Honest and fair. I've taken two different cars there, and on one, they told me it would be cheaper to do the work myself without charging for the inspection. The other was suspension work, and the quoted price was what I paid. They finished it in the time frame they promised. 2 year warranty on repairs too.

My car broke down in front of this business on my way back home out of state. I had my entire family in the car and was in a bind as I didnt know where I was and had to get home for an important obligation. The manager/owner of the shop was extremely busy but took time from what he was doing to help me. With my need to be back home that day, they were not able to help me so quickly, but he proceeded to personally call multiple local shops to find me someone that could help. He was kind to me and my family and showed compassion for our situation. Although he couldn't fix my car in that moment, I could not help to think how much I would trust him with my car....if he was willing to help me when there was nothing in it for him, how much more would he care if I was an actual customer. Thank you for your kindness and help that day when i was in such a bind.

Excellent and super-fast service. Brought my car in late Friday, and by the following Monday they finish troubleshooting my 1966 Ford Mustang's electrical system and repaired it. Amazing! The connectors between the the alternator and battery wires were the culprit. After driving my car and returning home, the battery discharged roughly 0.5 V. Not making a good connection. I had to charge the battery every 2-3 days. Over more than a year, my mechanic twice tried to determine the cause of the electrical problem, but was unsuccessful. Took my car back a week later for exhaust fumes entering the cabin. They identified the source. Coming through the drain holes in the bottom of the trunk and then via the back seat. Also, the tailpipes needed to be extended a few inches below and beyond the rear valance.

I’ve had them do work in the past and they were ok. Decently quick and reasonably priced but this time they charged me $165 for diagnostic work just to tell me they don’t know what’s wrong with it and to take it to a dealership. Apparently it’s expensive to pay for no solution or work done.

I was expecting more of them given their reputation as "good people." ........ *** The previous review that I have now erased due to being contacted by the co-owner who explained some things that I didn't know. That changes my opinion completely. Taking the time to call and explain says a lot about the business.***

Took my car in last week because my break light was on, they discovered that my break lines was leaking and along with some other things that needed to be fixed in order for my break lines to work properly. It only took them 2 days to fix. Overall they were decently professional, very kind and went above and beyond.

I have a truck that is 25 years old & honestly have most of its original parts. Long story short, my check engine light was coming on at first intermittently and then a couple of days ago stopped & wouldn’t start. Not knowing who to call being 5months new to Pcola, I saw Able Auto & had my husband call because he speaks the language. So I had it towed, thanks to Able who can arrange that for you if needed) and 2 days later my truck is running good as new. Unbelievable!!!! There were no laundry list of other things needing to be done. They diagnosed, called to let me know, gave what it would cost & fixed it accordingly. I can honestly say, I’ve never had this type of treatment in the whole 25 years of owning my vehicle. This is definitely my go to mechanic for now on.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! Rude, didn't fix anything still charged $165 for a new diagnostic fee that was never mentioned upon me dropping it off outside the gate. They even forgot to put a part back on my car after they told me it was ready for pickup and it was a guy and two younger guys all trying to put on this one part. See photo below for it taking 3 people to put on the part they forgot to put back on. I did not go in for a drivability issue and was still charged a new diagnostic fee. They charged me for just looking at it and didn't fix a single thing. They called me a few times quoting me more and more to fix totaling over $3,000. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I ended up taking to a more trust worthy mechanic and he fixed all my ACTUAL issues for a significantly LOWER price.

Why do things fall apart when you’re far from home? Although I can’t answer that, I can say that even if I was home, I couldn’t have found a better auto shop than Able Auto Repair! From the early morning call of, “Help, my car is overheating and leaking fluid, but I need to be home in 2 days,” to picking up the car the following morning, this shop was up to the challenge. Good communication from the office, knowledgeable and friendly repair technicians combined with honest and fair pricing turned what could have been a nightmare into a dream come true.
