I made an appointment to get my car checked. Couldn't make the appointment because I was unable to start my car. They never called me to follow up to see if I needed to reschedule or anything. Most mechanics aren't reliable anyway. *Update to Owners response* You had my information to call me. My phone does not accept automated text I don't know. I will change the review to 3 stars for your response.

Great work and more importantly HONEST! I took one of my trucks in this morning for a coolant leak. I got a call back about an hour later telling me what needed to be done. John who was working with me was honest and upfront with the cost and the possible cost if they find something else. He laid it out, it could be $664 or $1,300. He said that their is a 50% chance that it could be $1,300 but he was hoping it would be $664. They called me back about 5 hours later to tell me that the truck was about finished and it would be $664. I am so pleased, I was prepared to pay $1,300 if need be. The could have easily charged me the $1,300 I would not have know any better but they were honest and fixed the problem for the $664. I own Peak Appliance, I own 7 trucks and a couple of personal trucks and a BMW, they will get all of my business for my personal and business service moving forward. I have never experienced a shop quite like this. I know they exist, but I have always dealt with mechanics who want to schedule you and get you in and out as soon as possible. Curtis, John, and the rest of the team are willing to take the time needed to discuss things with you. The first time I called I was on the phone for probably 10 minutes while my concerns were heard and everything was explained to me. Everyone else had given me a quick short answer then hung up. They are a very honest business and I feel confident taking my vehicle to them for any concern, big or small.

I came in for an oil leak that started from a cross-threaded oil plug and he explained how he could repair the threading for 15% of the cost of a new oil pan. All around great service, great price, great customer service. I'm going to use him 100% for all of my cars now.

These guys are truly wonderful! Curtis and John particularly! The did a great job fixing my car. As a woman it can be intimidating asking for help because you don't know if you're going to be treated with respect but these guys are top of the line! They gave me advice as if I was their daughter talking about what they would do for their car. The repair took a little longer than expected and I didn't have time to get all the way up there and back down before work so they drove my car down to me. This shop is top of the line, the people are top notch! We drive pas a lot of other auto places to go use these guys! If there was 6 stars I'd give them that! Honorable, trustworthy, great mechanics and wonderful humans!

This place saved my old car. I recently discovered my odometer had broken and none of the mile based parts were never replaced. This obviously led to the car being on its last legs as no one had given it proper maintenance or thought to check anything under the hood. These guys did. And it saved us from getting another new car. They have been so flexible and reasonable with their pricing and have very knowledgeable staff. They will give you an online report detailed with part pricing, and rate each issue by immediate priority to less. I have been so impressed with this repair place that I will continue giving them my business. They will work with you to see that the work needed is done even over a period of months for installments on repairs.

I’ve been taking my car here for over a year. I love the work they do, the services they provide, and it’s wonderful working with a local business. I had an issue with my door light randomly coming on. Took it in a few times to the dealership, but nothing. Academy Car Care was able to find it and fix it. Another time I saw my trunk wasn’t closing correctly. They just adjusted it, with no charge. They also have built up trust both ways. I dropped off my car, they did the inspection but needed to order a part. I needed to use my car for work before the part arrived. I expected to pay a portion before picking up my car, but instead they said I could just pay the whole amount when the work was finished. They also dropped off my car at a tire company for me. Very kind, personable, and professional.

After my mechanic retired, I wasn't sure where to go when I needed work done. Academy Car Care came highly recommended and has not disappointed! Their prices are honest and fair, and they have come in slightly under their original estimates. They have told me which repairs need to be done right away and which can be budgeted for before needing to be done, and provide realistic time estimates of when my car can be looked at and/or repaired. They have been extremely helpful when it comes to questions I have, friendly when I have been in the shop, provided me with a ride home when I've needed to leave my car overnight, and have helped coordinate towing services when I wasn't sure my car could (or should) be driven to the shop. I feel safe in their shop, respected by the men on their staff, and, even as a new customer, trust their work and recommendations. I very highly recommend them!

I had an awesome experience with this shop. The guy at the front desk was straightforward, treated me respectfully, and got me in for an appointment within a week. I dropped off my car on the appointment day and picked it up 7 hrs later. Also, the price he quoted me at was what I paid after the repair. P.S. they aren't pushy about other fixes needed on your car, they essentially make suggestions without any pressure.

My wife's car was making a loud weird noise. I dropped it off so they could figure out what was wrong with it. They quickly found the problem and let me know how much it would be to fix it. As always, they did a great job! This shop has integrity. There are never any surprises about how much something is going to cost to get fixed. Respectful, honest, and generous. Highly recommend. My car's transmission was having some intermittent problems, so I scheduled an appointment to take it in for a diagnostic. Ironically, my car's issue disappeared for the week of the appointment, so the issue couldn't be reproduced for the diagnostic. They originally quoted me $170 for the diagnostic, but since the issue wasn't reproducible at the time, they charged me $0! They even topped off my oil and coolant levels! Even so, they let me know about the quality of the transmission and the fluid. When asked about a transmission service to replace the fluid, they we very honest and let me know that the new fluid could damage my old (1999) transmission, and that it'd be risky. That level of honesty is very much appreciated. While they recommended other routine services, they weren't pushy. This is a great place to go if you need car repairs!

Great service at a reasonable price. Academy Car Care & Repair is the only place I trust with my vehicle. I have never felt ripped off or that they were just pushing for a ticket markup. They were honest and even told me not to spend unnecessarily on an alignment I thought my truck needed when all it really needed was the tires balanced. I highly recommend everyone who asks for an auto repair or maintenance referral to Academy Car Care!

I couldn't recommend using academy car care and repair enough. Honest, dependable and trustworthy. They work hard and are good at what they do. Truly, you won't find a car shop in springs who are as honest and trustworthy as they are. Taking your car here is well worth the money. They will actually fix what's wrong, and tell you what can wait if you're low on funds. I've been taking my vehicle's here for over 10 years now, I have literally never had not one issue with them. I won't take my cars anywhere else!

Do NOT trust this shop - I had an extremely disappointing experience with Academy Car Care. They serviced my Nissan Murano’s transmission but used non-genuine transmission fluid, even though my vehicle’s owner’s manual specifically requires genuine Nissan transmission fluid. I later took my car to Woodmen Nissan for a routine oil change, and that is when the dealership discovered the incorrect fluid. Because of Academy Car Care’s mistake, my entire transmission fluid had to be flushed, and I was forced to miss work and had to change my plans to drive across the country due to the risk of serious transmission damage. When I confronted Academy Car Care with this information from Nissan, they denied responsibility, offered no remedy, no refund, and showed zero compassion or accountability. Not even an attempt to make it right. To make matters worse, their prices were nearly as expensive as the dealership, which makes this even more frustrating. I should have just taken my car directly to Nissan in the first place. This shop is unprofessional, dismissive, and not trustworthy. I strongly discourage anyone from supporting this business.
