Excellent customer service. Very respectful and helpful. Fair pricing and was fine with letting me order parts for him to install. Definitely will go back.

Tried for 3 days to get an answer from these clowns. What we have is an “Answer Man” that won’t answer the bloody phone. I would encourage everyone to call Hargett Attumotuve, they actually take your call and are interested in earning your business. Not mention they know their stuff.

They got me in incredibly fast. The men that worked there were very nice and I have a huge amount of respect for them. I will go there first before I would even consider anywhere else. I recommend them highly to all of my friends as well as everyone in the community.

Don Freeman! Thats right, Don Freeman. Not only THE best mechanic in the Tri-State, but about the most stand up dude you'll ever meet. My family took all of our vehicles to his old shop off St. Joe for over a decade. He masterfully fixed ANYTHING that we needed on everything from my step dad's trucks, to my brothers Impala SS (including tracking down and swapping another vette motor), to all of the cars my moms driven over the years, and since I'm an idiot and love old BMW's hes done some serious (and repeated) work on all of them. Work done right. Always keeping your cost in mind. No problem talking a few times a day while working on your vehicle to keep you informed and make sure it's done right! I created this Google profile just to write this review, that's how enthused I am about this FIND! Even before I heard Don's voice on the phone today, I already like the interaction with the whole Answer Man team. Just call them after hours and listen to their outgoing voicemail message if you have any doubts. Trust me. Do yourself a favor and GIVE THESE GUYS YOUR BUSINESS! You'll be happy you did.

This is the ONLY place that I take my car to. They are fairly priced and do the repairs right. I have been taking my cars to them for years. Don’t be fooled by those other places.

Very professional and honest people. I only trust them taking care of my vehicle. They were even able to get my car fixed the same day.

I Have A 2007 Mini Cooper, 1 owner 30,000 miles.. had popping noise , A Mechanic Shop here In Madisonville Said it was Tie Rod Ends & Stabilizer bar..1,200 WITHOUT Parts! I Drive about 60 miles to The Answermans Shop, they Looked into the Problem.. WAS NOT THAT..springs on Struts were popping, Had Them Put on Valve Cover gasket, oil pan gasket, and had to have a NEW OIL PLUG, that Previous Aforementioned mechanic Said They CHANGED My OIL,(stripped plug threads)They DID NOT! Had them do past 2 oil changes..Well Chance Asked me if I was sure I wanted to use Oil in it? I said Yes, he asked me WHEN the last time I had it Changed? He Showed me right out of the engine, how Gunky and Black it was! I had Just Had it Changed on a Monday, this Was On A Wednesday,I was there with Vehicle, So Answerman Made sure, I knew my oils condition, also had them Do front brakes, Look into my carburetor, New Plugs, New Plug Wires.. left it over night, Chance worked on it Making me Know and feel, My Vehicle was in Great Professional hands..I Think this Mechanic and Owner Are VERY Responsible, Reliable And Professional. I Also Took My Grandaughters car over to be worked on as well, very Reasonable Pricing. Maybe If You think Some other Shop Could Do A MORE RELIABLE JOB.. Then GOOD LUCK! My Go Too MECHANIC IS THE ANSWERMAN! No if Ands Or Buts.. Thank You Darrin And Chance.. PS I confronted last Mechanic and told them I Paid you 60. For oil Change Twice,Took in Dirty oil of my Car, in clear Bottle.. How MANY OTHER PEOPLE DO YOU LIE TO AND Say You CHANGED OIL, and DIDNT? I told Them I wouldn’t be back.. Other Customers heard my Exchange of words With this Company, Told Them They Better be ALERT, with what they Had Done There! I will not mention name of this Company do to Covering my own butt, in this day and time, for Maybe Slander. Go TO THE ANSWERMAN WEST SIDE CLAREMONT , Evansville Indiana

Went here about a week ago and was beyond impressed with the professionalism, cordiality, kindness, and service I've recieved. Darren Lewis and the other fellas there have definitely earned my respect through their work ethic, attitude, and character. Fixed up my vehicle in quick time while also allowing me to watch. I learned a ton from these gentlemen and my level of respect for them is unmatched. Check these guys out. You will not be disappointed.

I took my truck to have my a/c fixed by Daren. He charged me $650 and said it was ice cold. After two weeks the a/c quit working again and I took it back to him. He charged me an additional $250 to repair. The a/c still wasn't working after he was finished with it. I took my truck to an a/c specialist later and he said the system wasn't even retrofitted to the proper coolant, the system was on the wrong side of the firewall, among other problems. Daren is a scam artist and is not the answer but the problem.

Great service, Helpful team of honest people that want you to be back in your car rolling again! I have had my jetta's clutch changed out here and my Range Rover's air suspension replaced here for the best price around. This is a 10 star place if you ask me.

Very nice, friendly and knowledgeable person. Took care of brake problems and went above expectations by replacing brake lines. All covered in rust and hard to remove. However, have called twice since getting car returned. Left messages with no return call. Brake light still on. Makes awful noise at times and another brake light has just recently come on and flashes on and off. Does cause me some concerns.

