DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR FOR SERVICE TO THIS LOCATION I’m beyond frustrated with BMW of Alexandria. I’ve had my car aligned twice in just 7 weeks, and it still pulls to the left! How does a certified BMW service center fail at something this simple — twice? It’s unbelievable and disappointing. They clearly don’t care or don’t know what they’re doing. Never bringing my car here again — avoid this place at all costs! Also the machine was used to do the alignments had been calibrated on 7/2/23 which is more than 2 and half years ago which is against the manufacturer’s guidelines to do it bi annually!!!

NOV 2025 UPDATE: I had a couple of awful experiences with this BMW service center, which was disappointing after my initial good experience. But Jason totally turned everything around for me. He listened, was patient, and took a lot of heat for things he absolutely did not do due to my frustration, but still took the time to make it right. He fixed everything that people had failed to in the past, AND got me a nice discount. THANK YOU JASON!! I definitely will only work with him in the future for my car!! JUNE 2025: I used to go to BMW Fairfax for my service, and I recently moved to Alexandria, so moved my service there. They are the BEST. I’m so happy with my service!! Everyone was beyond kind and respectful (single ladies out there especially, pay attention). Their shuttle service is so convenient, and they were great about texting updates. My car sounds brand new and looks it too. Thank you BMW of Alexandria!!

This dealership handled my service with excellent care and attention to detail. This was the third service appointment that I had with Max Reznichenko, and he always goes above and beyond to make any experience I have with the service department a great one. He is the best service advisor at the dealership and shows true proficiency and care when it comes to customer satisfaction. Max always follows up after the service to see if I had anymore questions or concerns. He even answered a repair question for me when I had already left the dealership and made sure I was completely satisfied. Definitely ask for Max when making a service appointment. My technician was Jose, and he did an excellent job with explaining to repairs for my vehicle and identifying recommendations for repairs in the future.

I delivered my BMW X6M to the Alexandria, VA dealership for service and I was greeted by my Service Advisor, Maxim, when I arrived. He immediately got all of the paperwork done quickly and said he would contact me when the service was completed. He also gave me a number to text if I needed to contact him. I was in the area when he told me that the service was completed. After I told him I was in the area and he expedited finishing which was washing the car and cleaning the interior of the car. This saved me from driving back home and then turning around to drive back to the dealership. I cannot say enough about all of the staff at BMW of Alexandria and I encourage anyone who owns a BMW to take their BMW to them for service.

Do not recommend. Go somewhere else to get your car taken care of, I’ve had my vehicle serviced at shops across the nation and in Germany and this is by far the most expensive and worst service I’ve gotten. Made an early morning appointment for a diagnostic, but they didn’t bother to look at my car that day. I emailed them to not bother with the diagnostic, but they performed the service before I could get there to pickup my car and charged me $250 for the diagnostic anyway. The quote for work they provide was astronomical; almost $3k to replace two window regulators after I’d done half the labor by removing the door panels. The part itself only costs $50-100 a piece from most reputable retailers.

Went to bmw yesterday left the car for diagnostic check and told them that battery is draining over night. Explained that battery is 2 month old. They did the diagnostic and said that no problems found. I told them to check the water pump cause it will start on its own after the car is shut off and locked. And guess what? They send me an invoice for replacing water pump😂😂😂 so basically I gave them the car told them what is wrong with it and they charged me $300 for diagnostic and gave me an option for pump replacement for $2600. And they scratched the car door, but when I told them that it’s a new scratch they asked me if I can prove it. I thought I can trust them but I CANNOT Not my first time but very bad experience. Do not recommend.

Have issues every time when I have car maintenance. From not charge or washed car to not you name it. The cashier front desk is never welcoming. They made me pay for little scratch on the loaner car that apparently was there previously but a smaller size. I used to get way better services from other dealerships but not BMW in Alexandria. The car wash is absolutely bad. You will need to wash and vacuum your car after service again. The previous time they gave me an electric loaner with 5 miles on it. I have to charge by myself somewhere else when i realized I don’t have a battery. You are not getting what you pay for.

