This place charged me for a part that I didn't need and then couldn't show me a photo of the part or a video of the work done on it. Plus, they WAAAAY over charged. These people are dishonest and were not able to fix my vehicle, but still charged me $636 for their work that left my check engine light on.

I just went to Alexander's and Brad was very ethical. He actually sent me away telling me my car's "problem" was nothing to worry about. He was honest and didn't try to take advantage of me whatsoever. I'll be going to Brad again whenever my car needs service.

We don’t and won’t go anywhere else! Service is always excellent, they get you in ASAP, keep you updated and the prices are reasonable and they aren’t trying to get over. Typically saving anywhere from $200++. Thanks for saving my car and bank!

Great friendly service. Had a complicated issue with my car, but the crew was very patient and worked with me throughout the entire thing. I feel I got out of it all rather quickly all things considered, and for a great deal too.

Went in a few months back had my water pump replaced, they called and suggested a new serpentine belt, I went ahead and agreed to have the belt changed, and have had nothing but problems since then. The belt chirps constantly, the car SHUTS OFF because the belt slips, not to mention said belt wasn't put on right because parts of my heating and air system that worked BEFORE I took it in to this station now do not work. I will likely go in to deal with another two day wait to get my car back and probably be charged even though these parts are under warranty so they can fix this issue, that had it been done properly the first time would not have lead to me even having to come back in. We will see if they even accept the receipt after I had to remind the gentleman to ADD the serpentine belt to the receipt because it was supposed to be under warranty.

It was the best tow experience I've ever had $4 a mile flat rate no hook-up fee I would highly recommend them to anybody in a pinch and they let me in my wife ride with their driver there's no smoking in their vehicles over but given the quality of service it's a sacrifice you should be willing to make

I didn't even make it past the phone call. I just got off the phone with the girl at the front desk. I asked her for a quote on an oil change. Without asking me what type of vehicle I have she just said ' a full synthetic oil change would be $64." I asked her how she knows what the price is without knowing how many quarts my vehicle takes and she says " that's for 5 quarts and any additional quarts would be charged. " I then asked her to give me a specific price based on how many quarts MY vehicle takes and she said "most vehicles take five", which is NOT true... if you know anything about cars. So then I asked if she would tell me how many quarts mine will take and what the cost is and she told me in a very aggravated tone that she didn't have time to look it up...still having no clue what kind of vehicle I drive. I have never in 40 years had anyone not ask the make and model of a vehicle to find out what it takes and give a proper quote, let a lone be told they don't have time !! If you can't even get past the front desk, imagine how they run the rest of their business.

This was my first visit to Alexander's. My son took my car to them on 12/19. On 12/20 I was contacted about the part I needed. With professional opinion, I decided on the used part. 3-4 business days for delivery. Most likely 12/26. I had to get a rental car on 12/19. On 12/26 no part . On 12/27 I'm contacted and told that the part was sent to the wrong address, maybe it would be here 12/28. Nothing on 12/28. I get off work at 2pm on 12/31 and call them because I haven't heard from them. The part was there..... This whole procedure was very stressful. They were aware of how upset I was and couldn't call but let me wonder all day if the part came. When I suggested some type of compensation for the delay due to the wrong address issue, I was told that is to be expected with used parts. No, I really don't think that's right. It was so cavalier to them, while it was costing me more rental fees by the day. My experience was tense, upsetting and tearful. Will not go back and cannot recommend them to anyone at this time.

Mark is amazing! I don't even know where to start! We found a vehicle he had for sale on Craigslist, and made contact. We had a 3 hour drive with kids to get to him, and had to book a hotel. He held the car for us to get everything coordinated. Helped us find a nice hotel in a great area! And stayed in touch to make sure we made it ok. He had the vehicle ready for us to look at and everything went smooth! He even got me in touch with a mechanic to help with our daughters car! Then stayed in touch to make sure we made it back to Virginia safe! I 100% recommend this place, and will do business with Mark again!

Horrible customer service. Also, refused to have my mechanic look at the car before buying. The guy was barely pay attention, kept try to let me feel inferior and rushed me into making a decision about the car. I left with no business, Thank God 🙏🏻 And I recommend you do the same. Your money will buy you better deals in a decent place.

My teenage son’s car broke down in the evening in Clemmons. We live in Greensboro. I called Alexander Auto when they opened the next morning because they were closest to where we left the car. They towed the car, fixed the issue and gave me a great deal! They were very professional and easy to work with. As a female, dealing with car repair shops is intimidating. This experience was excellent! Thank you Alexander Auto!!

I have to write the most honest review even though it hurts me to disparage small business especially in today's economy. My husband was returning home from delivering supplies and helping in the mountains of NC due to the devastation from Hurricane Helene. He made his way to Black Mountain/Swannanoa/Asheville and a charging system failure light came on. Not having anywhere to stop in Black Mountain he pushed the truck as far as he could until he could get to civilization for help. He made it to Clemmons and broke down on the side of 40 right before the exit to Alexanders. My husband a mechanic by trade knew it was either the alternator or battery. Being in an unfamiliar place, tired and hungry he was at the mercy of Alexanders. After calling around I found a tow company by the name of Parkway Wrecker Service based out of Winston Salem. I spoke to the dispatcher who quickly dispatched a tow truck and cried tears of joy because I just wanted my husband home. I was quoted over a hundred dollars for the tow. When the wrecker arrived they quickly determined it was indeed the alternator. When they dropped the truck they told my husband there would be no charge. That he had sacrificed his time and money in going to help total strangers for days and it was the least he could do. The truck was pulled into the bay where it took less than five mins and a few screws to pull the bad alternator out and put in the new one. My husband went to pay and he was told it would be $627.00!! Again, being a mechanic my husband was flabbergasted. I have even called around today to get estimates and they were in the $350-$400 range in Raleigh which is where he was headed. He knew then and there that he was being price gouged because again, he was at his mercy because he was coming from the mountains where there were no resources and places to stop. After calling going down the road looking for help his truck finally died in Clemmons. I am super disappointed at the good v evil. I didn't expect a free tow nor did I expect free repairs but of all times a small discount couldn't have been extended? It just feels wrong and unethical to take advantage of someone in a time of desperation. My faith is restored in the kindness of Parkway Towing, they even called to check on me as I was a nervous wreck. They went above and beyond out of their way to help my husband. I have left them a stellar review and plan on letting social media know just how fantastic Parkway Towing is. I will not let Alexander's detract from the silver lining in the day. I type this with a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart thanks to Parkway Towing. Dean at Alexander's will never get our business again.

Amazing after over a month and a half, my vehicle is fixed correctly. Thank you to Charlie's Automotive Repair, LLC. Awesome work as usual. Now for @Alexanderautomotive in Clemmons, not so much. They tried telling me my head gasket was blown, but without having the equipment to test anything. Yet still charged me. When I called to tell them what the other mechanic said it was, they stated they doubt it was the water pump, without taking it off first. Well proof is in the pudding. You even stated that you shop did not have all the right equipment to test for a blown head gasket. I placed my trust in you and your advice. I feel I should at least get $80 back. I used to use this shop years ago, I guess things have changed. Luckily I did not cause major damage to my car. Also they replaced the thermostat saying the other one was bad. Highly doubt it, considering it was the water pump and I had just replaced the thermostat literally one year prior. Do not use a shop that has the "Parts Jockey" mentality.
