I was up in Alexandria for work when my car battery died. I got a jump and went to advanced auto where Dave changed my battery. He was a huge lifesaver changing my battery in 5 minutes. Dave is the MAN! One of the best mechanics I've come across in my life. Easy to communicate - just leave a voicemail or a text if he is unavailable. He'll let you know when he is available to take a look at the vehicle and the issues you are experiencing. I explained my exhaust was super loud and the vehicle was driving slower. Part of my exhaust rusted out and he was able to repair it within a day. Fast service and quality work. I had an issue with my brakes only at certain times. He diagnosed it as the ABS Tone Ring on the driver's side CV Axle. He provided a picture, so I could see the damage. He was able to complete the work within a day once the part came in. Quality work! No issues after the fix! My dipstick handle broke off and I wasn't able to check my oil level. He helped remove the old dipstick. He didn't charge me, but I felt it was needed to provide payment for the service. It helped out a lot!

I contacted Dave in regards to an engine swap on a custom van project of mine. Although he was unable to do the work himself, due to the unusually tall height of my vehicle, (very understandable), I was amazed at his professionalism, knowledge, and positive attitude - after researching my project and discussing it with me at length, he was even kind enough to offer me several references of other mechanics in the area. If his work is as good as his customer service, (I imagine it would be) you should take your vehicle to him without question.
