I was looking for a oil pump for my 208c transfer case the guy quoted me 10 bucks for it. When I got there mr Blumenthal I guess was in a bad mood. He had the part for me but he wanted 65 bucks and the plastic part had two chunks out of it. Will not buy from there again. I'll order from the slow boat from china before I order from there!!!

FYI...if you are in need of a rebuilt transmission...stay away from Blumenthal Transmission in OKC...they will rip you off.. we were told it would cost $500 plus parts (We looked online and found parts to be $300-$400) with a core. We drove 5 hours twice with 2 different cores they said were no good. They apparently found one in Denver. Traded one of our cores. Charged us $600 for it and then charged us $ 1850 for rebuild. Manager said we were told it would be that much from the beginning according to his salesperson. We were NEVER informed of the $1850 or the core swap, if we had been, we would have said No Thank You as we could've had it done in Amarillo for less. We ended up paying $2653 for the transmission and found when we got home, all parts were not on the new one. Thank goodness we insisted on having the old core (which they weren't going to give to us) as we had to rob parts from it to put on the rebuilt one. They were generous and sent us a $30 part we couldn't find. $30 trade-off on a $1800 overcharge. Something wrong with that. How can people sleep at night when they rip someone off that bad? And then lie about it to keep their jobs. STAY CLEAR of them unless you have more money than sense. Just saying.....

They are not willing to warranty the work they do. They over charge for their service. They were a good company but customer service has diminished in the last 5-10 years. If you’re a company with deep pockets they are good to you. But the little people are getting screwed.

I purchased a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban about two years ago. It was in rough shape, and I made some repairs to it, but it had some significant problems with the drive train from the engine to the rear end. About two months after the purchase, I took my SUV to Blumenthal's for repair to a couple of major problems too big to let go. As luck would have it, I got to work with Parker Puckett. Parker takes his job to heart. He is thorough and friendly and the work he says will be done gets done. Beyond that, he and those who worked on my vehicle go above and beyond. About a month ago I needed to address the overall drive train. I worked it out with Parker to replace the engine, the transmission, and make several repairs to other components on the drive train. The final outcome is outstanding, and the final cost was better even than expected considering the extra work accomplished by the team. I absolutely recommend Blumenthal's, and if you can, work with Parker!

Get a written quote before they start. Was quoted a price over the phone and ended up costing nearly double. Also was sold a few part that didn't need to be replaced, didn't get my approval for either. Car had bird poop all over the windshield and down the side when they pulled it up and coved in dust. I ran it through the car was before bringing it in so I expected it to still be clean.

They Are Great People ! I Was Stranded With Transmission Issues And I Called My Car Lot, Ford Dealership(My Car's Manufacturer) And Mobile Mechanics And No One Helped Me At All They Either Didn't Answer, Cussed Me Out For Calling With Ice Storm Coming, Or Told Me Simply That They Couldn't Help Me. I Called Blumenthal Although It Was Almost Time For Them To Close And They Answered Right Away. They Didn't Hesitate To Offer To Wait On Me Or Come Give Me A Ride. I Had Never Met Or Heard Of Them A Day In My Life But They Were More Than Willing To Help Me Almost Like Family. I Made It There Finally And They Did Everything Possible To Help Me. I Think Randy Is One Of The Guys Names But He Actually Pushed My Car While It Was Cold And Drizzling. However I Didn't Get My Car Fixed Here Because I Was Low On Cash Due To A Work Shortage At My Job But They Are Very Honest And Helpful And I Would Most Definitely Get My Car Fixed Here. Big Thanks To Randy & Kevin They Really Are Great Men And Were A Big Blessing To Me On That Horrible Night !

Save your money and go somewhere else that will do a better job. One that will take actions for their responsibility. Absolutely terrible customer service. I was patient and nice when talking to them and they lied about to 3 different things that made their shop so special. they are not the only shop around with a dyno tester. My quote on the phone was 1700 and when i got there it was 2500 and when i told them to give me the keys because i had someone alot cheaper they lowered their price $500. I had my transmission rebuilt in my truck and it took two and a half weeks to build it. A week after i tried using my 4x4 and it didnt work. it worked when i brought it there and didnt work when i got it back. Went back in there to ask them what they wanted to do about it. Maybe they made a mistake. They then proceeded to tell me they wouldnt look at it without charging me for a diagnostic fee of $89. A manager walked up and told me to leave and they called me and said it was in the transfer case not the transmission and there was nothing they could do about it. Well you have to take the transfer case out to get to the transmission. but they would be glad to rebuild the transfer case for me. I said no because i didnt want anything else to break thankfully i did because i did it myself and it came out great. Well when you pay $2000 you should get your truck back fixed not with something else wrong with it. FOR ALL OF YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS. YOU WILL GET HAGGLED AND BEAT FOR YOUR MONEY. CALL AND ASK AROUND.

