The guys at AAMCO are so great. The customer service is second to none. Our family has been using them for years. their prices are always competitive and their work is solid. So when our Tahoe’s transmission went out, there was no question who you were going to use. But did my due diligence and priced the job around and they were comparable or cheaper than shops around town. We know we can trust their work and we’ve gotten the same feedback from others that have also used their services. The turnaround time on the new transmission was incredibly fast and as expected the vehicle drives like new.

I’m not sure who left all the shitty reviews cause they’re dead wrong, this place was communicative the entire process, and they only took 3 days!!! Everyone else was wanting to hit me over the head for over $1000 but they were well under that and faithful to their word. I’m forever bringing any transmission work to them off of Harvard, the technician on my vehicle was Cody.

Daniel and Shawn are top notch at customer service needs. I pull a 30' cruiser boat with my Dodge Cummins Diesel. I have a 2001 F250 with a 6 speed manual transmission. My truck has now been in the shop for 8 weeks getting the transmission rebuilt. They have ordered the wrong parts multiple times, and after expressing my frustration after 7 weeks I was told the guy building my transmission was not "proficient" at building manual transmissions. I have called every Tuesday and Friday for 5 weeks and been told it will be ready Monday/ Tuesday, or Thurday/ Friday. I will never take another vehicle there and recommend anyone to find a different transmission shop.

There may be an upgrade to my rating but at the moment I'm not happy. I was told that my new transmission would be delivered on Friday and my car would be ready today. I called and was informed the transmission was just delivered and car would not be ready until close of business Tuesday. A call for this delay would have been appreciated as plans are made and changes are complicated. I will continue when I get my car back.

My son was in Tulsa for Christmas and he couldn’t get his car in gear (manual transmission). He had just replaced the clutch in his home town, so we towed it to AAMCO. They found a simple fix…a broken clip attaching the gear shift, promptly fixed it and his car was good to go! They could have told us anything, but they were honest and quick to make a simple repair. Travel nurse here, arrived to Tulsa on my four month contract and I suddenly lost all my breaks approaching a stop light. Had vehicle towed to dealership and was given an astronomical quote!!
