My battery died on a VERY cold day. I had to call a tow truck for a jump and I was scared to turn off my car. I did a Google search and found Advanced Auto Parts had an add saying they installed batteries for free. I called the store to clarify and see if I could make an appointment and I talked to Doug. He was so kind and helpful and said he’d be happy to put my battery in that afternoon whenever I got there. I showed up and he was awesome! Got me a battery and installed it super quick. Doug has always been helpful in this store. Sometimes I feel he can sense that I am in a serious need of help. He is very resourceful, and has more than once saved me from making mechanically fatal mistakes that can irriversibly damage my car. He attentively listens to my situation and gives life saving insights into what I need. This is very important to me because I am a big fan and active participant of the DO IT YOURSELF crowd. I am not sure, but I want to say this must be part of the customer service culture in this store. Many times other associates in the store would have their input as well in the effort to find me a working solution to my problem. We were driving on I-80 when both of our headlights went off. We still had many miles to cover as we were returning home to Michigan. So needless to say, we were in a desperate situation. We stopped at this Advance Auto Parts almost at the closing time. And what Griffin did for us was more than exceptional. He spent more than an hour outside in the cold helping us to diagnose the issue and find the fix. He also stayed way after store closing time to make sure we were good to go. In a station like this, you need to have someone helping you who knows what they are doing. Griffin did exactly that for us. Not only did he help with recommendation of wipers, he also helped with instillation. I had mentioned that her headlights lights seemed dim and he was able to replace the lightbulbs for us.
