My husband's Chevy HHR had been experiencing transmission slippage since February, 2019 but our mechanic and two other repair shops could not find the problem. Contacted Schaumberg Carmax where car was purchased and they put him in touch with Bell Transmissions, who do all of CarMax's transmission work. Ed was very helpful and his techs were able to finally duplicate and locate the problem, which turned out to be an unusual one. He kept in touch with us the whole time, explaining the process, and got the repair covered under our CarMax warranty. Thanks very much to Ed and all the folks at Bell. We will be recommending you to everyone we know who needs transmission work!

My husband has a '12 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. The trans went out on my way home from work. He had it towed in around 4:30pm on a Monday. They had to completely rebuild the transmission. He payed and picked up the keys at 2pm, two days later, on Wednesday. Ed suggested they put in some parts that were extra heavy duty being that the bed of the truck has 1800 lbs of tools, welding machine, other equipment. He agreed to their suggestion. It's been nearly three weeks and the truck is running great. I strongly recommend this place to get your trans fixed. This is the second vehicle he has had them work on.

My battery died a few blocks away and I came here by chance. Luckily, they were able to locate a new battery for my car quickly and install it for me. They even checked my alternator to make sure that was not draining my battery and topped off my oil. Although they do charge a $55 fee for looking at your car, they apply it to any repairs you have done. I recommend them because they were very nice and even have free wifi to use while you wait.

I had been having issues with my transmission, but couldn't get anyone to duplicate the problem. My vehicle was taken to Bell's Transmission from Carmax. I had an issue with my Nissan transmission and I brought it in. They advised me to go to Nissan first and make sure that it was not under any warrant. I was doubtful but brought it into Nissan and the transmission was under extended warranty. I really appreciate that their honesty saved me over 3k even though they could have said nothing and gotten another sale. These guys are good people.

This was one of the best auto repair experiences I have ever had. I had called around to find out approximately what my repair would cost. They were extremely accommodating and provided me an estimate even through there were a few unknowns. It's exactly what I needed. The car was repaired ahead of the committed timeline. I was given an update each day the car was in the shop. They knew this was an expensive repair, but they were considerate and accommodating and did their absolute best to mitigate any surprises. They are a fair and honest team. I hope I don't need to worry about another transmission repair, but I wouldn't take my car anywhere else to get the work done.