My experience was great. My dad came to visit us this spring and had been having transmission issues for months prior. I felt terrible because dad is not a wealty man and had already spent a lot of money at a couple other cheap places. Even though we all know nothing is more expensive than the cheap place. Blumenthal got him in quickly, put his truck up, diagnosed the problem, showed him the issue and explained what would fix it and cut him a pretty good deal. and gave him a good warranty. The rest of our visit went great. I waqnted to post something nice back then but just forgot. AND THen, about a month ago my sister got a great deal on a used Explorer, for a few weeks. then the tranny started going out. I checked w my dad to see what he thought of his blumenthal experience 7 months and 40,000 miles later and he was still very pleased. Blumenthal took care of my sisters truck and so far so good.

Blumenthals is a bad company. They rebuilt the auto transmission in my camaro 4l60e trans. Drove it for around 5k miles and realized I was leaving trans fluid spots under the car. Jacked it up and for 1. only 2 bolts on the pan were tighter than finger tight. The other 14 I could twist out with just my fingers. 2.Further inspection of the pan I found the gasket was cracked. Operation of the transmission is great but should not have to be changing filter and gasket at only 5k miles. I bought the car to restore it. Well the drivers side door was messed up so I told them you have to go thru passenger door they even wrote it on the invoice. Well they opened the driver side door anyways and could not get it to shut and let the rain and snow get into my car. They also had my car for 3 months when I was told Maybe a month when I dropped the car off. My suggestion would be go to amco transmission or just some were else. Employees are not professional at all. Hatfull attitudes. And way over priced 2300 for basic rebuild. Called around and found another shop that would have done it for 1800 with better parts in the transmission after I realized they left the trans pan loose and leaking.

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Horrible customer service and unprofessional attitudes among their staff. On my first call I spoke with the original Mr Blumenthal and he told me to bring my truck down the next morning and he'd personally take a look and tell me what I needed. I arranged for time off work and had my truck towed to the shop on Western. Upon arrival I was advised that I shouldn't speak with Mr Blumenthal and that they would get to my truck early the following week. As my truck is a classic model mid-restoration with an unsealed top, and their shop isn't in the best part of town, I was assured that they would roll my truck inside and store it there until they could get to it. I drove by the lot the following Monday and my truck was exactly where I left it and had been exposed to the rain for the last 24 hours. There was standing water in the floorboard. When I called the sales manager, his response was that his guys "must have forgot." No apology. He said he'd talk to the shop and call me back in 30 minutes with an estimated timeline on their work. Three hours later another guy called me back and although more friendly, did say it could be a week or two before they could even look at my truck. I informed him that I'd need to take it elsewhere as I couldn't wait that long for a first look. When I arrived with a second tow my truck was still sitting out in the rain. The guy that handed over my keys proceeded to recommend another shop for my work and told me that it wasn't uncommon for the sales people to make promises they didn't intend to keep. After a little digging I've found many similar stories from dissatisfied customers, or near-customers in my own case. It seems Blumenthal's used to do decent work but over time, and apparently under more junior management, the service has fallen off. I'm sorry I wasted my time and I'm glad I hadn't yet installed the carpet in my truck, otherwise I would've been out more than just my time.

Paid $2600 for triple disk clutch. One year later the clutch burns up, take it apart only to find a stock clutch not worth $300. We went in for a new clutch, had to get more repaired, when the bill reached almost $8000, we had to make payments to pay off the bill. Should have known from word about town that if you take too long to pay your bill with this "company" that they will replace what you paid for with a stock piece of junk. And to think we used to recommend this place haha. Never again.

