My husband and I took our Honda Civic here for a third opinion. We had two other very reputable transmission shops tell us there was a hole in our transmission that couldn’t be fixed. They both quoted us $6-7k for a transmission replacement. Russ and his builder looked the transmission over and figured out the hole was just because the fill plug was missing. This ended being an extremely simple and low cost fix. I am so thankful to Russ for being honest with us and not just trying to get our money - he literally saved us thousands of dollars. We were about to throw in the towel with our car and cut our losses, but now we have it back in perfect working condition. If any of our vehicles have transmission issues in the future, we will be coming here.

Best Customer Service Team William was such a great help. He made sure I was comfortable when I was stressing out about my car. And then reassured me that everything was going to be fine. Him and Trent found the problem within 10min. Then they went beyond what they needed to do and help me get a ride home instead of having to order for a Lyft or Uber.

I took my car there telling him. I think I have a blown engine. They came back with no, you're only have a cat lack converter problem. I told them that I can't pay for a Calla converter $2100. If the car aint fixed, they told me that the cars completely fixed. So I said OK and I paid it now. I can't even buy a new car. I've been in a rental car for several weeks and they charged me 400 more. For work that they get in the car runs the exact same way it did when I dropped it off. This is the biggest rip-off place I've ever ever ever ever dealt with and now I have to take them to court just to get my money back, which we will be doing. It would have been a different story if I didn't ask him from the very beginning to check if the engine is blown but I did and they did nothing to check. Because now the engine is still blown. And I paid all that money for nothing. This place is a joke rip-off. Do not go there.

I honestly cannot say enough about how incredibly nice and professional Mike the owner, treated us in having a new motor placed in our son's car. He acted with integrity and patience from the very beginning as he explained in detail, the process and the time it would take for the repair. He went above and beyond in helping us purchase the motor from a reliable source and he made the repairs in great time. And his follow-up has been nothing short of professional and very generous. We cannot recommend Mike and his team at Aamco high enough. You will not be dissapointed!

UPDATE: This place scammed me out of 2500!! They did unnecessary work that did not even fix my car. I took it to MIke Shaw Subaru and was about to get the break light switch replaced (which confirmed this place does use after market parts) and that is all I needed. DO NOT RECOMMEND. They keep your car for longer than they should . They charge dealership prices but use aftermarket parts. Paid them over 2500 back in June and my car is STILL having the same issues. Save your money and take it to the dealership.

This place is top notch! I brought my truck to them for a second opinion with a transmission issue. They listened to my situation and genuinely wanted to get my truck fixed. To do this, it took additional research by mechanic Kevin to understand the problem and come up with the correct fix. The communication with Russ was always prompt and effective. I consider Aamco to be my new "regular mechanic" and will recommend them.amy and everyone! Thanks again for your willingness to help me out

I've taken me truck to AAMCO for the normal oil changes but I've also gone there for bigger issues. Russ and his team has always gotten my truck fixed up right. I've never had a problem with the work, the price has always been fair and communication of issues found always open and accurate! I'll take my truck back in a heartbeat and I definitely recommend this AAMCO to all my friends and family!!

Called ahead to make an appointment for when we would be out of town so as to not be inconvenienced by missing a car. Scheduled a Thursday night drop off appointment for a promised pickup by Monday. Showed up Thursday to be told they don't take appointments and there's no way it would be done by Monday. Thanks for making it clear we should find another place to work on our car.

They’ve done me well. My Work van going on two yrs and still going from a transmission repair. Just took in my truck and they took it in quick and fixed the transmission lines and performed a transmission oil change. Service was great. They’re hard working and committed. Id recommend them any day. Not the best pricing but reliable. Figure good work costs more. 👍👍.

They were so helpful with my project car! Brought it in for a leaky transmission and AAMCO also fixed little things I missed, free of charge. Very kind and reasonably priced, especially considering so many shops up-charge you horrendously.

**JEEP OWNERS BEWARE — EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE** I don’t take writing one-star reviews lightly, but my experience with this shop leaves me no choice. I brought in my Jeep Cherokee after noticing issues, and chose this location based on convenience and what appeared to be decent reviews. At the initial visit, I was told the problem was a faulty oil cooler along with some other parts. I paid approximately $1,700 total for the replacement job and was assured the issue was resolved. However, after driving the vehicle only three times in the following weeks, the same issue returned. When I took my car back in I was again told the issue was with the oil cooler — the exact same diagnosis — and was charged a second time for the same repair. According to the shop’s own warranty policy, this second repair should have been covered. Unfortunately, I only realized this upon reviewing my receipts after the fact. It’s also worth noting that I was sold on an aluminum oil cooler during the first repair, with the promise that it would be more reliable. Less than a month later, I was told I needed another replacement by the same person who told me I won’t need another replacement? How does that make sense? At this point, I have spent nearly $4,000, and my Jeep is still experiencing the same issue I originally brought it in for. The most frustrating part is that I will now need to return a fourth time for a problem that should have been properly diagnosed and repaired during the first visit. It is also worth noting that I have not refused to pay for the repairs or that this shop has diagnosed my vehicle with another issue. When I brought my car back for the third time you had a chance to tell me where you went wrong. Instead you doubled down and said it’s fine, when it is in fact not fine. I strongly urge other Jeep owners — and all customers — to take their vehicles elsewhere. This experience has been a waste of time, money, and trust.

