I have been a owner of Tysinger Hyundai cars for over 10 years. I bought my first car straight out of college from them. My family has bought many Hyundais from them. Sadly their service has decreased tremendously especially after the pandemic. I took my car in on one occasion in the Spring 2023 to ger my ac fixed. The service tech over my account was a new guy and he would never answer the phone to tell me when my vehicle would be ready. When initially dropping my car off he stated it would take about 3 to 4 days to fix my car. I asked if they would offer a rental for the time being since in the past they would as sales tactic to get you buy a car from them in the future. He told me to take an Uber and go to car rental place on Mercury. I was quite upset to say the least esp when I'm looking a a sign within the service station that says Rental for customers to reserve. After 4 days the car still was not ready and due to the gentleman never answering his phone I had to catch a ride to the location on the 6th or 7th day all find out my car was ready. Going an entire week without a car and not offering a rental is UNACCEPTABLE. I took that occurance as maybe the new guy didn't know. So the next time I brought in my car in July to get something else fixed, I asked for a shuttle to pick me up at 2PM from my job. Noone would answe the phone and by the time I got a hold of someone it had been an hour all to find out the had the wrong address and noone tried to call me to confirm the correct one. Due to not having enough mechanics they are back up months away so if you need a service item fixed and you have to go somewhere else to get it done. They warn you when calling they are at least 2 weeks to a month backed up. I'm hoping they get it together and have better customer service.

I came in for a scheduled battery replacement. I was thinking I’d be there 30 minutes tops. I wasn’t informed when I called to make the appointment or when I checked in that this is a 2-3 hour process when the battery is under warranty. Needless to say I was fairly frustrated waiting 2 hours for something that should take a fraction of that time. Jessica was really nice and helpful however, 5 stars for her.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone servicing their car at this location. I took my Hyundai on Friday for maintenance (tire rotation and oil change) and was told I had to wait until Saturday to pick up my car. I asked for a rental and as informed they had a backlog of service and didn’t have anymore rentals to give out. I called all day on Saturday (about 6-7 times) and was told on several account the manager was assisting customers and was the only one working for the day. I was finally able to get ahold of the manager at 3:55pm and was informed whatever work was to be done on the car was not done as the guy who was supposed to work on my car did not work until Monday. As I explained to the Manager I had to get to work on Monday and couldn’t leave my car there on a weekday but unfortunately I did not get the assistance or guidance to pick my car up as the phone call ended and upon trying to call back no one answered. There was no sort of proper communication on the process at all. I went in Monday morning to pick up my car since I had to be at work at 9am, they brushed me off without rescheduling my service or any form of apology. All I got was those who worked in the weekend did not get the chance to take a look at it. Very unprofessional and am sure am not the only person whose time they have wasted.

Unprofessional culture that lacks customer service. I took a day off from work and scheduled an 8 am appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and brake check. I explained to my tech, Amanda, that I would need my car by 4 pm. She promised to call with an update at noon and indicated my car will be done on time. At 1 pm I grew concerned with no call so I called and had to leave a message. From this point I called several more times and at no moment was I able to speak with a person to get an update. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was told by Amanda my car was not serviced and I would have to come back tomorrow. When I asked why and why she didn’t call me as promised, I was told she basically forgot and did not have time. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he’s too busy so I got in line with all the other unhappy customers and had my 5 minutes with him, Mr Lee. His lack of care cannot be overemphasized; very unprofessional with a terrible “take it or leave it attitude”. He told me this happens all the time and I can leave my car for a day or two and they “should” be able to get to it. All this for an oil change?!?! Before I could fully explain the details I was interrupted by several other unsatisfied customers in his office. This place is a circus with a complete lack of value for their customers. I have been here for service off and on for many years and had similar issues in the past which is why I try to avoid it. I called the head service manager, Mr Leatherman, and received my first apology and acknowledgement that his business was at fault, but again he just explained they have too many customers to provide the service they promise. I explained to him I won’t return. Poor leadership and process problems plague this location; doing the same things (booking far too many appointments) and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. This is the worst service center I’ve ever been to, avoid this Hyundai service center.

Tysinger is the best! I purchased my vehicle from Tysinger and I must say that, from the vehicle purchase to the service appointments, everything has far exceeded my expectations. Their overall services from beginning to end are nothing but memorable and their staff is AMAZING!!! Whenever I have an appointment, my service advisor (Jessica) lets me know how long my estimated wait is going to be and if it exceeds that time, she provides me with an update so I'm not left hanging in the wind wondering if they forgot about me lol. Tacky!!! I've been a patron for several years and loved them but I've noticed a downturn in the customer service in the past year. Today took the cake. Had to wait 6 weeks for an inspection appointment. Dropped my vehicle off first thing in the morning and got zero follow up. After 8 hours I called in, no response. Called back and requested a manager, got Mark who abruptly transferred me to Valencia who had already failed to respond the first time. She lackadaisically told me they hadn't even started the work and couldn't have my car ready before the next evening. Never answered my inquiry about why I wasn't informed. I was so irate I cancelled and retrieved my car. I am really disgusted and will be notifying Hyundai corporate as well. At least the shuttle driver was courteous.

I like everything about Tysinger but what I love the most is the customer service ! My rep Jessica yes she’s mine lol is the absolute best ! I would most definitely describe her as professional, courteous and a detailed individual. which I especially love so I’m never lost about my car issues . She takes the time out to give me such a great understanding to things that I’m really oblivious too. She’s very personable and treats me like I am part of the Tysinger family ! SCAM OPERATION. DO NOT GO HERE. This 'company' charged us $1700 to take my wife's car for 2 weeks, gave it back to us in worse condition than we brought it in, misdiagnosed it twice, did not fix the problem, ignored almost every phone call we made while it was being worked on, charged us for repairs we didn't even approve, and then gave us back a broken car and told us to buy a new car. Then they 'offered' to charge us more money to fix something else. After already having misdiagnosed it twice, they expected us to fall for that? This is a textbook scam operation.

Absolutely horrible service. My car has been sitting here for 3 weeks. Management is terrible. From the service manager on up. They only respond after the fact. No one answers phones. It should never take hours to get someone on the phone. AND FOR SOME REASON IM STILL WAITING.

I had my mechanic tell them what needed to be repaired on the pre-owned car I was purchasing before I would purchase it. To get me to buy the car they told me they would do the repairs, then once I had signed the papers, they told me he was wrong about one repair (rotors and brakes) but they would do the other that they had agreed to do from the beginning (new tires). I bought the car anyway after getting a quote for what it would cost me to repair them with my mechanic after the fact (which was worth it to me to get me out of the dealership after having spent all day there to make this purchase). Two weeks after I bought the car, I had to take it to my mechanic and get new rotors and brakes as well as get the alignment fixed because three of the four tires showed "red" (out of alignment) on the alignment rack. The alignment is what made me take it into my mechanic in the first place, it was driving horribly. I emailed all the email addresses I had for the dealership about this issue; I even told them I had the printout from the alignment rack if they wanted to see it. I got no response (no surprise, I know). Second issue - I recently received a recall for the same car. My mechanic reluctantly called the service department since they're the only Hyundai nearby and they scheduled us for the recall appointment. Later I decided due to my mistrust of this service department to take the car to Pensacola for the recall repair, so we cancelled this appointment. We were then told that the recall did not have a solution yet anyway and a repair would not have been completed at the time of the service appointment. Then why make the appointment in the first place? Or if they found out after making the appointment, why not contact us and cancel the appointment? I understand times are hard, but I don't think Hampton Hundai is hurting so much for money that they have to sacrifice their ethical dignity.