Review for BMW of Alexandria – Extremely Disappointed I had a very disappointing experience at BMW of Alexandria. The wait time just to be seen for service was unreasonably long, and the pricing was outrageous. They quoted me over $1,400 to replace a radiator hose — something that costs a fraction of that elsewhere. That’s nearly four times the fair market value. On top of that, I was still charged $250 just for a diagnostic, with no follow-up, no communication, and absolutely no sense of urgency from their service team. It felt like they were more interested in upselling unnecessary services than actually helping customers. There were no loaner vehicles, no real accommodations, and no convenience offered to the customer whatsoever. The entire experience felt like a money grab, with bare-minimum service and zero customer focus. Would not recommend. Save your time and money — go elsewhere.

We visited to see a pre-owned X1, but unfortunately our experience with the service was disappointing. We were initially asked to wait for 10 minutes, which eventually turned into a wait of nearly 30–35 minutes. During this time, no car was shown to us. Later, the staff informed us that the vehicle was unavailable and suggested that we look at another X1 parked outside, mentioning that it was similar. Overall, the delay and lack of clear communication made the experience unsatisfactory.I have been to other bmw showroom as well, services was so quick and efficient.

Took my X1 for an oil change and 20k service. They said they couldn't wash it because things would break... the service manager later explained what they meant was their employees couldn't be outside if it was 35-40 degrees. Seems they can't do work in the cold! Then, they told me that my BMW failed it's safety check due to a missing tire rotation, which of course BMW does not require. The service manager explained it was completely optional and my tires were in great shape but they wanted to offer a $400 rotation, balance, and alignment. They are thieves! The story from the service manager is completely different from the service advisor. Don't trust them at all, please!!!!

I have been having my vehicles serviced here for the last two years and the services has been outstanding. Ina Pacheco is the greatest! I have been lucky to have her as my service advisor during my visits! The service department sends detailed videos and explanations on what needs to be accomplished! I also like that they monitor previous repairs to ensure they had fully addressed the problem. My vehicles are a little older but they treat them like they were just purchased. Keep up the great service!

I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time, likely because I hadn’t selected a service advisor. Esmirna came out and helped me with my service appointment, and she completely turned my experience around. She explained everything clearly and efficiently, went above and beyond, and was genuinely pleasant to talk with. Thanks to her, I forgot all about the initial wait. Do NOT come here for service! They will break things and then try to charge you for it. I came in for a SIMPLE oil change with NO LEAK. Upon completion of service, suddenly my drain plug threads are stripped and the drain plug is leaking - and they of course would love to fix it - for $600! First things first: My truck is garage kept, so I would know for sure if it was leaking. The last shop who worked on it did so one year ago…wouldn’t it have been leaking before then? And of course there was NO video evidence of leaking plug prior to them touching it conveniently. The story from the salesperson changed constantly from it’s not leaking to it could leak. They said I’d have to have it towed out of there. Imagine driving your car to the shop to have it towed home! Ridiculous. Thank God I have a secondary dealer I could take it to that let me know the service person I worked with overtorqued my drain plug which then stripped the threads. It’s in another shop now which will leave me carless for a day or two and could mean this oil change is going to cost me way more than an oil change. There is no reason why I should leave the dealership with more problems than I had upon arrival and there is no perk in the world that would land me back here. If you value your vehicle this is not a trustworthy place to bring it. They are willing to do anything to make a quick buck.

I’ve been using this service center for over three years, since buying a used car from them, and the quality has steadily declined. On my visit this week, they changed the oil (about $200) and charged $60 just to “reset the warning light.” They also quoted $230 to inspect—not fix—a parking-sensor issue. The oil change took about an hour, which was fine. The service rep, Max, then offered a free wash, saying it would take 15–20 minutes. Before I sat down to wait, Max assured me I’d be “good to go” once the wash finished. Forty-five minutes later, with no updates from staff, I had to go to the counter to ask where my car was. Max was busy, and another rep told me the paperwork wasn’t finished and that I needed to complete it. About 10 minutes later, they wrapped up the paperwork. Another 15 minutes after that, I finally got my “washed” car. It was just wet—not clean. The wheels were still very dirty, and the windshield had leaves on it. That was the last straw. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this center to anyone.
