Luke was able to help me out with a stuck CV stub that I or Firestone could not remove. He knew exactly what I was having issues with on my wife's Venza and said they would definitely try to help me out with getting it fixed. After visiting multiple repair shops my car was diagnosed by 2 transmission places as having a cracked fly wheel. The only problem was cost and time in which they could do the repairs as long as a 2 week delay before starting with questionable date of return. Being on workers comp, and being a single mom of 4 kids with only 1 vehicle it was important to get the van fixed, at an affordable cost yet excellent work for the safety of my kids. So I drove from Yorkville to Lisle and spoke with Stanton. He was courteous, understanding and kind throughout the entire process and they did the exam for free that day. He helped answer all my questions and if he did not know the answer he was quick to find it. Once JJ the mechanic was able to diagnose the possible problems he came out and explained what they could be. Then they planed for 2 of the issues and quoted me cost. I did not have all the money for the repair but Dennis was able to explain my options and actually helped me get financed for half the cost and the other half I had. Had there of been a courtesy vehicle to use or a rental facility that they worked with that I could have rented from at a discounted rate this would have been completely seemless. But those were not options. So I planned a rental for the following day and they obtained the parts needed, told me of other issues and were able to keep it lower than the estimated quote. I had my car back within 24hrs. I would recommend this Aamco to anyone. JJ is a great mechanic, and even though they were from out of state Stanton and Dennis went above and beyond. Thank you guys for helping keep my family safe in a vehicle we desperately need to maintain.

I would recommend this place, they were very friendly and efficient. They even drove my husband and I home because it was raining when we dropped the car off. Once the parts came in they did the job fairly quickly and everything seems to running well. We had a transmission leak fixed and had to replace transmission hoses. The only negative thing I can say is the hose itself seemed to cost a lot more then I would think a hose should cost but it seems as everything is costing more lately.

I had severe transmission leaks, I took it to Aamco to get a quote. The price was appropriate for what needed to get fixed. This location wasn’t too busy so I was able to get an appt asap the next week. The techs did an awesome job, I was able to drive around leak-free. They finished my car before the estimated waiting time.

As I was driving my check engine light appeared, at that time AAMCO was the only place in sight. I had no intention of stopping, I've always known AAMCO to be a Transmission repair shop, but I did. My experience at this location was beyond my expectations, and the quality of service provided was amazing. I value customer service, and once I walked through the door I was very impressed, the service Manager Nile took me right in with no problem. They checked my service engine light and performed a courtesy check that saved me a ton of money and from experiencing more unexpected repairs. Thanks to Mr. Nile and his team for a job well done!

Took a while to get my vehicle worked on, and service took longer than expected. However, the mechanics were courteous and understanding, and my clutch works better than it ever has. Accurate diagnosis and good work. Biggest frustration was lack of full communication on timeliness, but otherwise I would recommend.

I go there when I need car repairs..I trust these guys..it's good to have someone you trust to fix your car..they are always nice to me and do a good job on my car..one of the mechanics pointed out my front tire was bad and I should get it fixed..I appreciate that..Luke is always nice..thanks Luke and the guys for being so nice and not making comments about my messy car like other places have done..years ago I went to Firestone..the guy was really rude and made comments I didn't appreciate..I cancelled my Firestone credit card and never went back..someone once told me not to go to aamco,as they'd overcharge me a lot..They must've gone to a different location or got the name wrong..Luke doesn't overcharge me and everyone is so nice..

I have brought my vehicle to this destination multiple times now because these guys are straight shooters and diagnose and take care of the problem with your vehicle in a very timely manner with professionalism and they don't try to squeeze every dime out of your pocket. My man Luke made sure to take care of me and kept me updated with everything that was going on and I strongly suggest this place for anybody who has any issues with their car. I rate these guys 10/10 I won't bring my car anywhere else

I mostly came here to get my car A/C fixed but they convinced me to fix other thing in my car. I brought my car to all sorts of places and no one was able to fix the issues I was having. They were the only ones who called the dealership and dived in deeper to get me a solution. They also told me all these other places installed after market parts in my car. (I had no idea) So far none of the 4 lights have come back on. A bit pricey but well worth the cost to get answers you need. They are very helpful and understanding. Best place I have gone to so far. I definitely will be back if I need something!

I had a cracked tail housing in my automatic transmission. I brought it in on Wednesday afternoon and work was completed and I picked the vehicle on Thursday afternoon. I also had them do a oil change. I thought the price for the transmission work was reasonable but thought the oil change was a bit pricey. The staff was extremely friendly and I appreciated the fast turnaround on getting my vehicle back. I would recommend this company for any transmission work.

Luke and the technician in today were very professional, kind, honest, and knowledgeable! Great customer service, kept me updated on everything. I thought my transmission was fried and I had mentally accepted that the next stop for my car was the junk yard. However, they saved my car and found a fluid leak and were able to fix it for a very very reasonable price. They were super fast too and took me in last minute. Highly recommend!

Called AAMCO on Monday morning with a possible transmission issue. Luke was able to get my vehicle in within the hour. Found a had a driveshaft issue and dirty transmission fluids. Got the replacement part the next day and had my vehicle back that afternoon. My initial response was to call the dealership and so thankful they never answered my call that Monday morning. The repair charges I felt were appropriate, can only imagine what the dealership would have charged for the same repair. Kudos to this shop and for the professionalism of Luke in taking care to resolve my issue quickly.

While the circumstances deeming an interaction here are less than favorable... this shop is a great place to go for your needs. When my transmission flagged a problem just over a week ago, AAMCO was the place I chose to tow my car to, after a quick google search. Last week my friend's transmission had problems and he told me he was going to have the vehicle towed to Aamco, Lisle. I convinced him to instead go to Superior Transmission in Aurora and that it would be worth the slightly longer tow. Yes, I'm still bitter and thought I would reshare my story from long ago, hopefully as preventative medicine: "As I sit at a much better transmission shop, I found myself recalling the nightmare of AAMCO Lisle. This shop was horrible on all counts. I brought my vehicle in for what I believed to be a transmission issue. They claim to have wrong diagnosis and that I had internal parts broken that needed to be repaired through a complete transmission rebuild for over $4000. Stock, I authorized the repair. Not even six hours after having picked up the vehicle, I had the exact same catastrophic failure in an intersection leaving me stranded. The vehicle was returned and I was advise that it would require another internal repair up to $1200. I instructed them not to touch the vehicle and had it picked up by another shop. That shop advised that it did not appear that the case was ever even opened on the transmission. The issue, which should have been identified by any trained mechanic immediately, was a drive shaft problem, not a transmission problem. It was a $250 repair. If getting screwed on a repair that was never needed nor completed was not bad enough, my jeep was vandalized while in their parking lot. They sent me to an auto body shop across the street for the repair and their work was equally shoddy. If there wasn’t a single remaining transmission mechanic in the world besides this place, I would still not advise anybody to bring their vehicle there."

Top notch services and fair prices. Luke is very knowledgeable and honest. I've had a lot of work done there over the years on several vehicles including a 2004 Chevy Silverado and a newer Acura. UPDATE: New owners/new management. Luke is no longer there. Prices are grossly inflated and management is incompetent. Take your car somewhere else.
