Nick and his wife Liv run a great business here. They have been caring for our family's cars for years. We met them when our kids were in preschool together and are so grateful to have competent, knowledgeable, and honest help. Here's a classic Nick story for you. Last week, I dropped my newer car at Nick's for a 30k tune up, and then discovered that the battery in my older car had died from lack of use over the pandemic (my own dumb fault). Nick personally dropped off the first car and then super-charged the battery in the second with enough juice to get it back to his shop, where he swapped in the new one. No charge, just a kind person connecting the dots and making things a little better for everyone. Go to Nick, he'll take care of you.

Nick completely demystified my issues with my '07 Honda CRV. After visiting other mechanics, who only provided cryptic explanations for my axle problems, Nick calmly showed and explained to me, in his spacious and clean garage, what I needed to have fixed. He then gave me a reasonable estimate, on the spot, and let me know how long it would take to fix (under a week). After conveniently making an appointment with his friendly and helpful wife, Liv, my axles were fixed for hundreds of dollars UNDER the original estimate, which was already set at a fair price. This is a great family run shop. I am new to the area and needed a mechanic. I found At the Shop Auto Repair on Google maps, it had the most positive reviews so I took a chance. Nick always gets the job done in a very prompt manner, with high quality and a very reasonable price. He will communicate with you constantly while your car is being repaired to provide updates on the status and estimated time to finish. One of my fuses burned yesterday, Nick replaced it for me in 5 minutes without charging a penny. Their shop is very trustworthy and I will keep coming back here.

Got my suspension done and tires replaced at At the Shop. Received my car back with most lug nuts stripped or damaged. I was provided with a replacement set, but only after I noticed the issue and came back to complain. After 2 months of little to no driving (due to Covid), the sidewall on my brand new tire failed while driving. I did not hit a curb, or cause any damage from misuse, but At the Shop refused to warranty the tire and said I would need to replace it at my own cost.

I can't write enough positive things about Nick. It can be overwhelming to find a car mechanic in the Bay, but I can safely say that this shop is an absolute gem. He found the exact issues with my car, gave me a fair and completely reasonable price, and fixed it quickly with no issues. My car is in the best shape it's been in years. The sound coming from the engine that four different mechanics failed to diagnose over the past two years is gone now thanks to Nick. The thing that struck me most was that at one point, he found an OEM part for cheaper than his original quote. Rather than pocketing the difference, he informed me of the good news and subtracted it from my bill. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he is willing to do business in a way that's honest and fair in this economy. I will be returning to this shop whenever I have ANY issues with my car, and I strongly recommend everybody does the same.
