Since moving back to Maryland in 2016, we have regularly had both of our vehicles serviced here: a 2004 Prius (with over 200,000 miles on it) & a 2018 RAV4 (We are the original owners of both.) The service staff is as excellent as any I have seen in other Toyota dealerships; and the quality of service provided exceeds anything we have seen from dealerships of the traditional US auto manufacturers. We fully expect the RAV4 to last as long as the Prius. And with a new main battery pack, the Prius is probably good for another 200,000 miles!

I’ve dealt with this place once in the past when they were on the golden mile and swore I’d never go back. Insurance wanted a Toyota opinion and they happened to be the closest dealer. Between the rude smart @ss remarks from the service Advisor when I called in and their inability to listen to my question today I’m done for good. I would highly recommend finding another place to purchase or have work done. Two separate people today had attitudes and smart mouths when I was simply asking them for help. One received an incorrect message and called me back with an attitude the other wouldn’t listen to what I was asking him to do and kept talking over me telling me things I already knew. I will steer every person I can away from this place at all cost! Save your money and go somewhere else.

There was a tear in my moulding near the door. They said it wadn't from fair wear but damaged possibly by a seat belt. I told them I always close my door before fastening my seat belt. The car is spotless a 2020 Camry LE only 2 years old with 2941 miles on.it They denied my claim and said it would cost $408 to repair I will never buy another Toyota!

Brought a new car in for the 5k service. Auto tech got grease all inside of the car (didn’t bag the seat). Interior door panel and seat had grease set in. Told the service agent about it who didn’t bother apologizing but brought the tech out to look at it who shrugged. They put minimal effort into cleaning it. Service agent said if we weren’t happy we could bring it in for a detail, which we did. After bringing it in for a detail the car still has all the same grease/dirt spots as prior to bringing it in, which leads me to believe they either didn’t bother detailing it or did a terrible job, as it wasn’t vacuumed or glass cleaned at minimum. Do not use this dealership for Toyota service. Drive 45 mins to another if you have to

Once again dealing with poor service and same recall concerning the fuel pump on my 2019 sienna that was repaired back in 2021 and 2022 About to get this car Repo tired of dealing with same issue each year Toyota in both locations Rockville and Frederick, MD have really dissapointed me with this car!!! 2025 Update: I purchased this lemon car at this Locatiom, have been dealing with them and Toyota Brand Engagement to get my 2019 Sienna Fuel Pump issues resolved although it is under a customer support program they still denying to cover my car repairs, taking this case to legally been resolved since I been patient enough to have TOYOTA aknowledge their manufacture issues DO NOT TRUST this dealer nor their Service dept. Nor Toyota Brand Engagement they will keep tossing the ball to each other and no one takes accountability. In 2024 I was able to drive my car less than two months in the entire year, because the rest of the year it was constantly towed and been repaired for it's fuel pump issues. Now I collected enough evidence to go after them.

I bought 2 vehicles from them and have had my service performed there since 2015. This is the first time I have not been satisfied. I had a warranty repair on a starter for the Corolla and it was replaced satisfactorily; however, they claimed that my battery needed to be replaced also because it only had 68 out of 640 cranking amps. This was going to be $200. I told them that it had just been replaced in August of last year by a local car repair and they said "well, it might not start when you pick it up and it looks like it's aftermarket". It was a Die Hard battery that have been around for decades! Anyway, I picked the car up, it started fine (had not had a previous hard time starting with a low battery) and I took it to the place that replaced it. It had 504 out of 640 cranking amps. I feel that the someone at Darcars was not being honest with me (service rep and/or the technician) and I will no longer be taking my business or buying a new car from them.

If you ever order parts here. Never leave this place without checking your parts. I bought a seatbelt and didn't check before leaving days later. I was about to install it, and for my surprise, the seatbelt didn't retract or pull. I thought it was because it wasn't connected to power. So I connected and it didn't work . I did everything as the installation instructions said, and nothing. I took it back to the dealer, and guess what they said because I installed the seatbelt is my and they can't replace it . So they blamed that I broke it when, in reality they handled to me broken. They need to check parts before leaving because you trust a dealer to get quality parts and 250$ to get a broken parts that's not good

