I went to Bobby's twice. I live down the street and I have an old car so it requires regular maintenance I wanted something close by. I admit I know very little about cars, and I am very new to driving because I lived in NY and we don't drive. I have a 2000 Lexus and my vsc and abs lights were on. My car was super loud when I started it and the sound when it was running is not what I was used to. I paid Bobby $120 for a diagnostic and I felt like because I am a women, I look pretty young, and don't know about cars the quotes I was given for repairs were inflated. I had a list of 9 codes on the diagnostic that he gave me. Bobby quoted me $944 for a used alternator $347 for a new battery and a couple other things I can't remember off the top of my head the total for repairs was $2000 which is more than what I even paid to purchase the car. Also while I was there I was extremely uncomfortable, whenever I asked for further explanation on a problem he mentioned my car had I was made to feel like an idiot because he would disregard the question. He wasn't necessarily rude just short and unhelpful. I could tell I wasn't going to get what my car needed even if I did pay the $2000. I paid $120 for nothing because I got no repairs done. Luckily he was nice enough to do the bare minimum and charge my battery. I bought this car from a friend who would never sell me a trash vehicle. Yes it's definitely dinged up and needs maintenance but I knew it wasn't $2000 worth. I took my car today to S&M Auto Repair my friend who sold me the car took it there regularly for service. I got a new Alternator and a new battery terminal for $250 and my car is back to sounding and operating normal. If you do choose Bobby's just be careful, bring someone with you who know cars or get a second opinion on the pricing for the repairs.

Got a flat tire and noticed while out to lunch during work. Luckily Bobby's shop was just across the street. Eventhough he said he didn't do patches he still helped me out eventhough my car needed a patch and at a reasonable price too! This place was a lifesaver. Thank uou Bobby.

Bobby is very honest! He saved me close to $900! I originally took my car to another place (Westside Transmission & Automotive) that was dishonest about what I needed done. They said that I needed my fuel pump changed which was a very expensive job. I was skeptical so I brought my car to Bobby's Auto Repair. Bobby told me that all I needed was an oil change and some other minor stuff. Thank you very much! I will definitely be coming back!

Finding a good mechanic that is honest and fair is NOT easy. Bobby's is that needle in a haystack where you can rest assured your car will be repaired by honest professionals. Yesterday was my second visit and all I can say is WOW. My air conditioner was not working and Bobby took a look. To my good fortune it was not a huge repair. I was expecting to have to replace the compressor....well Bobby checked a few important things and said "I think you need to remove the freon and reinstall it." Ten or fifteen minutes later my A/C system was back and working like new. The team at Bobby's repair has my thanks. It is my pleasure to recomend this shop without reservation. I will be back soon and again appreciate this auto repair facility.

I was searching all day for an auto repair shop and then I came across Bobby’s. The reviews looked good as well as prices.I went in there a bit before they were closing and they still took my car in and gave me an amazing price and service compared to other auto shops. I absolutely would go back to this shop in the future. Bobby is incredibly kind. He saw the scratches on the side of my car and told me he would feel guilty charging me because it was so easy to fix. He came out and buffed out the paint that was scratched on my car. I told him I couldn’t let him do it for free so I gave him some cash. I highly doubt you will find, honest and kind body shops around here, so please give Bobby your time if you need bodywork.

No. This mechanic is not honest. My car stopped in the middle of traffic during rush hour. I had it towed to his shop the next morning. The tow truck driver said it was the fuel pump. Bobby called me and said he was right. I paid for it to be replaced. Shortly after picking up my car, up I noticed the condition had significantly worsened. I was right. It stopped again, twice. He told me he did what he was supposed to while laughing at me with his worker. No, he did not. He did not fix the problem. Either he charged me for a part that was not needed or he never examined the problem but went with the statement of a tow truck driver who had not done any diagnostics. I had a problem with him a few years back. Thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt. This has proved to be a costly mistake! Never again. I will hold him accountable. His dishonesty puts me in harms way while driving.

Bobby and his team were great. I came in for a check engine light I needed off for a smog test, something wrong with the gas sensor on my old Honda, usually an easy fix. Needless to stay the problem was a little more complex and persisted afterward which warranted more trips to the mechanic. He kept working on my car free of charge until the problem was solved, standing by his warranty of the initial repair even though I had to spread out my visits over multiple weeks due to my schedule. Very accommodating, and he eventually fixed the problem without having to buy more parts. I haven't had to find a mechanic since Ive been in LA and was looking for someone who does great work and I can trust, Bobby and his business are definitely the type of mechanics you can trust. This will be my go-to guy as long as im living in LA. Highly recommend.