The irony of Answer Man is in its name itself. Dropped my car off to the owner, said he'd look at the problem and call me. A week goes by no call. Two weeks go by no call. I call the shop no answer. This goes on for a month. I show up to the shop only to see a sign in the window saying hes on vacation be back in a week. Had my care for 3 months I had to tow it out of there cause he didnt even look at it or start to fix it. Honestly i hope he reads this himself so this will never happen to any other customer of his. I spent $4k in transportation while he had my car. Hey Darren or Darrell I thought our officers would have taught you better than this.

i've lived on the Westside of Evansville for about 19 years and have taken cars to these guys dozens of times over the years. The guys in there are really nice and do good honest work for a fair price. They've never tossed in any unnecessary work, overcharged me, or did a faulty repair job on any of my vehicles and they've diagnosed everything on all these jobs for free, which probably has saved a good amount of costs considering Pep Boys or Midas might charge 80-100 just to diagnose the problem. One time for instance I took the car in because of a noise that sounded almost exactly like a ball bearing issue I had years ago. The mechanic troubleshooted it for me to chrome peeling off the inside of the wheels rubbing against my brake pads and gave me the car back no charge. Just to compare Pep Boys charged me 100 dollars for troubleshooting one time when I thought it was a fuel pump and it was actually a faulty gas gauge. Their rates on labor are also competitive with other mechanics in the area. Again, from my experience honest guys doing honest work.

I will not let anyone else touch my car. The guys at Answer Man are the best. They're honest and explain everything before doing any repairs, they diagnose your problems free. I've been taking my car to them for nearly 6 years and I've never had any complaints.

Fantastic service. I will recommend anyone to Don! I was told that my car needed a new engine and that it had low compression in 4/8 cylinders (10k quote) by a big dealership down town. Answer Man did a proper diagnosis and saved me 9K by fixing a vacuum leak and taking care of my breaks and thermostat. Awesome service and fare price!

Do not take your vehicle to these people. Took our SUV in and didn’t return calls for weeks or even start work on it. Had to take it to a competent shop for repairs. On top of all that these jerks left our camshaft cover off our engine resulting in them rusting deep into the cams and adding $300 to our bill.

Terrible customer service, owner apparently is "hit or miss" on actually being in the shop, no manager on staff with authority for pricing/quotes. Was told $800 on the phone for an install of a replacement transmission that we provided in a Camry, was not told that they did not have the computers up to pull info from AllData. Was told on Monday after we brought the car & transmission in that it would be more like $1200 & 15 hours of labor between two people. Unprofessional when trying to negotiate, & basically said they're not in charge of pricing but then pull random quotes out of thin air. If you're not in charge of prices, & the computer is not up to pull quotes from, why are you making up prices?

I had my vehicle repaired and the same issue happened 4 months later. I took it to a certified dealer to fix it the second time and The AnswerMan would not pay the bill to get it fixed with the new mechanic. They charged me double what the certified mechanic charged. They had me pay in cash and never found the receipt from my original repair. They never answered their phones (called 12 times) and never reached out to me. They were unreasonable and I was forced to eventually take them to small claims court.

Prices are good but the services were basic. Anytime I had a more complicated issue with my car, they would patch the symptoms but not find the real problem. This lead to repeated repairs. $4000 later they admitted they could not solve the issue and had my car taken to Super Service Center. I appreciate the effort they put out but I expect a mechanic to know how to identify an issue. This experience was from several years ago. Hopefully they have hired better mechanics.

I feel like I got played. The short version: they had my car for a week and a half, charged me $250, fixed nothing, told me it may be a “bolt in the middle of the engine” that could cause the engine to blow in five days or five years, suggested I sell the car. I ended up taking my car to a friend of a friend who drove it with me in the car and in less than 60 seconds diagnosed the problem accurately (and charged me nothing). I don’t often leave reviews like this but they were very unprofessional. I left my car with them and they said they would look at it the next day. Called a couple days later and it went straight to a message about the voicemail box being full. I called several more times over a week and the same thing happened. Finally on Friday I called and talked to someone who said they will look at it Monday (yes they had my car for a week and didn’t even look at it). Called Monday and again was told they would look at it later in the day and get ahold of me. Called Tuesday, same thing. Called Wednesday and they said the same thing but actually called me back later that day and I went after work to pick it up. Literally said he drove it and couldnt figure out what was wrong, I specially asked if he checked the tires bc I’ve had a similar problem before, he said it wasn’t the tires. He told me it was probably the bolt and then said it would be $250 something. I paid it like an idiot for no work being done on my car and no answer to the problem. Oh and it turned out it was the tires. I would not take your car, bicycle, or even GI Joe jeep here. Doesn’t seem like they care, they can’t tell you what’s wrong and will definitely charge you a lot of money for no work. I hate to leave bad reviews but I honestly feel like I was robbed on this one.
