DO NOT take your car here if it's an American-brand car/non-Euro car. I'm sure Autobahn provides wonderful service on German/European cars, and I even wanted to show my appreciation for Victor, who was extremely kind and patient with me throughout my excruciating experience with the company. I went in originally to get a boost leak fixed on my Ford Focus ST. I took it to a performance shop because I figured a boost leak would be simple enough to fix. Upon picking it up and spending $400 for labor, I started driving it, and my boost leak was not fixed in the slightest. They mentioned they took it on a test drive and "the car was hitting target boost," which must've just been a lie because it was clearly not. I turned the car around and brought it back so it could be fixed properly, and left it for another day. When I picked it up the next day, I was surprised to be charged over 300 MORE dollars for labor for something that should've been fixed the first time!!! I wish that were the end of it. I drove the car after and was overboosting, which let me be clear, is NOT the fault of Autobahn Perf. When my new turbo was installed, the vacuum lines weren't plumbed right, so I was kind of expecting it to happen. BUT, after "test driving" the car after the boost leak fix, they said it was hitting proper boost, not overboosting, which was the second time they lied to me. A few days later, I took it back just to have the vacuum lines re-plumbed to the right places. After explaining how it's supposed to be done, and sending them multiple diagrams and videos, they claimed everything was good and in the right place (which, come to find out, it was not at all), and the cause of my overboost was an "improper wastegate arm length." They said they'd have to pull the turbo from the car, get the new part, and it would be a large, multiple-thousand-dollar job, which I knew instantly was such BS. If I hadn't known more about the engine myself, I would've totally fallen for it. Long story short, I took it to a buddy I found on Facebook, and he had the whole problem fixed in 5 minutes by switching two vacuum lines. I'm now hitting proper boost. I would like to reiterate how kind and patient Victor was, and even helped bring down some of the labor costs. With that being said, I wasted almost $1000 for Autobahn to do barely anything, let alone so much time. I live almost an hour away, and the time it took for me to go there and back that many times killed me. I appreciated the free car wash/interior cleaning, which is why I added a second star.
