What an awful experience... I am not even going to get into all of the details about how screwed up my experience with these folks was, but I can tell you that I spent over $10,000.00 on a job that never should have cost that much, but I live states away and had left my vehicle there are rented a car to get home so I didn't have much of a choice. The transmission that they replaced failed twice, they left the driveshaft bolts loose, it was missing fasteners from the transmission pan, and in the end I couldn't even trust that the vehicle would make it home so I picked it up on a trailer and hauled it home that way. The truck was there for over a year and a half in total, and in the end I just bought a new truck and gave the one that they repaired away to one of my employees because they did such terrible work that I couldn't in good conscience sell the truck knowing the poor quality of workmanship done by Advanced Auto Repair & Transmission, and the fact that it was surely going to have ongoing problems related to the work that they did. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. I would never under any circumstances recommend this shop to anyone. There was also clear evidence that they were personally driving and using my truck. The mileage was increased from drop off, and they had left their personal affects in the vehicle. The first time I picked it up they had left some clothes in the back seat and some Snap On Tools that I had in the center console had been stolen. The next time I picked it up after it was towed in to warranty the first transmission that failed just hundreds of miles after the repair, there were little fliers from Mexican clubs and parties as if someone had been using the vehicle to get around to these places. Completely unethical and illegal practices going on at this place.

Steve was great, I broke down the night before and he got me towed right away. This morning he brought people in from other cars and got me back on the road in time for my appointment. I was worried about trusting him but he brought me inside the garage and showed me everything, I highly recommend Steve and this repair shop!

Add fully bolt-on cross members four pieces to bolt onto the suspension and a strut bar he said $200 to do it all then he said it's 3.5% interest for a credit cards. The cost came up to $275 so obviously he lied to his customer and charged me extra trying to act like taxes and 3.5% interest is going to equal $75 with tax being $20 he is definitely a liar and charged me more than what he said having said that he did seem pretty nice. Also said he had to do more work than I told him when this is a fully bolt-on kit with OEM bolts being used took almost 2 hours to do this.

I dropped my car off on a Friday for a diagnosis and was told it needed a new water pump. I made it clear this was my only car and I needed it done ASAP. The guy promised it would be done by that Monday, not the next one. I even had to rely on a friend for rides and gas just to make it work. Now it’s over a week later, and they’re trying to charge me $2,500 for a job that should’ve cost around $1,600. They’re claiming $1,800 just in labor, which is insane. One of the workers already said the car was finished days ago, but the owner wouldn’t release it or give me a price until now. This shop is completely unprofessional — poor communication, delays, and price gouging. Don’t bring your car here unless you want it held hostage and your wallet emptied.

He towed my car from my house on January 18,2023 and he’s had it till this day. He made me pay him upfront 6,000 which took me a while to get to him but once I gave it to him he said I still owed him 1,200 and that he would have it ready next month that was a year ago . Every time I call of try to talk to him he gets upset and says he’s being nice and not charging me extra but yet he won’t fix it. I just want my car back at this point I don’t care about the money I’ve lost or spent . I had to buy a new car to be able to get around since haven’t gotten my car back . Horrible service and experience has me scared of taking my other car anywhere for any services

I had a very frustrating experience with Advanced Auto Service Center. At first, they were very responsive when I needed a mechanic on a Sunday night, which I appreciated. We had just moved and don’t live in El Paso anymore, so we really needed someone reliable to help us. However, after that, everything went downhill. They kept my car for an entire month, constantly changing the price and giving me different excuses. Originally, the price was $2,300, then it went up to $2,750. When my aunt went to pay the $2,750, the mechanic suddenly said the price was now $2,978. My aunt handed him her phone so I could ask why the price kept changing, and instead of giving a reasonable answer, he got mad and threw her phone back at her—completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. What made this even more frustrating is that I have a child with special needs who depends on a reliable vehicle in case of an emergency. The mechanic did not care and took his sweet time, acting like I should be grateful because, according to him, he wasn’t even charging me for everything. I don’t care about the cost—I just needed the job done right and in a reasonable time frame. Instead, I got delays, excuses, and rude behavior. I do not recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest, reliable service. The constant price changes, long wait times, and complete lack of professionalism made this one of the worst experiences I’ve had with an auto repair shop.

I want to different shop before I came here they were going to charge me $850 for the same work I did at Advanced auto service . Thank you and I’ll be your customer for life. We had trouble on the road and were given priority service to look at our car and repair it. The part needed had to be ordered and it is a time-consuming repair, but we were taken care of by the owner. He took us to get a room till the car was repaired. Stayed in touch and did what he could to help on the cost. He was personable and stayed in touched...answering any questions. Even stayed in touch as we continued down the road on our trip. Great service.

