Ken is a gem! We couldn't have asked for better service, and the diagnosis the team did on our vehicle was thorough and informative. We really appreciated Ken's guidance and integrity! We will definitely go back to Village AutoCare & Tires the next time we need something taken care of on our vehicles.

I’ve been taking my vehicle to Village Auto for over two years now and every time I’ve received exceptional service. The staff is attentive and communicative and work efficiently to get your vehicle up and running in no time. On one occasion, I was about to leave town and had issues with my truck and I called them up to see if they could accommodate me same day and they pulled through! Couldn’t be more pleased knowing that I found my forever mechanic. I’ll definitely be referring them to friends and family!

My daughter had a flat tire, and it was also due for an oil change. She chose Village Auto Care based on reviews and closeness to her house. I had a few questions, being a 'car dad', and Ken and crew went over-and-above taking care of the car and me and my daughter! Village Auto Care will be her go-to car place going forward. Thank you Ken.

Ken at Village AutoCare is an absolute gem. So helpful, so patient and so understanding! He even talked on the phone to the last shop I had been to when I couldn’t explain the issue. I came to this shop because they had good reviews and I can confidently saw my experience was better than I could’ve even hoped for. This is a fantastic business to support with an incredible team

I would trust these guys with my life! Brought my car in bc it was overheating. They were able to get to it the next day and let me know the issue is one that would have to be dealt with at the dealership. They didn’t charge me for any diagnostics and were so kind and helpful. Great experience

I recently had an issue with my 2018 Prius (105k) - no heat from the passenger compartment heater, and coolant reservoir emptying in 2-3 days after being topped off; no overheat or Check Engine light. Village charged $1867 + tax = $2053 for a diagnosis and water pump R&R (plus $152 inc tax for an oil/filter change). Problem recurred within less than a week, with an empty coolant reservoir. I returned to Village Auto and Ken said I must still have a leak in a hose or a clamp, or maybe the new water pump was faulty. Didn’t make a whole lot of sense that there could have been 2 independent / very significant leaks, so I asked Ken if it was possible that they changed the wrong part. I also mentioned that I noticed a large plume of steam from the tailpipe when hitting the accelerator, and so I thought the coolant was likely coming out the tailpipe as steam. Ken seemed confused by this suggestion and asked how coolant could be coming out the tailpipe. At this point I had completely lost faith in Village’s ability to find and fix the problem, so I brought it to another shop and within a couple of hours learned the real cause: a leak in the exhaust heat exchanger module attached to the front exhaust pipe, causing a coolant leak into the exhaust path. (There is a Toyota Technical Service Bulletin covering this issue.) I realize Village Auto is a business and needs to make money to survive, and Ken seems genuinely personable and nice, but I was thoroughly disappointed by this interaction. After 4 years as a loyal customer who has recommended Village Auto to friends and family, I feel completely let down. If you’re not cheap, you’d better be good; and if you make a mistake, recognize it, own it, and fix it.

Trustworthy, knowledgeable and truly caring about customers! I have been taking my car to Village Auto Care for over three years now, and I can honestly say that they are the best auto service center I have ever dealt with. Riley and Ken are not only friendly and professional, but also very knowledgeable and honest. They always explain what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how much it will cost. They never try to upsell me on unnecessary services or products, and they always give me the best advice on how to maintain my car in optimal condition. The mechanics at Village Auto Care are also very skilled and meticulous. They take great care of my car, and I can feel the difference every time I drive it. They always check everything when I bring my care in and they fix any issues that might arise. They also use high-quality parts and materials which gives me peace of mind out on the road. I highly recommend Village Auto Care to anyone who needs auto service. They are not only the best in terms of quality, but also in terms of price. They offer very reasonable and competitive rates, and it never feels like they are suggesting additional services to nickel and dime you. They also have a convenient location in U Village so you can browse the nearby shops while you wait. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and affordable auto service center, look no further than Village Auto Care. You will not regret it. Riley and Ken will take good care of your car, and you will be glad you chose them.

Ken listened to our explanation of the situation and his diagnosis matched our expectations. He and his team fixed the AC in our Subaru quickly and at a fair price. We will be going to Ken for any car issues we experience in the future. They are friendly, fast and fair!

Village Auto Care isn't just a place to get my car fixed – they're like family! For the past 10 years, they've taken incredible care of my 15-year-old car. The entire staff has a genuine and caring approach that puts you right at ease. Riley and Ken are the best: honest, professional, and always happy to explain what my car needs and why. I trust them completely because they never try to push services I don't need. They're all about preserving my car for the long haul. The mechanics are top-notch, focused on detail, and insist on quality parts and diagnostics. That helps me feel safe on the long road trips my job requires. Seriously, this shop is a must-try! They handle everything from routine maintenance to major repairs. Their prices are fair, and the location by University Village is a huge bonus – I can run errands while I wait! Think of it like visiting your favorite doctor. This shop has experts who listen, figure the problems out, and fix things the right way. They're the reason my car's going strong after all these years!

Village Autocare has our highest recommendation! We are thankful that Ken and his crack team of technicians are able to keep our 220,000-mile Tucson on the road. There is nothing better than good routine maintenance to keep these cars on the road and there is no better place for this than Village Autocare. While you wait for your repairs, be sure to check out Ken’s collection of UW sports, Seahawk and automotive memorabilia. Once you tour the museum, U Village is next door for you shopping & dining pleasure! Parents, if you have a kid off to school at the UW with a used set of wheels, you can count on Ken to take care of them as he is just down the street from the campus. Added bonus; Village Autocare probably has the best smelling bathroom that I have ever visited in an auto repair shop. It is almost like a mini spa experience; photo included!

