The job isn't even finished, and I am compelled to give Derek 5 stars. I was referred to him by another highly reputable transmission shop as being a maestro. Without giving the play-by-play, the man went above and beyond for me. I was having a foul day, and by the end of it, I was in a much better place having dealt with him. I know I'm a drop in the ocean when it comes to people singing praises for this gentleman, but he deserves it all. The reason I'm preemptively reviewing this without even having seen the work (he has called me update me to give me a idea on what is being done), is because a person who cares this much about his fellow human beings would undoubtedly translate that into quality and attention to detail as well. Having owned several cars over a 22 year span and meeting many different mechanics along the way, I have not had the pleasure of dealing with anyone like this. For over 40+ years of experience, the best customer service, and of course the price, this place is a one-in-a-million business. If you've made it this far into my review and still need convincing to go here, you're overthinking it.

These guys are great! Derek is such a great guy! The clutch in my '98 Ford Ranger went out so I had it towed to Derek's shop. The truck sat for 2 months before I took it in and my rear driver side wheel wouldn't turn at all. We couldn't even get it off the tow truck. Derek came out right away with 2 of his guys and took care of me even though they were already busy. They jumped my dead battery and broke the wheel free in no time! Derek was straight forward with me from the time I first called until I picked my truck up all fixed. He's down to earth and easy to talk to. Fixing cars and trucks is expensive but I was told what to expect and that's exactly what happened. I'll be going back to Aurora Clutch and More anytime I need work done in the future and I strongly recommend them. Thanks Derek and your crew! Awesome people!

Went here initially for a clutch replacement. Got a very fair price and was done in a timely manner. Came back to have them look at a power steering issue and a washer fluid reservoir leak. They determined that no parts were needed with either of these issues and fixed both problems for me, only charging labor. I’d be surprised if there is a more honest mechanic in Seattle, and I give them 6 stars if I could. Derek is the man!

This was the second time I’ve been to this shop, and I’m so glad I found this place. First time my car was making a loud noise and the engine light was on. While some other shops wanted to charge me $100 plus dollars to run the computer diagnosis, and would want to schedule me for the following week, Derek was able to find me a time in the very next day and fixed my car at an affordable price. The second time I’ve been there was also because my car was making a funny noise. They again were able to check and fix my car on the next day. I also appreciate that Derek always checks in with you after a week or so to confirm that your car is working well after the work he has done. I will definitely be using their services again when my car needs another maintenance.

I do medical transport for people in wheelchairs, and my wheelchair van suddenly got an extremely loud noise coming from the exhaust. I called around to see if someone could check it out and was denied everywhere, but when I called Aurora Clutch & More and explained my situation to Derek - that I have patients waiting to be picked up - he told me to come in! He got my van directly up onto the lift, diagnosed the noise, fixed it, and had me out of there in time to pick up my next patient. On top of that, he refused to charge me because it was an easy fix. Any mechanic would have charged me, and probably a little extra for such short notice. You really don't see that kind of genuine kindness and neighborly service anywhere! Thank you!

I cant say enough what a blessing it is to have this shop. Derek is awesome! He keeps my old car running better than a lot of younger cars and I trust him completely. He is great at diagnosing problem, coming up with reasonable solution, and keeping my old car in stellar condition. He has saved my bacon multiple times. My car is old but it doesn't drive like it. And last time when it broke down over a weekend i knew if it was towed to him he could solve it. And that is great peace of mind. And he did solve it just when i feared maybe it was time to replace car. So glad to still have my Honda Element. I don't trust most mechanics and i have reasons for that. But Derek and this shop are stellar. They are the real deal. I tell everyone i know who is looking for a shop to go to them. I should write reviews more often. I cannot say enough good things about Aurora Clutch and More and Derek.

I had an incredible experience with Aurora Clutch and More and I can't recommend them enough!! I had my catalytic converter stolen and was extremely upset by it. I called and Derek was able to provide me with a quote over the phone. I brought it in to the shop the next day and had my car up and running within a couple of hours. Extremely great customer service from both Derek and Dennis. Thankful for their help and that the quote they gave me over the phone ended up being what I actually paid!

It's very hard to find honest mechanics these days! Derek replaced the clutch/flywheel on my car for LESS THAN HALF of what another shop quoted me! It's getting harder and harder to find a reliable, knowledgeable mechanic for a reasonable price. Recently brought my Patriot in for what sounded like whirring in the cab. Of course Google offered a number of guesses but it was outside of my wheelhouse. Derek diagnosed a failing alternator and quoted me the price. Issue completely resolved! I will never EVER go to another mechanic Derek the owner is ABSOUTLEY AMAZING I had a 2003 Jeep wrangler SE they installed a new stage 2 clutch and a Brand new FLY WHEEL got me back on the road again after being down for 3 months As I was picking up my jeep wrangler the person driving are other go lost all power to the vehicle Derek the owner personally came out with a jump box and jump started our car and then showed us the alternator baring was going out and offered to hold the vehicle and charge the battery for us and pick it up next day so when we are ready to have the work done we can bring it back HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!! TRUE PROFESSIONALS!!!

My car has not run right since I took it here for timing belt and battery replacements. My car stalled within 5 minutes of leaving the shop the first time. So did they not test drive? Spark plugs were loose. Continued to stall so I took it in a third time, but idle Is still rough. Derek kept saying the timing belt ‘was tight’ and that may be but the timing is also off. Also, the alert sounds for leaving lights on or key in ignition ceased to function after coming out of this shop. Why? At least they tried to keep at it, but a car should not come out of a shop running worse than when it went in for routine maintenance. And it should definitely not stall in traffic while you are driving home. Derek came out and got it running enough to bring it back to shop, but I lost significant time I shouldn’t have bringing it in 3 separate times.
