I've been to a few shops in town and these guys are great. They are knowledgeable, capable and efficient. The price was reasonable and the experience has been the best I've ever had with a mechanic.

Great customer service, friendly people. We had a power transfer unit replaced in our car it took them a little over a week to get the part but had it repaired quickly afterwards. Cost was high but to be expected during these times, they did actually do it the cheapest I could find and the inspection for the repair was free of charge. Will definitely refer them and go back, but hopefully not too soon! :)

1 star is even too much if you ask me. I took my 2013 f150 in for some visible leaks on the ground and asked them to see what was wrong. They then called me a few days later and quoted me over $3000 for various fixes they “found” and said more than half of it was necessary to fix now. I had them do some of the fixes but not all the ones they fished for. I took my truck to a second mechanic for another opinion and theirs was much more honest. About a month later my truck was leaking again even after said leak “fixes” were performed. Took it back and they had it for a week and I had received no call. So I called them and they had already diagnosed it 2 days prior, not to mention they were super condescending in their description of what was wrong with my vehicle. So it had been diagnosed but I didn’t receive a call. So I had been out of a vehicle for 3 days when I could have had it. Very unprofessional and lack of care in my opinion. I then drove it for a few days and more fluids had leaked leading me to believe they somehow made it worse. DO NOT GO TO them. They are disrespectful, dishonest, unprofessional, and not thorough whatsoever.

Competent, friendly, fast service, and we’re actually 25% lower than the three other shops I checked first for servicing my car. I’m new to the area, and these guys won my business!

Unfortunately, and sadly 😥 have to give an honest review. The workers there 5 years ago aren't there anymore. Was just recently in and they have completely lost my and family's trust and business. Went in for an estimate due to a T-boned wreck. The estimate they did wasn't even accident related. And believe they rushed through things. And "fishing" for more money out of pocket & not for the insurance. The guy up front was probably the best communicative person & didn't beat around the bush. Although, whoever did the "look over" of the wear & tear or basic "lack of maintenance" (desk manager words), of things... they so far shown to be untrustworthy. Said there was a crack or rip in the serpentine belt, dirty transmission oil etc... well we had those things looked over. The belt is literally just fine. And the quackado obviously got motor oil and transmission oil confused?! I'll just say... the quoted nearly 5 grand to fix with all the problems on the list was nothing but show they were fishing for more money. What also infuriating is they also did more damage to my drivers door. They literally had to pull it hard to get it more bent the way it is now. And the hinges have dropped. We've had the vehicle for some time since the accident and door been working fine until we got the vehicle back. Which we waited weeks for a best time for AAMCO to bring the vehicle in. First call they said how swamped they were, so we were willing to wait because how awesome they were in the past. Honestly, I think things were rushed. Guy upfront decently cool. But...don't trust now. They deliberately were disrespectful to the vehicle. I have no doubt was done purposely due to failing the original appointment time & apologizing and having to reschedule it two days later. We were treated like dollar signs. We have had our other vehicle in for a new thermostat and that's crappy too. Went through a loan through them and the people they use are sketchy. Will not do business with them ever again. Their ethics have changed. Period.

Had my car’s engine completely shut off in the middle of the road. Thought the motor was done for. I’d never had to get a tow before, but AAMCO was more than willing to help me get a tow truck to bring it there. When they got to diagnosing the issue it turns out there was a hole in my intake which allowed bugs and grit to get in and block the airflow to my engine. A simple clean was all it needed to get it running right and they did it free of charge. Could have easily charged me a ton of money but they didn’t.

Had my Nissan Titan towed there due to my transmission going out on me on the freeway. Called them the next day to tell them what happened and they assured me they will look at what the problem was and let me know that evening. Two days later I called and Mike explained to me that my transmission was “trashed” and it needs rebuilt along with various other parts and quoted me over $6200. I went in that day to talk to them in person and Mike and another employee explained to me that “the transmission is completely ruined, there’s was coolant in the trans and trans fluid inside the radiator” I asked to see the samples they pulled from each and they said they dumped them already and all fluids were drained so I will not be able to see anything. Immediately I lost trust from them and towed the truck back to my house. I dropped the transmission pan and to my surprise there was no coolant inside my trans. Drained the radiator and again to my surprise there was no trans fluid inside that. All I did was change a cracked trans line and refilled fluids and my truck was back on the road with no problems at all. Their dishonesty to make easy money off customers is unacceptable. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

I would give them a 0 if I could. I took my vehicle in for a simple repair. The engine only had 23k miles and still under warranty. They messed up the initial repair and when I brought it back in, they did unauthorized, and unnecessary, work. The shop owner stated he fired the tech who did it. This ultimately led to piston, valve, and head damage. They claimed they couldn't get a new head so they had a machine shop repair it (I could have got a new head easily from a few different local parts stores). When they replaced the piston they damaged by breaking a spark plug they had no reason to remove, they did the repair incorrectly, yet again, and it blew my engine and voided my warranty. Their lead mechanic drove my vehicle over 20 minutes with a rod knock and tried saying the noise wasn't from my engine. It took weeks to get ahold of the owner. I had to call his other shop to reach him. He attempted to offer me an older personal vehicle as a rental. I denied it and removed my vehicle from his shop after getting his insurance information. His insurance refuses to pay for all the upgrades I have or nearly a month's worth of loss of use although they took liability. They totaled my vehicle. His insurance also told me to go after him directly. I paid over $1000 for a repair that was botched, and his insurance will not reimburse full vehicle value. Needless to say, I will be out a lot of money and will not be able to adequately replace my vehicle. I will be going after him for loss of use and reimbursement for what I paid.