I had to do all my communicating via phone and Kens communication was great. His prices are amazing. I would not hesitate to use this shop again. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As Vancouver, BC resident, I was excited to spend Labor Day long weekend 2025 in Seattle with my disabled mom and a friend. However, our trip took an unexpected turn on the last day when my vehicle's alternator suddenly failed, leaving us stranded and anxious to return home. In a panic, I quickly searched for a nearby mechanical shop and found Village Autocare & Tire. I called the shop, and a gentleman named Riley answered. I explained our predicament, emphasizing that we were just visiting and had nowhere to stay. I asked if they could replace my alternator before closing time. He was initially helpful in understanding my urgent need to get back to Vancouver. After towing my vehichle and upon arriving at the shop, I met Ken, who was at the front office. I reiterated my situation, and he assured me he would call with a quote. As I had to leave the shop for a bit, I asked Ken for nearby coffee shops, but he failed to mention that there was a mall right next door, which would have been helpful, not knowing the area. After two hours, Ken called with a quote of $1,687 plus tax for replacing my idler pulley and alternator, which was a refurbished Denso brand (Retail $235). I was shocked by the quote, and I knew that I was taking advantage of it. Given our circumstances I had no other choice but to go ahead with repair. I pleaded with him to have the car fixed by the end of the day, but he informed me that the alternator wouldn’t arrive until 4 PM and that the installation would take three hours (Shop time is 1.8 hours). This meant we would have to wait until the next day to leave. Feeling frustrated, I walked back to the shop to retrieve our belongings and my mom's medication. To my dismay, I noticed the Denso alternator & the idler pully sitting on a table in Ken's office. It became clear to me that Ken had taken advantage of our desperate situation and overcharged us for the repair. The customer service and experience were incredibly disappointing, and I would caution anyone considering Village Autocare & Tire. It’s unfortunate that businesses like this take advantage of vulnerable customers. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I recommend exploring other options before settling on this shop. Final Thought: Stay away from this shop!

My daughters and I have been taking our cars here for years now. Ken and Riley are simply fantastic people. Honest, communicative, thorough, kind, and fair. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone! One of my daughters had a bad hit with a curb and messed up her front strut. We didn’t hesitate to tow the car there. They got her fixed and back up and running at a fair price. So wonderful to have like them in our community.

Terrible service, overpriced, they try to upsell you, and A LOT of overhead. My tire was flat again the very same day! I took it to another shop a couple days later and they took this photo of the fix and said whoever did this didn’t know what they were doing. I had a tire puncture and since I was on University Village when I noticed it, I decided to go to this place since it was right there. TERRIBLE DECISION… The man at the register asked me for my car make, model, and so on, I was really confused, I told him I just had a puncture, but he insisted he needed to put all these details to be able to help me. He then proceeded to print a service order, ask me for my phone number and said he will call me back in 1 or 2 hours. I told him I was on a rush so I’ll go somewhere else and proceeded to go to the parking lot to inflate my tire and not damage the rim on the way to the other place. A technician approached me and said that he could help me inflate the tire to make it faster, so I thanked him and brought my car closer so he could do that. He then told me that it was early enough that they didn’t have customers yet, so right then would be a good time to get it done instead of going somewhere else. I decided to give them another chance since the technician said they should be able to work on it right away. I went inside and told the man at the register that I decided to stay since the technician said they weren’t busy. This comment got him really annoyed and he told me again that I should expect a call in less than 2 hours to come pick up my car. I told him I had nowhere else to go without my car, so I would wait there. After 5 minutes of the man printing even more paperwork, putting a tag on my keys and doing a bunch of annotations, he goes to the back, hands the mechanic the keys and comes back inside. The mechanic brought my car all the way to the lift and lifted the whole car, took out the tire and then proceeded to find the puncture and fix it with a tire plug, leaving almost half an inch of it dangling out. Then checked all my other tire threads, oil level, and so on… Let me be clear, I didn’t go there to get serviced. I wanted a quick but proper repair for my puncture, and be on my way. Instead, they charged me a lot and took over an hour. 2 months ago I had a puncture on a different tire and went to a different place. They put a jack under my car, took the tire out, grinded and install a proper patch, calibrated the tire and installed it back. All in less than 15 minutes and one third the price. Village autocare & tires, tried to upsell me oil change, filter change, tire rotation, when I told them I was already scheduled to service my car next week at the dealership. They did a shoddy work at repairing my tire (my tire was flat again the very same day), left my hood partially open, the gas cover open, changed my seat position and had the audacity to tell me they only took an hour and a half to do it. The whole time I was there, no other customer came in or dropped a car, no wonder…

Leaving 3 stars so this can’t be disputed by business. I recently got a tire change at another shop, so I came in to inquire about my tires being rotated and a quick check to make sure my new tires were good (new car anxiety). The man working at the desk, who I had seen in the fenced yard with the tires when I parked, was extremely rude, saying he “didn’t think I could afford the service” and asking inappropriate questions about why I have a newer car. He made a joke about how I must have totaled my old car that my “dad bought me” (his quote) and that my dad supposedly bought me my current car. Not that it matters but both of those statements are false, I saved up for years for this car. I thanked him for his time and left as I was no longer comfortable with them being alone with my vehicle. I parked in the lot directly behind their fenced lot, and as I was getting in my car, he came to the fence and made an obscene hand gesture at me. I’m very shaken up by the experience honestly.

Tire with a small puncture and losing 1-2 psi per day of it running. Came for what I thought was a quick fix. Was told that all tires were shot and that I had ran it on flat. Both lies, 20k mile tires. Made me wait 2 hours for this “diagnose” and another hour just to get my keys since the tech was on lunch brake. Drove away and they had inflated my tire to 55, way past the limit. This place is a scam, avoid at all costs.
