This is our fourth Audi for the family. We keep coming back because of the sales experience being low pressure and without hassles. But if Audi of Monterey was our first experience, we likely would not have gone back to the brand. It starts with the unappreciated industry scam to forcing unwanted add ons like “Enviroguard Protection” for another $1000 over the advertised price (read the small print on the add) and then forcing you to use their in house financing as part of the negotiation even though it’s higher rate than outside lenders. Worse, we requested some Audi protection packages with the vehicle which they then downgraded without any notice because Anthony couldn’t figure out how to add it properly and instead of just asking for help, he took it on himself to downgrade the package while keeping the price the same for the package. That wasn’t discovered until after delivery of the vehicle and since he still wasn’t willing to fix it, we had to have it refunded (leaving us with no protection package). Even delivery didn’t meet up to promised with their agreement to deliver the vehicle fueled up and with a charged Q5e PHEV battery both being ignored. Months of back and forth tell me they are just not professional and can’t stand behind their work. I would actively dissuade anyone from using this dealership when there are so many other options in California. When you’re shopping for a premium vehicle you expect the service to match and this dealership and the Sheinfield brothers cannot deliver that.

The service staff at Audi Monterey was super accommodating and worked quickly to try and diagnose the issue I was experiencing. Unfortunately, I’m still having the same problem and am now debating whether or not I take it back to them for further evaluation and a deeper dive or wait until I get back home after the new year. My hesitation is rooted in the fact I’m visiting from out of town/state for the holidays and they’ll want to keep my car with no loaners available for my use while they have my car.

One of the worst dealership experiences I’ve had. The manager was dismissive and rude from the start. I had already discussed a price range over email with the salesperson, but once he “checked with his manager,” the numbers suddenly changed and were nowhere near what we agreed on. After some back-and-forth, the salesperson told me I’d have better leverage in person. So I drove 1.5 hours — only to find that the vehicle had a malfunctioning left camera. The salesperson acknowledged it immediately, yet the manager insisted the issue was because “the door wasn’t closed,” even though it clearly was. When I made a reasonable offer based on the original discussion and the obvious defect, the manager didn’t negotiate, didn’t explain anything — he simply stood up, scoffed, and said, “Have a good day.” Unprofessional, misleading, and a complete waste of time. I would not recommend doing business here.

I purchased a pre-owned Audi Q8 from this dealership remotely. While the sales process initially appeared productive and pricing was adjusted during negotiations, the experience completely broke down after the deal was completed. After purchase, I was given multiple different pickup and delivery dates. On several occasions, I was explicitly told the vehicle would be picked up on specific days, but the vehicle was never picked up. Each time, the date passed with no carrier, no confirmation, and no proactive communication. I never received a carrier name, bill of lading, or a firm delivery timeline. The repeated missed commitments and changing explanations made it clear there was no reliable post-sale execution. After over two weeks with no shipment, despite being fully paid and ready, I had no choice but to back out of the deal. Ultimately, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. If you are considering a remote purchase, I strongly recommend getting written confirmation of shipping arrangements and timelines before finalizing anything. Selling the car is one thing — delivering it reliably is another, and that’s where this experience failed.

Haley reached out to me first thing in the morning, super attentive and eager to hear exactly what I was looking for. Everything was awesome, the service department employees were professional, informative and efficient. Our local dealer in fresno recently closed, so I had to make the drive for my regular service - honestly it was less time that waiting all day at our local dealer use to take. The people were great and made the process smooth. They were very nice as well. My only complaint is the requirement of a$1400 coating. I was told I could not remove that from the cost because it was sprayed on when they received the car even though they had just gotten it and the car had not even been cleaned yet. So either that’s a lie or they put the coating on a dirty car!! It’s an insulting statement. If they want to charge more for the car list it as more expensive rather than forcing the customer to add on items they do not want. I realize this is a common strategy but I view it as dodgy. I bought the car from out of state and it arrived quickly which was very exciting. Overall it was a good experience despite the annoying upcharge coating.