Our old mechanic retired. We trusted him implicitly. Finding a new mechanic is hard, but Matt at Aamco made things easier. He got us in quickly and our first test job, replacing a window motor went well, so we tried a more complicated repair and everything went great. Aamco's prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent. And the work has thus far been awesome. I highly recommend.

Matt and his crew of mechanics were great!!! They were BETTER than the top TWO mechanics in-town (I won't embarrass them), for the TIME I waited, the ATTITUDE of my treatment AND the COST of the bill was HALF of the other guys!!!!! Great job, AAMCO😉👌. I WILL count on YOU next time I need somebody GOOD😁😁😁😁😁👌👌👌👌👌

Had an awful experience with Aamco!! I can be understanding when someone makes a mistake, but they were in complete denial of responsibility and, to top it off, were deceitful about it to cover their @sses. This is what happened... After an awful divorce, I was raising four children on my own while working on my bachelor's degree, and was flipping cars to make ends meet. With the help of my brother who was a lifetime mechanic, and my friend B who is also a very experienced mechanic, we rebuilt an 8-cylinder 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo because it had spun the #8 connecting rod bearing. Apparently this was a common problem due to insufficient oil flow to the rear cylinder. We were very meticulous and took our time to do this almost complete rebuild right, and it worked because the Jeep ran beautifully. I drove it around for a while and before even listing it someone asked to buy it. We had the sale all agreed upon for the $5k it booked at when I insisted on having Aamco double check whether it had a hard garage shift. I have always been very aware of my vehicles and wanted to make sure it was all good before turning it over to the buyer. When I took it to the Nampa 12th Ave store, I explained that we had rebuilt the engine and that I simply wanted them to see if it in fact had a hard garage shift or if it just seemed that way to me as every car is a little different. The mechanic/technician even complimented on how well it ran. From there it just went downhill. Not too long after dropping it off I received a call in which the mechanic said that splicing a ground into the wiring harness would resolve the issue. Knowing just enough about cars to get myself into trouble I was very skeptical and strongly questioned whether this would cause problems. He insisted that it wouldn't and was the best solution. Trusting that he knew better than me I said okay. Then I didn't hear from him/Aamco; they made no effort to communicate with me. I called every few days but couldn't get an answer to what was going on but could see my Jeep just sitting out on the side of the shop. Finally, after a few weeks of no answers I went in person. I talked with the manager who was oblivious to the fact that my Jeep was even there. I told him what had been going on and he said he'd look into it. When he finally called me back he said that their splicing a ground into the wiring harness couldn't possibly be the problem, but that we had done something wrong in our rebuild. In the end, they had my Jeep for a month, and I had to tow it home because it wouldn't start; it sounded horrible when we tried. Then they tried to charge me $97.06, for what, I don't know, and insisted I sign a "Settlement Agreement" releasing claim on any liability. I refused and left with my Jeep in tow. Now I'd lost the $5k sale that I desperately needed to recoup my expenses and pay bills, and was back to square one not knowing what was wrong with it. With the manager of the store refusing to take any responsibility I attempted to contact Aamco Corporate where unfortunately I just got the run around. We set out trying to determine what was wrong with it but then things came to a screeching halt when my brother was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer. This battle was too big to even think about other issues, so many things were put on the back burner and the Jeep has just been sitting. Recently I tried again to contact Aamco and address what they had done. With the help of Mark Munson (the only person associated with Aamco who seemed to have any integrity) we found the shop's original paperwork on the service request and I was not surprised one bit to see that they had falsified the document. The intake notes were what I had asked them to do on my Jeep, but somehow they had it listed as a Dodge Stratus with a completely different VIN. Hmmm... Interestingly I found, as my friends asked about the Jeep's progress, that many of them also had terrible experiences with Aamco. DO NOT USE THEM!!

I do not recommend this aamco anymore. we've had to have them replace the alternator 3 times and now the timing belt needs replace again! Timing belts should last upwards of 60,000 miles to 100,000. I've put a small fraction of that kind of mileage on my van. Now we have to pay $1,100 AGAIN!? This is ludacris! They must be using the cheapest parts out there.

Great, friendly service. They took the time to look over my car and give me a clear quote. Unfortunately the repair cost was more than the car was worth for me, but they were honest about it and didn’t charge me for their time. Really appreciated their kindness and transparency.

First, the Customer service was great! Kind and helpful. Second these guys not only fixed my issue but were honest and not just trying to make an easy buck. Lastly they made sure i knew what was going on, and very patient. I would recommend my own family here, so I’d advise anyone with car issues like me to have these guys check it out.
