They don't do free retests if you fail ($20), and only give you 15 days for that reduced price. Every other place I've gone to does free retest within at least a month. Won't be going back. They can check if your catalyst monitor isn't ready, in less than 5 minutes and advise you to come back, but would rather charge you extra.

Terrible service. They already diagnosed the problem but still try to rape my wallet. The computer report already listed very clear what problem it is but the staff( I believe he's the owner) still try to fool me and said I need add 100 dollar for another checking to confirm the problem plus another 150 dollar repair fee. After I said I am pretty sure what problem it is, please just fix it, he suddenly add another 100 dollar on the repair fee which become 250 dollar and said he just quoted me a wrong price. What??? And He is a evil owner. Don't go to this store. What he trying to do is only rape your money. I finally fix it for only 100 dollar in somewhere. They are too evil.

This is my first time getting a smog so I don't know any god smog places. This smog center is great, you are greeted by the owner with a nice smile. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes and the price is reasonably cheap compared to other smog places that I checked. I would definitely recommend this smog center to everyone.

Super satisfied. We went here for a smog test after xmass trip. Before we went in the morning, my car's battery died and did a jump start. I did not know this will fail the test untill it really did. Tam was nice enough for giving me advice to run for about 50 miles or so before the second test. (I actually ran more than 50miles to have the computer have enough data to pass). There was no extra charge and the price is very reasonable as well. (I have quoted from smog test sites in Palo Alto). Thanks for the service.

Unlike a typical smoke check station nearby a busy street with long wait time for service, this shop is located in a quiet neighborhood in Newark. I had a positive experience without having to wait for service. Tommy who owns the shop is a class act. $40 for smoke is just icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment. Didn't have to wait and the service and price were outstanding. The facility is clean and well kept and though it's surrounded by other car repair places they have their own deducted parking for customers which had plenty of space when I went. Will come again!

Extremely bad experience. They took $1000 for a major engine repair for smog test, only for the problem to appear in a week. They parked my car illegally and I got a parking ticket for it. Dishonest, extends timelines, and all I got for my $1000 is another $75 in parking fines.

Dan the owner, is most likely the best in the bay. He can work on pretty any vehicle. I've taken my 2017 Nissan GT-R to him multiple times and nothing but great things. Domestic, Euro, Import, old school, exotic, tune up, custom work, whatever he can do it.

Prepare yourself to be robbed. Aman will come up with all sort of stories to rob as much money possible from you. He would make you visit as many times possible. By any means you are better giving to official dealer for much less price and peace of mind. Completely regret on visiting this place. I spend 2000$+ and still my car was not fixed. Later had to give to another shop and got my car resolved in less than 300$.
