Several months ago our 2015 Audi A3 needed to be serviced. Tired of driving to the dealership in Fife where the car was purchased…..we thought we would try Auburn Foreign and Domestic. The result: much closer to home, work was done to a high standard, and the price was a little less than the dealership. So when ours 2019 Lexus NX300h needed it’s 60k mile service (actually a 30k service) we decided to give Auburn Foreign & Domestic another opportunity to win our business. I emailed them a complete list of things that Lexus of Seattle includes in its 30k service to make sure we were comparing apples with apples. The result: Auburn got us in the same week I requested the service; everything on the list was done to a high standard; the pricing was competitive; the front counter guys were friendly, professional, and responded favorably to all of my questions and requests…..including a request for me to inspect the engine and cabin filters so I could see how they fared over the last 30k; additionally they provided a comprehensive overview of the work that was done and the condition of more than a dozen major components and systems….etc etc etc. Another plus…..I didn’t have to invest almost three hours to drive to Lexus of Seattle for the service (where we bought the car and have had it serviced since new….nothing but good things to say about Lexus of Seattle……but the drive has gotten worse over the years). Based on today’s experience Auburn Foreign & Domestic has earned our future business.

We brought our 2000 Camry in as the engine began to fail. Auburn Foreign and Domestic assessed the issue and gave us a fair quote for repair. We decided to donate the car, but as it wasn’t drivable Jared and the team was so gracious to keep it there until we could get the logistics of the donation squared away. They were friendly, helpful and understanding the whole way through. I recommend them 100%. You’ll be well taken care of.

I came here three times, and the first two times were pleasant. The staff, especially Jerry is extremely nice and provided excellent customer service. However the third time I was in for a sound I was hearing with my brakes that I was concerned about, and I was told I could not sit and wait in the waiting room while my car was being worked on and that the four pieces of furniture and the television were only for people getting their cars’ oil changed. No one ever told me I could not sit there the first two times. I was going to talk to management about it, but the guy working the counter at opening time who told me I had to leave otherwise he would reschedule me was the owner, Greg. He was pretty short with me and I was very disappointed. I certainly did not feel welcome there at all and I will not be returning with that extremely silly rule. It is quite a ridiculous way to lose a customer that would have been loyal and recurring. Oh well, there are plenty of shops out there that don’t mind me sitting and waiting while my car is being worked on.

Took my daughter’s car in to get the front and rear brakes replaced. We had an amazing customer service experience at Auburn Foreign and Domestic. I called the shop to make an appointment to my surprise we were able to get an appointment the next day. Everyone was very friendly, and professional. The waiting room area, and the maintenance shop were very clean. Jerad Smith was very helpful, answered all of our questions and got us off and running again within a few hours. Have to say this was the best customer service experience I’ve received from a service shop. A huge Thank you to Jerad Smith, and his maintenance team!! I highly recommend Auburn Foreign & Domestic!!

Jerad and Auburn Foreign & Domestic’s team of mechanics did a fantastic job with fixing the leaking coolant system on my Mercedes. They also changed my brakes, rotors, sensors and battery in less than 24 hours! Thank you again team and I’ll make sure to recommend friends and family to your shop!

A Disappointing Experience That Cost Me More Than Just Money I really wanted to like this place - the staff was nice, and I hoped they'd provide honest, affordable service for my beloved 2000 4Runner. Unfortunately, my experience left me frustrated and out of pocket with little to show for it. I brought my truck in to diagnose a ticking noise, hoping for a clear answer. After two days, all I got was a vague guess: "We think it might be lifters". To confirm, they wanted to charge me $1,200 "just to make sure". A price I simply couldn't afford. Instead, I was charged $259.15 for what essentially boiled down to: "We think it's a valve noise". That's a lot of money for an uncertain answer. I walked away feeling like I'd wasted time and hard earned cash without any real solution. If a shop can't give a confident diagnosis without charging excessive fees, how can I trust them with bigger repairs? I truly don't recommend Auburn Foreign & Domestic if you're looking for transparent, fair, and effective service. Sadly, I won't be returning, and I'd caution others to think twice before spending their money here. There are shops that value their customers more - unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. Save your time and money, look elsewhere.

