Okay, This is the miracle repair of my 24 year old Columbus Steel bicycle. My bike frame was made by Antonio Mondonico in Italy and marketed under Torelli. I hit a railroad track the wrong way just after the MS150 and bent, cracked my front fork. No one, and I mean no one, would touch the bike because of its age and particular fork design. I walked into BBW with my sad story, when one of the Mechanics said, "I know that frame and its maker." Oh, Boy, I had hit it big. Problem was no one made that fork any more. But wait, the Mechanic said, "I think a man bought Torelli and may still be in business." I called Torelli, and spoke with the new owner Todd and he was willing to help, but they only had one fork from era and it wasn't chromed. With some crying on my part and a willingness to part with half of my life savings, Todd agreed to have the fork chromed and shipped to BBW in time for me to ride in the September Great Cycle Challenge. The shop got the fork, rebuilt the front end and I am 418 miles of 500 mile target and $3,000 into my September charity ride. Russell Boyd 82nd Airborne.

Went in today just needing a few small bits done. Fitted me in straight away - was in and out in 10 minutes. Super nice bunch of guys who were really kind and considerate. Would definitely recommend. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a bike shop

Amazing bicycle shop! Did what I thought was the impossible (was told by other bike people somewhere else). They listened and found me exactly what I was looking for to add to my used homegrown bike I just got! I highly recommend and never make reviews. Thanks Bill and the rest of BBW!

Brian and the rest of the staff at Boulder Bicycle Works treat every customer that walk through their door with respect. They go above and beyond for their customers, whether that’s holding bike parts for months on end, doing minor adjustments in real time, offering advice, and always treat people well - whether it’s a new rider who has come in with a flat tire, or a professional looking for an intricate overhaul. The prices are always fantastic and I couldn’t recommend a bike shop more - in Boulder and across the whole country. Thanks for being a great shop!!

Fixed up my very old, but still serviceable mountain bike so it was safe and fun to ride again. Didn't try to upsell me anything extra, price was very reasonable. Super nice people, highly recommend!

Hidden gem! Can’t believe I didn’t find this shop until recently! Service is top notch, vibe is so good, no frills just real. 4 mechanics and they crush on every level. I race bikes and have an E-Bike. This shop has built both my race bike and E-bike, serviced my gravel and TT bikes. Always available, helpful, knowable, professional. AND they have a female mechanic💪 Thanks BBW!

The best bike shop! Brian couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Everyone at the shop is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Even without an appointment, if you're a need, they've got your back. Honest, friendly, reliable, and they do great work. What more could you ask for. If I'm not in Boulder already and I need bike work, I'll drive there because it is truly worth it. Thank you Brian for being such a gem!!

Very knowledgeable and courteous front of house. They are also very pro about detailing any assessments or work order quotes via email. That alone is rare and very helpful in managing bike work and tracking exact specs, part #s, labor, etc. well done BBW!

Popped a tube commuting to work. After work, I walked in and spoke with Brian who was super friendly and gave me some info on my tires. I bought an inexpensive tube and they gave me the tools to swap it real quick to get me back on my commute. It was nice to be treated so well considering my beat up old bike.

I brought my electric bike to this shop for a new rear tire and a brake tune up, and left after paying my $160 bill. It didn't take me long to realize the electric functions of my bike were completely dis functional . After I brought this attention to one of the techs, he told me blatantly, "we didn't touch any of that, there's nothing we can do" (edited, it was not the owner I spoke to that was a mistake on my part.) He then advised me to go somewhere else to have the electric components looked at. After further examination I discovered vital wiring was damaged. To pay $160 only to receive a broken, non-functioning bicycle, especially as a CU Boulder student who is struggling for money and uses his bike daily, combined with an employee who refuses to take any responsibility, is appalling service. I strongly caution other electric bike owners against using this shop. They failed to execute a basic repair, damaged my property, and demonstrated a complete lack of accountability or customer service.

The BEST bike shop. Doug and the rest of the staff go above and beyond offering their time, knowledge, and expertise. After buying my first fancy road bike, Doug set me up from the beginning. From building out my bike, to quick tune-ups and ordering specific parts, to even taking the time out of his day to show me how to properly change a flat tire! He is extremely thoughtful and respectful offering advice, answering all of my questions, and working on my bike in real time so I can learn. This shop truly cares about the cycling community and providing outstanding service so we can all get out there and ride. I always leave this shop feeling 100% confident with my bike and I can’t thank Doug and the rest of the staff here enough!

My first time here and I’m so glad I found Boulder Bicycle Works. Everyone here is kind and friendly. Bill was very welcoming, the turnaround was ridiculously quick and the pricing reasonable. Brian was awesome too - he took the time to listen, to answer all my questions and to make sure my bike (and I) left there very happy. These guys clearly care and are passionate about what they do!

Last summer I rode a chunk of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Prepping for the ride involved turning a HT XC MTB into a gravel touring bike. So many changes were done and components added that I decided a professional fit was needed. While there are a number of good bike fitters in Boulder, I wanted to work with someone experienced in long distance, off road riding. Eric at BBW fit the bill. While the process cost a little more than I had budgeted, the end result was well worth the investment. Over the course of 30 days and 1450 miles, with a 70+ y/o body, I experienced zero upper or lower body joint pain. It was pure pleasure being able to enjoy the ride and experiences on the route in comfort and style. A couple of minor saddle sores and occasional numb hands were the only discomfort I experienced. For anyone considering a long distance tour, I highly recommend seeking out Eric and Boulder Bicycle Works.
