There are technicians and there are mechanics. Shy is a mechanic in my eyes. I had an issue with my Audi that the dealer couldn’t diagnose for a week. Shy ran comprehensive diagnostics and had the issue fixed in one day. I highly recommend him for his knowledge and also expeditious service. I will not go to any other mechanic at this point.

A couple years ago, my 2003 Explorer broke down before I was about to go on a family trip. Shy let me have the vehicle parked at the ACE automotive for the week I was gone and didn’t make me pay for it being parked there. He was straight forward and honest about my situation and I was able to make the decision to buy my current vehicle, a Honda Accord. The prices are fair, Shy and Samantha are honest and kind, and I always feel confident bringing my car here. Also, as a woman bringing my car to a mechanic, it is so nice to be communicated to clearly and respectfully. I’ve been to other mechanics where I’ve been given a lot of word salad and have been financially taken advantage of. You will get clear and honest communication here!

I can’t say enough good things about ACE Automotive and Shy! I have an Audi Q8 Etron that developed a thump sound from the rear left, and Audi’s tech identified a leaking rear driver’s side shock, quoting a staggering $2,300 for the repair. Since the warranty had expired, we turned to Shy at ACE Automotive, who quoted us a much more reasonable $1,400 for the same work. It was under warranty and we took it to the dealership multiple times and they were not able to identify the problem. This place has not been the best quality lately. I used to love it here. I felt they were honest when finding something needing repairs. Usually, reasonably priced. However, they can be rough and break things. The cost of that is on the client to replace. I understand having a difficult day. But the rudeness from some of the guys is unwarranted. They seem out of it lately.

Shy is a very honorable man. My car engine grenade d on the oil pressure failed catastrophic engine failure. I took it to his shop to get a potential diagnostic just to weigh my options. He didnt charge me for what we both already knew. Drained oil found metal in oil. Showed me it. Now im left with either paying for a new used car or gambling with a new engine paying a few grand 3 to 4 on a 25 year old car. Likely will have to scrap it.

Ace Auto made it quick and easy to replace my battery in my cargo van. A few other places turned me down because the battery is located under my driver seat, and i needed to remove a steel cargo divider behind the seat to access the battery. I braced myself for an ordeal, but Shy and the receptionist made the whole experience simple and fast! I came in at 8:15am (late for my 8am appointment) and was on my way home at 9:30am with the job done. Great service, and the price was great compared to what I faced in norCal
