and I was suppose to travel but they failed to give any updates or at the very least a diagnosis. Finally they on Dec 3rd they told me it needed spark plugs and ignition coils…they quoted me $1600 to do the job. RIDICULOUS. I ended up taking it to Pep Boys to do the job for half the price and 3 times better service. The kicker is when I had them email the estimate they had already had the diagnosis the day after I dropped it off (11/27). THE ESTIMATE HAD THE DATE ON IT. They just never called me…if they couldn’t go it that’s fine…I would’ve at least came and got my car… Also, the diagnosis didn’t show any codes so that’s a red flag in its self. Save your time, money, and dignity and go somewhere else.

I am a Firm believer that a wise person will have AAA card in their wallet. I have been a member for over 38 years. They have a plan for anyone. I started out with their basic plan, and upgrade to Plus and now I am a premier member. They offer many services; Travel, Insurance, and Auto repair. I locked myself out of my home and car. Keys were in the house. I called AAA and I had locksmith service on my plan! Saved by AAA. Years ago my engine threw a Rod and blew out my engine. We were stranded well over 150 miles from home. AAA paid for most of the cost of the towing back to home and we paid the rest. AAA made it very manageable. They are there when you need them so it gives me peace of mind when I am out on the road. I have been in some places where the nearest decent size town or City was well over a 100 miles or more away. Looking for something unique and useful for Graduation, Christmas, Birthdays, Anniversaries, promotions, or any special event in the lives of the ones you love and care about...Give them a n AAA membership!

My experience with this car care center was one of the worst I've had. After having my vehicle towed, it took over 48 hours for me to get a callback or response from the techs, and at that time they claimed they needed to add additional diagnostic time. Another 5 days later, I called for an update and they hadn't even touched the vehicle, which seemed deliberate. I had it towed to a different shop who resolved my issues same day for 1/4 of what this shop was charging. Awful communication issues, costs are overpriced and they tried to charge for unnecessary work, and they have no sense of customer service. Avoid this shop and take it somewhere else; AAA name, but F- in service.

Super unprofessional regarding communication with customers. They quoted 2 different prices snd 2 different timelines for the vehicle to be serviced. Spoke with the manager and he made excuses for inadequate communication. The staff were nice, but didn’t seem to stand by their words as things kept changing. Due to the AAA be unorganized and lacking with communication I will likely go to the Chevrolet dealership the next time I need work done

I'm so amazed with AAA! With Kerry with excellent customer service skills he has the customer's best interest at heart! He been the same all the years I've serviced my car there. Also to Adam the mechanic that serviced my car wow he did a excellent job! So happy they both made my day! Overall this is a good place to do business with!