Greg and the team at Auburn foreign and domestic are fantastic. I’ve taken a 2003 Turbo Jetta and for diagnostic work and timing belt replacements, and also my 1985 Chevy Suburban for various diagnostic work and fluid changes. They do fantastic work, are honest, and stand behind their service with a rock solid warranty. When they can’t give warranty certain work, I have been well informed on precisely why that is and if I wanted to proceed with the services. No BS, just straight talk that makes sense. Every time I’ve brought one of my vehicles in, they are clear and concise with the timeframe of service, they provide updates every day, and most importantly they do not upsell on unneeded work. I think I’ve used them 7 times or so between my two vehicles and not once did they try to sell me anything that I didn’t bring the vehicle in for. All they have ever done is give me options for the work I initially brought a vehicle in for, with no pressure on what direction to go. Their rates are on par with most other shops from what I’ve seen, but Auburn foreign and domestic blows most other shops out of the water with their phenomenal service, professionalism, communication, and integrity. Spending thousands on servicing vehicle sucks, but these guys make it so much better with how they treat their customers. The peace of mind knowing that they stand behind the work they do is absolutely priceless. I personally will not take my rigs anywhere else unless I have no other choice. If you are looking for a shop near Auburn, Kent, or Renton… look no further. You will not regret it. Seriously, it’s hard to beat this place. Their techs are gonna be able to fix your car, and the advisors are going to actually advise you rather than sell you nonsense snake oil “treatments” like most dealers and scummy chain repair shops will.

I brought my Honda in for a routine oil change and a general look-over, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. The staff was friendly, professional, and upfront about everything. They got the job done quickly and even gave me a rundown of what they checked, with no pressure to upsell or push unnecessary work. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, and the whole process felt smooth from start to finish. I’ll definitely be bringing my car back here in the future—highly recommend!

I can’t say enough great things about Auburn Foreign & Domestic Auto Shop. From the moment I walked in, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on customer service. They took the time to explain the issues clearly, offered fair and honest pricing, and delivered high-quality work on time. Whether it’s routine maintenance or more complex repairs, they’ve always gone above and beyond to get the job done right. What really sets them apart is their transparency and integrity—you never feel like you’re being upsold or misled. This is the kind of place you can trust with your car and know you’re in good hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable, honest auto repair in the Auburn area!

Five years ago I brought these guys a car to have the coolant flushed and refilled. They said they could not do the job because the car needed a head gasket. It's been five years and 15,000 miles since, and the coolant is clear and the engine oil is not like a milkshake, it's clean oil. The car still runs and drives perfectly. So how does the car need a head gasket? It doesn't.

My car died and I had it towed to Kelly’s because I had done business with them before I ask that. In additional tofixing what was wrong please service it. When I checked today it was ready and I was told everything looked good even the oil so no need for service at this time. Honest local people easy to work with

I have trusted Jerry, Greg and the Team with our vehicles for the last 4 years. Not one complaint since. Very friendly and accommodating group. This last encounter, I had left something at the shop after my oil change, the team made arrangements to bring it to me after they closed down for the weekend. Always above and beyond with the service for me and our vehicles. I will continue to trust this team with our cars. Highly recommend!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jared and his team are absolutely outstanding! Their knowledge, communication, and skill are second to none, and they went above and beyond to help me and my son. We own a 1997 VW TDI Jetta with 353,000 miles at it seemed to be losing power—we were convinced it had to be a turbo failure. Instead of just “throwing parts at it,” Jared carefully diagnosed the real issue: EXTREME carbon build‑up in the EGR cooler and exhaust manifold. After hours of meticulous, hands‑on cleaning, the car now runs stronger than ever—truly like a whole new machine. What impressed me most was their honesty and dedication to solving the problem the right way. This kind of integrity is rare, and it’s why I highly recommend this business to anyone. Thank you, Jared, for helping my son and me in so many ways. Even my mom trusts them with her BMW!