Absolutely terrible service they have had my car in this shop for over two months and all I keep hearing is “delay on parts” or “we still need to order a part” it’s truly so ridiculous that it’s taking this long to be done I’m at my end I don’t even know what to do besides leave a review as an attempt to warn others if you have the means to go ANYWHERE else pls do so do not waste your time and money at this garage the incompetence is actually insane I’m speaking to a lawyer soon to see how to get my car free from this hostage situation

🚨🚩🚩🚩ATTENTION!!! READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS!!!👀‼️🚨 Do not accept free towing if you’re gonna fix your car in this place. My car wouldn’t start and I was 5 min from this place, I called because it was the closest place and offered me free towing if I fixed my car there. I was like “ perfect! I don’t have to worry about spending on towing. “ When they took it to the shop, the first impression was that the owner of the place didn’t introduce himself, did not tell me he was gonna charge me for diagnostics of my suv, he was in a hurry and didn’t wanna speak to me. He said it would take about 3 hours to do the diagnostic and that he was gonna call me the next day in the morning to let me know what was the problem. The owner of the place called me and according to him it was the gas pump and maybe electrical problems. I was surprised because he couldn’t tell me exactly what was the problem. He quoted me $700 to fix the pump and also charged me $170 for the towing and supposedly diagnostics, I told him “but you said it was only gonna be $75 dollar for towing if I didn’t fix my car here, also you didn’t tell me you were gonna charge me for diagnostics,” and he said “yes but I did the diagnostic and had to put a liquid to check the gas pump which is $20 dollars and $75 for the diagnostic.” I for real thought that this guy is a scammer, at autozone they do it for free and for sure doesn’t take 3 hours to do it. I decided not to fix my car here because I didn’t trust him, when I got there to pick up my SUV, he wouldn’t give me my car keys according to him for security purposes until I got a towing truck from another company and made me pay those $170 dollars to let me take my SUV like if he was the owner of my vehicle and that was only for towing which to me, it’s ridiculous when I was only 5 min away from the shop and for sure he didn’t do diagnostics at all. I paid $85 dollars for towing (tow truck was another company, not the one the owner works with,) they took my suv from this place all the way to downtown to my mechanic and did diagnostics for free and was only a sensor which was $15 dollars. Guys for real, stay away from this place!!! The man from this place is only interested in getting a lot of money from you!! 🗣️🤑‼️ You will make unnecessary spending with this man and tow truck!!!! Do not trust him. ‼️ Just pay attention to the 1 star reviews before calling this place, they’re true reviews and here’s another one!!! Do not take your car to this place! Stay far away from it!!! ❌🚩🚩🚩

⚠️ PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS – SCAMMERS • THIEVES • FRAUDSTERS ⚠️ Do not bring your vehicle here under any circumstances. I brought my 2011 Mercedes-Benz C300 in on September 16 for three specific services: 1. Annual Service B 2. Replacement of front right low beam light only 3. New radio relay From the start, I made it absolutely clear to Steve that no work was to begin without my authorization. He called once to mention what was needed for the radio but couldn’t give a price, promising to call back. He never called back. After a full week of silence, I had to reach out myself—only to learn that they had already completed the maintenance without my approval. When I asked for a quote, Steve quoted an outrageous $2,595 for all three services. That immediately raised red flags. After contacting multiple reputable local shops, I confirmed that I was being severely overcharged. I instructed him to cancel everything except the maintenance, and he then quoted $1,595 just for the service—a blatant ripoff, considering the same maintenance costs $700–$800 elsewhere. He even claimed he would fix my light for free as a way to try to manipulate me to pay the higher price of $1595. Do not fall for the games, NOTHING FROM HERE IS FREE! (He never did the light of course) To make matters worse, my driver’s license/ID was stolen from my vehicle, and when I confronted Steve about it, he laughed in my face. Upon further research, I discovered that this shop has a pattern of dishonest practices, including price gouging and reported thefts. I have filed a police report, and it appears I’m not the first to do so. I ultimately ended up getting into a shouting match with Steve to negotiate a reasonable price. He eventually ended up discounting me a significant amount once he realized I couldn’t be taken advantage of. I still ended up overpaying by a lot! Please—save yourself the time, stress, and money. Unless you’re looking for unauthorized work, inflated prices, stolen property, and zero integrity, stay far away from this business.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! The mechanic, Steve, seems very irresponsible with people's cars. My car needed the wheel bearing & axel done, but all of a sudden my cluster needs to be fixed? I already paid over $1k and my cluster was working before I brought my car into this shop. It was 10/25/2025 when I brought my car in. I have a feeling I'm being ripped off by Steve because my car has NEVER had problems with my cluster. Not to mention, he DOES NOT tell you the direct price. He needs to be more direct and say the total amount instead of just the service fee "and parts." Do better to make customers feel secure, this economy is bad as it is. Just a total waste of money. Would not recommend their services. ⚠️ UPDATE as of 11/7/2025: Now Steve is threatening me that he'll take out the warranty for my car over my 1 star review? I wonder did he threaten the other customers that put 1 star reviews. I bet 100% he didn't even put the work he did under warranty. Very unprofessional and childish and hanging up not resolving the issue. If he's willing to go that far, we'll see him in court. If you don't want bad reviews, do your job right, plain and simple!

This mechanic shop is a nightmare. Spare yourself the headache. I had my engine rebuilt and painted. When I got it back it was still leaking oil. I took it back 4 times and it’s still leaking oil.

10/10 experience! Everyone was so kind and very helpful. I first went to get my A/C checked and also needed air in my tires. I actually went back three times for air, and each time they were very kind about helping me. When they noticed I kept coming back, they went ahead and checked the tires and let me know that the sensors were actually the issue. I really appreciated them taking the time to look into it. Because of how honest and helpful they were, I trusted them enough to come back about my A/C. I bought the product and brought it in, and they showed me as they installed it and explained everything they were doing. They even told me to come back if I had any problems. Unfortunately, I did have to return because it turns out there’s a big leak in my A/C tube. Even then, they explained the situation clearly and told me the best options I had. I definitely recommend them. They are honest, very helpful, and try to give you the best solution possible. Definitely recommend!