It’s a bit disappointed experience. Very expensive price and they are not professional. Weeks ago My 2009 Toyota Prius turned on the warning engine light on the dashboard. I googled the nearest repair shop which is Bobby’s Auto Repair. The first time I went there, asked Bobby for diagnosing my car, turn out to be the error code was about the coolant pump, I wanted to save some money so I asked Bobby if I can buy the part and they do the replacing job for me, he said yes, so I drove back and bought the part on Amazon. The second time I brought the part and got there, he did the diagnosis again, unfortunately there were two error code this time, I asked him what is the problem, he told me he will check the engine and figure it out then told me how it will work for next. Hours later he called me, he needed to replace the coolant pump and then it will be okay. Since I bought the part already, I need to pay the labor fee, it will cost 392, I asked for discount, we fixed on 250 for the labor. Then he told me he will start working on it after the engine cooldown and 2 hours later he called me again. He told me one code is disappeared but another code is still there, and he needs to replace another pump too, and it will cost 392 for the labor and the part will be 131.08. Although I didn’t realize the labor for replacing the pump is so expensive, even I already paid 250, but the second time for 392, it is way more expensive than I expected. But if this is a fare price in the market, I’m okay with that. Why I feel disappointed is because he told me it will be okay after replacing the first pump, but then it was not okay, I think it is fair enough we have to face new problems in the processing of fixing, but if the repair shop charged you and they figured out it didn’t work, should they take a bit responsibility for the next repairing cost? And today I went to another shop, they told me for replace the part need labor 1.8 hours and cost 178, Bobby told me it need 3.9 hours! And cost 392! Crazy! I’m lucky when I felt something wrong at his shop, never again Bobby.

No greeting no smile, no thank you. The attitude alone makes you feel unwelcome but it’s an emergency and you have no choice but to allow them to work on your car. “Bobby” does not appreciate nor care about establishing a client base. I came to him on June 1st from a referral across the street at O’Reiley’s. I came in with my new alternator and the man told me it was a 2 hr job and I should leave my car there and come back. I’m in heels and I have no where to go, so I stayed around. The job took 30 minutes to do and I paid him $140 in cash and he didn’t want to issue me a recipe and said his work had no warranty at all so why would I want a receipt. I asked for a receipt for my personal reasons and he then went ahead and wrote one. The man is very unprofessional and takes advantage of women customers because he thinks we are naive. Today I decided to give him another chance and give him my business again. My car got broken into and my tool box stolen so I have no tools to open the door panel and retrieve the broken lock part that is inside of the door panel obstructing the window. He wanted me to leave my car there and charge me $250 to open the door panel “because it’s a very hard job to open it up” he said. It takes 10 minutes or less to do so, just look on YouTube and you’ll see. LADIES, DON’T GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. GO ELSEWHERE.

Bobby's service, professionalism and can do attitude were much better that I expected. I had a burned out low beam headlight. His estimate was half from I would had paid at my original mechanic. Before he decided to remove parts, he fiddled with the wiring and it worked. Took about 5 minutes. Charge was 0$. Are you kidding me? I asked him about some repair costs to my 2006 Subaru Forester so I could make a comparison with the dealer's estimates. Bobby was was between 30 to 50% less on the estimates. In some cases, he said that I didn't need anything what the dealer was saying. As a retired combat Navy fighter pilot, this is the guy for your automobile repairs.

Bobby is the man. Dented/scraped up my car pretty good - took it to a bunch of other places and they were telling me I had to fully replace the door and do all this extra stuff. Took it to Bobby and basically said "can you just make it look new again without having to replace the door," to which his answer was "yup." Little less than a week later, that's exactly what happened. You would never know it had ever been damaged at all. All for obviously much lower price than what everyone else was quoting me, since he just cleaned up the problem instead of getting a whole new door! It was exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn't find anyone else that would do it. Highly trust Bobby and highly recommend him to anyone that asks. Nice and professional guy that does what he says he'll do. Very appreciative of Bobby and his team, and very glad I was able to find him.

Bobby’s Auto Repair is a FIVE STAR mechanic! Bobby, the very kind and very honest owner, helped me personally the whole time. My Ford Escape badly needed a full OEM fan assembly replacement (it had been broken for a month). Bobby quoted me on the OEM part and his labor like an old friend. Furthermore, Bobby’s total estimate was the lowest price of the Top 10 Ford mechanics in LA on Yelp that I called! He repaired my fan assembly in the time he quoted. He repaired my car 4 hours after I dropped it off and on the same day. No hidden labor charges. No extra repairs forced on me. No increased invoice. My old honest mechanic in North Hollywood sold his business last year, so I needed to find a new honest mechanic this year. Thank you for your excellent repair and customer service Bobby!