I actually happened upon this place while doordashing (I was bringing them a part they ordered from another vendor) and I just so happened to need my head/tail lights replaced. A perfect coincidence for a blessed experience. As I came in to drop off their order, I asked how much they would charge to replace the lights for my car and they told me that if I returned shortly after they had some work to do for other customers, that they'd help me replace my lights, free of charge! (I had the lights needed to replace my old ones, I'm just not good with cars). Though this particular shop is out of the way from where I live, I will most definitely consider coming here for any work or quick maintenance I may need in the future. All the staff was kind and accommodating to my every need and question, they even had a bathroom available for use upon request. Though I have yet to get all the names of the staff, I was initially greeted by a lovely woman by the name of Teresa. Thank you for everything!!!

I been the Auto Business for over Thirty plus years. I also operated a Business in Auburn over half that time. I used this company several times in the last Fifteen years and always thought I was being very fairly until I brought my wife’s Mercedes in. So I brought in my wife’s Mercedes. It was in limp mode and had Garret check it out for me. He came back saying it needed a K 40 module plus programming and also had a O2 sensor that was out. He quoted me 2$550 for the module and additional $550 for the O2 sensor. I thought about it and I decided to call Larson Mercedes. They quoted me 1$450. To do the module. They told me that would be the first step besides the O2 sensor cause it could go hand-in-hand. I called up and spoke to Garret and asked him if there is any discount off the price he lowered the price down to $2000 plus doing the O2 sensor That was a red flag. I’ve never heard of shops ever Loren the price on anything in my lifetime I decided to go pick it up from there because if a shop lawyers are priced $500 and you call an actual Mercedes store and they’re even $500 less. What does that tell you so I found the part online for $225. I took it to Auburn Drivtrain up the street and they put it in for $200 and now my wife has her Mercedes back and it runs terrifically. Be careful in the future the way you do business and who you’re doing business with not everybody as smart as I am in this business to get over on. Shame on you if you want all the proof of this statement I can prove everything on here that is totally true

After I removed and re-installed the passenger seat of my 2020 Audi A6, the airbag light remained on. My code reader wouldn't clear it, so I brought it in. WOW, what great service!!! 1st time using Auburn F & D, but it surely will not be my last. HIGHLY recommend this shop, stay away from the dealerships!!!!

I live in Ohio, 2400 miles away and my daughter lives in the Seattle area and had mechanical issues with her 2007 BMW 328i. She didn't know where to take the car and I checked with my former union officials in Seattle who highly recommended Auburn and said they were honest. I helped finance the extensive repairs and worked with Jared who answered any and all questions I had on the phone. As an added bonus he helped me with a local detail shop (Auto Bros) who did a fantastic job detailing the interior and exterior of the car. Jared was very patient and understanding and even took before and after pictures of the car after it was detailed. I couldn't have asked for a more professional job that Jared and his crew did for my daughter. I would highly recommend Auburn for keeping your vehicle in tip top running condition. They are the best! Thanks guys! Greg Smith

I recently brought my 2016 Mercedes Benz E400 into Auburn Foreign & Domestic Auto Repair and had the pleasure of working with Jared. From the first conversation, he was respectful, fair, and honest about everything. He got me in the very next day and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I grew up with my father, who owned a local auto shop in West Seattle for over 20 years before he passed. Walking into this shop gave me that same feeling I grew up around, straightforward communication, integrity, and genuine customer care. That meant more to me than I can explain. The quality of service was great, but the interaction and how they treat their customers is what really stood out. That alone will keep me a lifelong customer. Thanks again, guys I truly appreciate it.
