Franchise auto repair shops such as Monroe, Meneke, etc. have thousands positive reviews and have more negative reviews than total reviews of the most independent auto shops such as this one. I have been to number of those franchise auto shops and even dealer's shops. None of them are honest. Think about where are those positive reviews of the franchise auto shops come from. This is quite prevalent phenomenon nowadays. So check it out and be smart!

I have used Bobby 2 years in a row now for my inspections. As a single mother who knows nothing about cars, some people would take advantage and cost me all kinds of money. Did horrible work put 800 miles on the car and the part went bad. Wouldn’t correct their mistake. BMW charged me the same rate he claimed no one else would do… Thanks BMW. Not only that but the first time it was in the shop he ordered the wrong part and I had to buy another part bc of their error yet again.

Did an inspection and did not tighten the wheel back on causing a wobbling sound for several days. Ridiculous that an inspection to keep cars on the road will leave a car with loose lug nuts.

Been going to Bobby's since it was Tang's, my family has been bringing their cars here for years and each time our experiences have been pleasant. Bobby is delightful and insightful to talk to, he knows what he's doing and then some. He believes in the community and the people supporting his business. His prices for labor are more than fair; and if you have your own parts he lets you bring those for them. Inspection rates are very affordable and reasonable. Be patient with them they're busy and only growing in clientele!

I lost my registration so had to get a new one so was 1hr late guy on phone said no problem just come in when u get it an we will get you a appointment so I did so when I got to his garage I was told im on this an hes on that so we cant help you then why waste my time telling me to get my registration an come to the garage just to tell me u cant help me dumb way to run your business I was looking for a life time garage guess it wont be Bob's

A 10/10 recommended this shops owner I watched his interactions with other customers who came as I waited for my assessment. Bobby wants to make sure everyone was satisfied. He is honest and isn't trying to get over like so many other shops I've been to here. He will only do what is necessary and tells you exactly what's happening in real time if you wait with your vehicle. I watched as he didnt turn anyone away. He and his crew are hard working and know their way around a car and its needs. So greatful to stumble across this gem in the city.

Took my mom here for some work she needed for her inspection. Her normal garage recently changed management and the new crew had dragged their feet getting her a replacement wheel for her 2010s Malibu. And in mom's words, "They seemed a little fishy". Bobby was able to not just get the additional work done, at a very fair price, he took the time to ensure mom didn't feel rushed or pressured. To start, I came in with my 2017 GMC Terrain SLE for an oil change and coolant flush due to froth being under the oil cap, and I heard that it may be a head gasket problem. After coming here, I was told that it was a plugged pipe, he showed me exactly what was wrong and where it was and gave me a price before starting. Afterwards, he told me what he did and what I should do. My car isn’t fixed 100% since I couldn’t afford the pipe unclogging but with the repairs he did do, my car drives better than it did for sure. As someone who has anxiety and is not good with cars whatsoever, this place is a breath of fresh air for people looking to get their car worked on. Welcoming, friendly and customer-conscious; I personally couldn’t ask for a better shop!

I came in to get a diagnosis on what was wrong with my car, but the whole experience felt off. The tech and others in the shop were loudly talking about issues as if they wanted me to overhear, which felt unprofessional. He kept emphasizing how “expensive” everything was going to be, saying things like “ooo that’s a lot,” and recommended several repairs my car didn’t actually need. On top of that, I was told the diagnostic would be $50, but when it came time to pay, he tried charging me $80. I decided to take my car to Fabie Boys for a second opinion, and they told me the issue was simply the fuel pump. Instead of paying $800–$900 for unnecessary repairs, I paid $320 and fixed the actual problem. I’m glad I got another opinion before moving forward.
