These guys were great, every other mechanic in the immediate area rejected repair on my car due to its age and part availability. But these guys took my car in no problem and got it smogged and checked. I also came back to get my AC repaired and they went and replaced the freon no problem. They’re very honest and realistic about pricing as well. Just parts and labor. Great shop 👍.

I walked in Joey and Kieran were so helpful. I called in the morning and got a same day appointment. They were very transparent with the pricing and what really needed to be done. I had gone to other shops before and was never informed about how bad my breaks were and other issues that were going on with my car. They did a diagnostic and gave me a better price than other shops and fixed the issues the same day. I highly recommend going into ASR for any of your needs if you want honesty and excellent work.

Writing this review because I was so impressed with the service I received without even being a customer. I called in with multiple questions inquiring about potential service for my car as well as other general knowledge regarding my vehicle issue and warranty coverage. I finally found them. I didn’t know the name of them so the signage isn’t very good but I finally found them and they were so nice to me and they set up an appointment right away and they had fair prices. I really like them. That’s where I’ll be going from now on and they do everything in the shop so Smog oil change everything so you don’t have to go to different places to get that done.

Such an awesome experience coming here. Kiran helped me out at the front desk. He was so kind and really helpful. Fabian was the mechanic who helped me fix my tail light. He let me look over his shoulder and talked me through it so I could understand how to do it. Overall a wonderful experience and I will not take my car anywhere else ever again. I absolutely recommend this place 1,000%. Honest company that does honest work. They won’t try and upsell you on stuff you don’t need. I took my Audi in for a window regulator and an oil change and when I brought them my car, it was filthy. When I picked it up they washed it for me and the car was super clean. They didn’t have to do that but they did. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND and I will return for future services. Thanks again guys!

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about ASR, the service managers and the techs. Whether I talk to Kieran or Bill, about scheduling work on my Jag, they are friendly and efficient. I never feel like they’re trying to upsell me, and appreciate it when issues(priorities & cost) are explained . When I do wait for work to be done, it’s done quickly, and the wait is not bad. They’ve done pre-trip checks without charge, so I definitely feel safer on the road(74 yr old grandma, lol). And they know that I DON’T want my car washed! Have been taking my ‘97 Jag XK8 to them since just after getting it over 4 1/2 years ago. More honest than local Jag shop. Love these guys!

I had my brakes installed and rotors resurfaced with ASR 8 months ago around February/March 2025. The front tire/brake area squeaked a day later. I went back to ASR but they said they didn’t hear anything. I went back to them several other times. Each time, they either said nothing was wrong. After months of the squeaking noise, I finally took my car into Toyota on 11/24/25. They found that the front brake pads and the rear shims were installed incorrectly. Toyota corrected the mistakes made by ASR but recommended new front brake pads and rotors resurfaced if the squeaking persists. It is still squeaking! I found out other issues concerning ASR’s reliability and trustworthiness. 1. ASR informed me I should get an oil change every 5k miles but Toyota says every 10K is the recommended. I’ve taken my car in every 5K miles using synthetic oil per ASR these past few years. They lied. 2. I went in for rattling/shaking/ and lagging of my car a year -2 years ago but ASR said my car is running fine. On 11/2025, Toyota diagnosed the rattling and lagging due to the transmission. ASR should have been able to diagnosed and prevented further issues with my transmission when I took it in for them to look at. I trusted ASR these past few years and thought they’re reliable, trustworthy and most importantly knowledgeable. When I’ve gone to ASR for the concerns of ratting, throttling, lagging, shaking, brakes, and squeaking sounds, they should have done due diligence on diagnosing the concerns so I wouldn't have gotten to this point where I need the transmission replaced and need new brake pads and rotors resurfaced. A mistake on their part that will cost me more money than I can afford. They need to be accountable for the people that trust and rely on them with their vehicles. I reached out to ASR 3 times, they finally responded by saying they can replace the brake pads and resurface the rotors since it’s under warranty. I wouldn’t trust my vehicle with ASR if my life depended on it. It’s an expensive life lesson but I had to learn the hard way not to trust my money or vehicle with ASR. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money or time with them!

Been going here for over a decade. Great service and great people. We mostly get oil changes and maintenance done. Have had a few bigger jobs on older cars. Always happy with the service and warranty offered on their work. Had a car that I took multiple times to repair. At one point they told me it’s time to start putting money into fixing it and get a new car. Really appreciated the candid feedback. Always recommend this place to friends. They wash your car with any service as well. Will keep being a patron for as long as they are in business. Highly recommend!

Automotive Service of Roseville is an excellent choice in auto repairs and maintenance. I have been taking my Corolla there for 20 years now. The team is professional, exceptionally skilled in their trade, honest, respectful, patient and efficient. They answer any questions I have and they are reliable. They tell me what my car needs and what it doesn’t need, i.e. what the dealer says it needs, but really doesn’t. They have immense integrity and they are honest when it comes to servicing and maintaining your car without spending an arm and a leg to do so. If they do provide a specific service they have referred me to someone reliable who does at a reasonable price. This was the case with my windshield replacement. They trouble shoot problems and if they can’t reproduce the problem, they let you know instead of charging you for services that don’t address the problem, just to make money. The team is a stellar unit with respect to all facets of automotive services, including business integrity. They have saved my butt more than once and I feel so very lucky to have found them. I highly recommend this team.