I very rarely leave google reviews, especially one star ones. However, it’s worth noting how incredibly disrespectful, dishonest, uncommunicative, and incompetent his process was over two days with this mechanic. My partner brought a car in that he’s under a 7-day warranty with to purchase - so time was of the essence to help troubleshoot a heavy oil leak and make sure the car was road worthy enough for purchase. I will also say my partner does most of his car work himself, so he’s pretty competent at troubleshooting mechanical issues and understanding a mechanics process. He dropped his car off on Tuesday night after talking to the shop and making them aware of the situation - they said they’d take a look the next day. He called in the late afternoon after not hearing from the shop - they said they’d call him right back. They never did. He called an hour later and they said they haven’t even pulled it into the shop - no reason given. When he asked if it’s possible to get it tomorrow, he said “We will have a conversation tomorrow” no other context. On Thursday, same thing, no communication, he called again, no answer. They finally called him back. Said they didn’t have a phone number for him….despite after JUST calling him back. He asked where they were in the process, they said it took them two hours to get the car setup into the shop, no work on it, just to get it set up to start working on it. At that point my partner couldn’t justify continuing to be lead through an incredibly unclear process. When he went to pick it up - the car was literally not even in the shop, it was in a line of cars and clearly had not been touched. For reference we took it somewhere else at 5:30 on Thursday night, by 8:09 am when in writing this, this new mechanic had already called and diagnosed the issue after looking at it. Sorry but when someone is considering purchasing a vehicle, after your car broke down a week ago, and has thousands of dollars in the balance of just trying to understand if the car is road worthy to purchase within 7 days, please just have a little bit of empathy for other people and understand how stressful and frustrating this is and just communicate, be a decently understanding humanbeing and be honest. And maybe don’t tell someone to bring in their car if you don’t have the capacity to look at it in a timeframe that was clearly communicated, not even fix it, just look at it.

Near Thanksgiving I had the transmission in my '06 Buick Lucerne 69,000 mi go out, Russ came and picked it up did a 21 point inspection found that the intake manifold was leaking as well, have both done. Also at the same time I had the clutch in my 2000 Tacoma SR5 3.4 done as well. It Hadn't started slipping yet but I like to be proactive with my vehicles and it was about time anyway. About a week or so after the clutch was done the transfer case started leaking. Russ covered that under the clutch repair at no cost, He Is the kind of guy you want to sit down and watch a bronco game with and laugh He's a pretty jolly happy guy straightforward and able to de-escalate very well, Cuz I am a caffeine user and I can be pretty amped up at times. I would recommend aamco for your transmission needs. Rich Root

I took my car to this shop for a second opinion. I was told from a affordable transmissions in thornton that i needed a new transmission. I knew better. Russ and his team were so professional, up front and honest with me. I did not need a new transmission. Russ saved me 7k that I was quoted from the first place I took my car too. I will definitely be back to have any service I need. THANK YOU RUSS AND TEAM. YOUR THE BEST!!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND SCAMMERS We had a horrible experience with Arvada Aamco under Russ Marr's ownership. The 8-month repair period for our 2013 F150 resulted in $10k in charges for parts allegedly replaced. Unfortunately, the vehicle was returned inoperable three times with check engine lights, ticking motor, wont go over 20 mph, black smoke ect. Our attempts to resolve the issues were met with hostility from Russ Marr. Specifically, our truck was returned with the check engine light on three times, experienced multiple breakdowns, oil flowing out the bottom with multiple check engine & warning lights on and spent eight months in the Arvada Aamco shop with every excuse why it wasn't fixed . We paid 10k to Arvada Aamco and are disappointed We now have a non-operational truck and NO REFUND !

Do not use this business! We were called on a Friday afternoon that our car was ready for pick up. I dropped off my husband and went home. The car wasn't ready! An employee drove my husband home and said that the car would be worked on that night and ready in the morning. He said he would pick up my husband on Sat. morning to get him back to pick up the car. No one showed up and no one called. It was a long weekend and we never heard back from them until Tuesday! We were told that the owner Russ told the employee not to pick us up and didn't bother calling us to let us know. We were also told that Russ doesn't care about the business anymore and doesn't care about bad reviews. So here you go, Russ. I hope you lose your business.

Unfortunately I advised my girlfriend to bring her 2014 Lexus NX to this shop to repair her transmission. The car has been here since Dec 1, 2025 for a job we were told would take 1 week to complete. The car is still on the lift as of today January 23, 2026 and Russ the shop owner continues to blow smoke and give excuse after excuse why he is not able to put the car back together. He claims he needs one part, sent the case to Loveland for machining, and now says he's waiting on a clutch part. This is ridiculous, I have contacted AAMCO HQ and am awaiting follow up. I'm just hoping he has the confidence and skill set to put the car back together. We hope for the sake of Russ's reputation that he can provide a solution and get us our car back in working order, and we don't have to go to small claims court as that may be the next stop. Been waiting patiently. -alex

WARNING! DO NOT take your car to this location. They said they could replace my transmission in a week. They kept it for two months. Russ the owner lied every week on why the car wasn’t fixed. In the end, they overfilled with transmission fluid and made a mess with fluid all over the engine/undercarriage. I had leaks I had someone else fix. My steering wheel was not aligned. I was told they do not have certified mechanics. Russ the owner and Alex the shop manager are scammers. They wouldn’t show me receipts for the parts they supposedly ordered. I believe they used the same transmission. They have an F rating with BBB. I will be contacting the media to help spread the word to others. This shop should be shut down. Also, I called corporate and they did nothing!

Took my truck here to get a transmission service. Was quoted $329 over the phone for the service with OEM parts. Also needed a price for some glow plugs. Took him 2 days and me calling several times for them to give me a price and after they did they raise the price for the transmission service to $550. Over $200 more than they quoted me. Then they said that's because the parts were more expensive than they thought. But I specifically asked about OEM parts over the phone. And on top of that they wanted to charge me for eight glow plugs on a six-cylinder truck. Does that even make sense? Situation did not give me Good vibes so I took my truck somewhere else.