My father in law needed to rebuild his transfer case and we had never attempted a transfer case rebuild. We did some research and contacted Blumenthal and was put in contact with Shane. He was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction. We then tore the transfer case down and took it to them. When we arrived Shane looked at what we had and determined what we needed and even helped us check some other things to make sure what we was reusing was good. He went above and beyond what we expected from him and made the process as easy as it could have been. I highly recommend checking these guys out.

Had a transmission rebuilt a year ago and the didn't replace the mount and a year later the mount broke. And the transmission was out of warranty by a few days but Jay honored it anyway. Which is good. Got the van back and now the airbag and horn doesn't work. Claims her told us about the code it was throwing. Don't have a copy of that paperwork. Signs of damn to the horn cover is visible. Grease on the plastic screw covers around the steering column. But that is just minor issues. I will fix my self. All in all good service but I feel they intentionally disconnected wires in attempt to make more money off us because the ate a $2300 warranty fix

Had my recently rebuilt transmission by another shop go out. Went over there to Bluementhals for them to take a look. The gave me a price before they looked at it which was basically a full rebuild if necessary. They called when they tore it down, told me what they found, it needed a full rebuild. The price they gave me up front was the price I paid. They walked me through why it broke, showed me the parts that failed. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and I would use them again. Ask for Kyle when you call.

They get a 2 so far, they have had my transmission for 7 months, in that time they supposedly gave up on mine and got a different one to rebuild, the transmission is like one of a kind, and supposedly hard to find parts, I'm over it and they got me over a barrel

Blumenthal’s Transmission is a horrible company. I’ve been doing business with them for over 25 years. They charged me $3,850 to rebuild a Muncie M20 and said they were going to put it in an M22 case — they never did. I’ve constantly had issues. They supposedly fixed my speedometer — it worked for 2 days and broke again. Evidently there was some kind of changeover or split in the company. They assured me they could build my 327. I asked numerous times. Then they asked me to pay for half of it up front, which is completely unheard of. Finally, I gave in. I picked up the car and got 38 miles out of it before one of the tops of the pistons came completely off. It smoked from the time I picked it up. I took it back, and it took them about 2 months of back and forth and BS. I got several new scratches on my car in the process. Needless to say, the new motor smoked constantly. The speedometer — which I paid for them to fix — quit working again. They didn’t replace my thermostat housing; they reused the old one, which was leaking. They didn’t rebuild or even clean the carburetor. I paid $5,000 for a complete engine overhaul, top to bottom. That’s not what happened. After I picked the car up the second time, it still smoked. None of my dash lights worked. No gauges. I took it back again. They finally got that part working. But then the motor started leaking oil — badly. About a quart a day. Took it back — they said they fixed it — but now said they couldn’t fix the speedo without dropping the entire transmission and charging me an extra $700. Completely egregious. The engine has a 2-year warranty they haven’t honored. The car still smokes. They didn’t hook up the wires to the starter properly, so it died on me. I got under it and saw the problem myself. I had to get the starter rebuilt. Still smokes. They said it was the PCV valve, which is clearly not the issue. Then they lied and said the speedo fix required dropping the trans, which is not true — it’s a side plate job, not worth $700. Do not go there unless you want garbage work, a ton of stress, and no accountability. Horrible, horrible work.

Blumenthal charged me $1,757.30 to repair my transmission. They had my 4-year old (under 90,000 miles) Ford F350 in their shop for two weeks. When they returned my vehicle to me, it was immediately obvious the problem was NOT FIXED. When I called to ask about it, they actually said, "Nobody here knows much about the Ford 10-speed transmissions, so you were kind of a guina pig. We can replace the entire transmission for an additional $10,000." I have zero confidence in Blumenthal, and would never use them again.

Hate be this guy, but just want anyone looking into this company too know before you go. Dropped a truck off to have the transmission diagnosed and serviced. Upon calling before I dropped the truck off the service manager of manual transmissions assured me once the figured out what was wrong with it, they would let me know. This sadly wasn’t the case, after a month and a half of calling and not getting anything out of them (and being put out a truck) they called with it ready and the bill $$$. When I went to pick the truck up the service manager wasn’t in, conveniently, just the tech that worked on it. I asked him what ended up being wrong with it, and got hit with “man.. wasn’t sure so we just decided to replace it for ya.” Used to be a ma and pa style business that’s take care of someone in need before the ol man passed and left it to his sons..
