Very nice guy, kind and professional. My only complaint is that my car didnt pass inspection after buying it from carvana who already said they inspected it. He failed it for a little dry rot slit on the tire. It was my birthday so was hoping he would give me a break.. But thats not his job lol thats why i gave a 4, only because it was my birthday and had to then take my car to get a new tire and bring back to him to look at it again. But he was very friendly and informative and directed me right to the tire place nearby. I called to see if he could inspect it in less time than pep boys which was a minimum of 4 hours and he told me to bring it in and was finished in exactly 2 hours. He called me when finished. He explained thoroughly the details regarding the failed inspection, and any other questions asked. Satisfied with the service and would go back again

Jim and the team are great! I learn something every time I take my car there. They take pride in the work they do and Jim always explains things in great detail to ensure I understand exactly what he worked on and what I'll need to maintain everything. I'm really grateful for them, good mechanics are hard to find and they take the cake!

Jim & his assistant was able to take us last minute on a Saturday to replace our car's Starter. We were traveling through Frederick, so while our car was being fixed, we toured Historic Frederick downtown (only a mile away). They did a great job and Jim was very informative. They even found we were a quart low on oil. Thanks to them, we were back on the road that evening.

I have definitely found a new mechanic!!! The owner is very nice and HONEST!! They've done great work and we've had NO problems or complaints. The entire staff is GREAT! Noah, a mechanic there, has worked on a few of our vehicles and we've been 100% satisfied. They're willing to take the time to answer questions and explain everything. The prices are reasonable. They are clearly not out to gouge customers by finding ways to charge aa much as they possibly can. (My brake job ended up being less than the estimate.) They've always gotten our vehicles in on time and were done when expected. I trust them completely with all our vehicles. I have definitely found our new mechanic!!

Small shop with responsive team members. I went in for state inspection. They were quick and gave recommendation on getting a lens treatment to help with visibility at night. There is also a small waiting area with a couch, tv, and toys for young kids. I appreciate them squeezing me in two hours before closing. I will be back for more service!

I was very impressed by the friendliness and work they did with my car. The prices are reasonable and the owner is straight with what it will cost and if something else comes up he lets you know and decide what to do. I will be going back soon for my brake pads. Two thumbs up 04/19/2024 I went to Advanced to have my brake pads done. Again, they out did themselves with hospitality, cost and a great job. Do yourself a favor go see them, they are fair and do t do any of that sales pitch to buy what you don’t need yet. They will let you know if they see anything so you can be prepared for the future which is always a good thing for me. Five star rating in my experience.

I recently took my car to Advanced Automotive Repair for a check engine light issue. Jim and his team worked quickly and efficiently. My check engine light came back on a few times and each time they were able to fix the issue. It turned out to be a sensor that was malfunctioning and causing other issues. I highly recommend them. They are honest and kind and Jim explains each procedure, the cost, and why it was needed. I did not feel like they were trying to upsell me or push me into unneeded repairs.

I would give less than 1 star if possible. I was told by the owner that it would be a 1 or 2 day fix and cost $1200. It ended up taking almost 2 weeks and costing $2000 plus. I had to show up and wait for my car one day to get it back. They were extremely rude during the process. Then, when I did get the car back, it had a new problem and wouldn't start properly. He said that it wasnt his problem, and demanded the $2000 in cash, saying he wouldn't work on the car anymore to fix the new problem (wouldn't start properly). When I asked why cash, he said "because I said so". Apparently he couldn't get the card machine to work?? I then brought it to another mechanic who is much better than this one, where they confirmed that Advanced Auto's work was done sloppily and that they had hooked things up wrong, causing the new issue. The new mechanic fixed Advanced Autos mistake for $200. I recommend avoiding this place and giving your business to a reputable & professional mechanic.

He called me halfway through the service to let me know that they were still working on it because it was getting dark out, which was so considerate.
