Great experience all around! Maykel, Haley, and Matt were all wonderful to work with. Maykel was very patient and understanding with us when we didn't immediately purchase a car, and helped walk us through some of the concerns we had. Haley helped us work a great deal on the car we did decide to purchase. And Matt was very friendly, and very helpful, took us through financing step by step and explained everything very throughoroly and clearly and got us a great deal on financing!

Arrived today to look at cars. Was greeted by one salesman and passed off to another named Michael. We specifically stated we wanted to look at Hondas and Toyotas $13k or under. He began by showing us Nissans. We reiterated that we were only interested in Hondas or Toyotas. Micheal showed us a 2016 Toyota Corolla for sale on their site on his phone. We agreed we wanted to see it. When he pulled the car around we were shocked to see the front driver hubcap was missing... I asked how long they had this vehicle for and they said a few weeks. I questioned why they hadn't fixed the hubcap yet and another salesman mansplained to us how hubcaps worked. As we walked over to the car, Michael pulled two handfuls of trash which included an empty energy drink can out of the car and quickly handed off to the other salesman. We both questioned why they wouldn't have cleaned the car out and they stated they were using it as a "runner". Ok?? Micheal was going on to my friend about the car, and I tuned him out while I looked around the car which had rusted rims, pitted rotors and was clearly in a front end collision. As soon as I saw the front end damage I walked around to my friend where she was about to start the car, and it wouldn't even start. I mentioned to the salesman that it had been in a front end collision and he told me "you know your stuff" and showed me the carfax which showed not only front end damage, but also rear end damage. It was at this point we decided to leave because, what the actual hell was that. We did not receive any apology or explanation. Just excuses from both salesmen. Would avoid at all costs.

Benny is extremely helpful. We purchased a Nissan Frontier from him. There wasn't any of the high pressure sales, and even after the purchase was complete he was able to help me with the questions I had regarding my truck. We purchased the truck on a Friday, and on Monday Leah also called to ask how we were liking the truck and offered to help us in any way she could. The entire staff was polite, gracious and professional! I will highly recommend AutoMax to anyone looking for a vehicle

So, typically I'm very loyal once I find a dealership but I stopped in at AutoMax Ocala on Friday and found myself working with Victor Fitzgerald. He listened to what I was looking for, he listened to what I didn't like in the vehicle that I just purchased in June and he listened to what I wanted to spend. He was so knowledgeable on the vehicles that they had on the lot. He showed me the vehicles they had based on the information I have him regarding price, features and desires. He found me the PERFECT vehicle. Before I left he had my phone was connected, seat adjusted and sent me on my way thrilled with my new purchase. I have to say I was impressed with the dealership itself, too. The selection, prices, cleanliness and friendliness was on point. Matt Gianikas was the next in line as the sales manager. The entire sales process took less than 1.5 hours which is amazing. They was ZERO pressure to purchase extra things to jack the price up. I appreciated that they respected my time and budget during the finance process. Fast forward to this morning, which is 12 hours from when I bought my car, and we are back working with Victor on a 2nd vehicle!! That's gotta tell you something. Anyways, I'm so glad I stopped in and found the perfect vehicle for me. Oops, I did it again...we would up with another car today! His and Hers. Victor and Matt handled this deal with the same professionalism and diligence. I'm kind of worried we will have a motorcycle from them soon, as well.

Kyle and Matt were fantastic yesterday. This is I think the 4th car I've bought from AutoMax over the last 25 years. They are an Ocala staple. They are always friendly and straightforward. Yeah, I get hit with dealership fees and pay more than I would from an individual seller, but sometimes it is worth it to have peace of mind about a used car and to be able to finance versus pay everything up front. I bought a vehicle outright from them in the past though, and they were excellent with that transaction too (even brought the car 30 minutes away to me to test drive it back). I know they will go out of their way to get me into a car when I need it and they will make the process as painless as possible. I was helping my daughter buy her first car this time, and as always it was a great experience. Easy, not too long, and treated with respect and courtesy every step of the way. They don't BS and they don't act shady. I'm still driving the 5 year old vehicle I bought from them 6 years ago, and hopefully my daughter will be driving hers that long too. I will keep coming back as long as they're around!