Amazing customer service! I just moved back to the area, and it was my first time bringing my new Camry to get serviced in Maryland. John Hallman helped me out and he was so kind. I had my 10 month old with me, and she was being extra fussy in her stroller. I didn’t realize where I was supposed to park for service, so I just parked in a regular spot. But John kindly offered to move my car for me, knowing that getting a baby in and out of a car seat isn’t fun! The oil change was fairly quick, and once it was done, he found me in the waiting area. He saw that I had my baby sleeping in my arms, so he very quietly brought the paperwork to me to sign so I wouldn’t have to get up. And then he told me to stay as long as I needed for my baby to finish napping. Running errands with an infant isn’t easy, but John made my day! He was so kind and accommodating and truly made the experience great. :)

Awful awful awful!!! The only reason we took our Tacoma in was to get a recall part fixed, a 80k mile tuneup, and the blind spot indicator not working. The guys at the front desk are soo rude with how they speak and handle customers. They’ll actively mock you to other customers while you’re standing right there. The guys in the garage are wayyyy too overbooked so the work is shotty as best. They can’t even take the time to fill/ check tire pressure! I left the shop with one tire @ 40, one @ 23, and 2 @ 31. Also, they said they couldn’t replicate the blind spot indicator issue, but that’s because they never even bothered to turn it on………. I overpaid and was just over it all. I’ll be going to RIVERSIDE TIRE WORLD from now for all my truck needs - that’s my usual place anyways

I had purchased a Toyota care plan so had to use this service station until that ran out. Thank goodness it has run out because the customer service as well as how they treat your car is appalling. The first few times I was like maybe they were having a bad day, but with every time I have gone back and just had rude office workers one after another. Additionally it is routinely taking them 1hour and 45 minutes to do an oil change. I wouldn’t trust the work either. I have had a slow leak which I talked to them about and asked to check, yet every time they come out and say the tires are perfect despite the air pressure being significantly lower on one tire and me saying something. This past time, they also put the wrong sticker on the car saying the mileage to come back. These things wouldn’t be a big deal if the staff was at least nice instead of rude and demeaning. Go elsewhere.

Dar Car Toyota service center in Frederick is one of those places where you really want to stay away from. I had a 2019 Highlander which had radio problem and they found it to be acceptable but Fitzgerald Toyota in Gaithersburg spent the time to diagonose the situation and found out that the media center needed a software update and fixed the lingering problem. Forward to 7 years, we just purchased a Platinum Highlander which has the same issue. I spent almost 2 hours to hear the same lame excuse that the radio is functioning okay depite the fact that we had multiple video as evidence. Basically they said if I cant hear it then its okay - We are currently working with Toyota to have it resolved. On a separate note - to the service manager of this lame center. If the only excuse you have not to recognize the problem is to convice Toyota that perhaps where the vehicle is driven is in a rural area - if you were depending on that as a get out of jail card - then perhaps something is going on in your head and what does that says about your leadership.

I decided to try Darcars Toyota in Frederick MD for a change. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. After they finished working on my vehicle, they didn't check the air pressure or clean the car - had to ask for those extras. Their courtesy vehicle policy is strict, too - only within 5 miles. Pickup was a hassle, no walkthrough on what was done or recommended. Not what I expected, especially compared to other dealerships I've used. If you're considering service here, I'd say try Fitzgerald or any other Toyota service center - you'll likely have a better experience than at Darcars Toyota of Frederick.

Good management rewards customer service that establishes positive impressions. Subtitle: Some good people at Toyota of Frederick helped me get to the funeral! Traveling from South Carolina to Westminster MD for my Aunt’s funeral. Arrive hotel in Frederick late evening. Noticed a nail in my tire and low air pressure light. If I just put on the spare, no problem. Well...I just bought this 2017 Tundra (used) and it turns out, I have a jack but the jack tool pouch is missing! So, even AAA can’t help because I can’t access the spare tire without the tools! I am stuck! Get up early and am lucky to find ‘enough’ air left in the tire to limp 5 miles to Toyota of Frederick and sit outside the service bay until they open at 7am. Thinking I will miss the funeral at 10am, I am greeted by John ‘Pappy’ Hallman and Lindsey ‘The Snake” and asked if I have an appointment. Of course I do not. I explain my predicament and ‘ol John assured me that even though the techs don’t arrive until 8, he would find the first one in and get me on my way to Westminster in time for the funeral. Man of his word! John and Lindsey are the type of customer-facing staff any service or retail operation must have to stay in business and thrive. I thank them both for helping me out when in a tough spot. Management: show appreciation for them.
